Nice pics tiberius. I just finished watching the cap movie again. Great shots.

Also those ice things can be used for iceman's arctic attack special from MvC2

Good old Frost Giants, one of the few Gigantic Battle sets that you can actually army build. That's pretty glorious. I wonder if they're going to release any more Gigantic Battle Sets anytime soon...

Hey guys I was perusing my Dollar Tree looking for useful fodder and I came across these "icicle" Christmas ornaments. I think they will make excellent ice blasts for Iceman. Here's some pics, apologies for the condition of my work bench, I have about 5 customs going on at once:

Packaged two to a pack for a buck!
http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/PB110058.jpg

In hand size comparison against dark background:
http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/PB110057.jpg

IM2 Comic series War Machine standing in for Iceman ('ol Bobby Drake ain't in the shop, and don't mind Soundwave there!):
http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/PB110059.jpg

I am gonna pick up a few more packs, well worth it and painted in various clears (red, blue, yellow) I think they would make awesome blast effects for tons of characters!

Also picked up a couple T-700 Terminators there for a buck each! Gonna couple them up with a few Dr.Doom parts and make broken Doombots......

Happy hunting!

Thats freaking epic man. I may have to check the dollar tree for those even though I don't currently own an Iceman

No they dont have the deluxe packs or whatever they're called. Giant battles. The local toy shop near my house has robot thor alone for 7

Are you looking for the gigantic battle set or just Thor then?

I'd take whatever I could get, thor alone would be much cheaper

If you don't just get Thor, I can take a look for the set.

Optimus Vader 11-11-2011 01:37 PM

I have the set, unopened, for $20 in my sales/trade thread.

I like these two..especially when Marvell uses two ding dongs to fight.

RAC 11-11-2011 02:46 PM

I really wish they'd move the Iron Man 2-style effect pieces into MU proper- they're much nicer than the clipons in MU. Though at the same time I think I know why they don't: I've had soft plastic pieces like those interact poorly with some of the figures I have. They seem to leech paint off of figures, and are particularly good at taking the color overspray off of those with metallic paint...

Optimus Vader 11-11-2011 02:52 PM

A little Red Skull appreciation..

Those look great Boba!

Boba Fettuccini 11-11-2011 03:29 PM

Thanks! I'm still looking for ponytail options and hands... my sister offered me some doll hair that might work. I tried Scarlett's ponytail but the swords get in the way.

I just saw like three classic GI Joe Scarlett's at TJ Maxx. She has a pony tail, try that. Only $3.99 too. I meant to grab them that day, so I'll have to make the trip again.

Boba Fettuccini 11-11-2011 03:39 PM

That's the figure I was talking about :P I tried it but the swords on her back get in the way.

Can the tail be just cut off and relocated higher? Or even on another head? Offhand I can't think of any more pony tailed heads, maybe in the Homies line? Do they even still make them? Mary Jane has a pony tail right? Rare figure to be cutting up though. I passed on her the one time I saw her and definitely regret it now. MU needs more civillians: Aunt May, Jarvis, Betty Ross, etc..

That lady Deadpool looks great cant wait for the final version. If the ponytail gets in the way how about considering 2 pony tails on the side , like Harley Quinn style , just a suggestion.

Mr. T: Doctor Strange, man! What the hell?!? I go inside to take a dump and I come out to find you guys ...stealing my van?!? MY VAN?!?

Doctor Strange: "Er..yeah, look,...about that...y'see, Face said you were afraid of flying and I said, "That's because he relies on that van to get him everywhere" and Wade was like "You know what would be funny? Putting his van on a plane!" and Face was all "Hells yeah, but we only have a Cessna" and I was like "Phht. I can fix that!".

Really, you were supposed to be in there longer- that was really quick.

Mr. T:"Taco Bell man..it just..gushes-"
Doctor Strange:"Say no more!
Deadpool: That's why I wear a red costume..
Face: (winces)

Mr. T:"Okay, ha ha...so that would have been real funny-can I have my van back now? "

Face: "No."

Mr. T:"I pity the fool that messe-"

Everyone in unison: "SHUT UP!"
