They'll definately repaint the Walgreens Ant Man into "classic" ant man sooner or later.

Personally, I'd rather a regular Onslaught head, since the old Onslaught BAF doesn't look so hot. But to each his own.

I'd rather have a regular Red Skull body (that isn't the terrible Winter Soldier/Nick Fury one) and leave the X-Men lackeys for X-Men waves.

And as for movie Yellowjacket, Darren Cross doesn't actually suit up until late in the movie. Hasbro may not bother due to that alone.

Isn't Yellow Jacket Ant-Man's biggest villain though? Last time I checked, Bulldozer, Grim Reaper, and Tiger Shark have nothing to do with Ant-Man.

None of the Walgreens around here yet are stocking them. I called a few around the Inland Empire and they're telling me next shipment probably. Tomorrow I will stop by a couple places to see if they got any...no luck so far.

Yellow Jacket isn't a villain at all, he's just another of Hank Pyms personas. Ant Man doesn't really have a biggest villain, except maybe Egghead

Those pics are awesome. Where did you get that Hulk at? I don't think I've ever seen him.

Brilliant pictures adpinoy, it's always a pleasure to see your work! Love the Secret Avengers team so it's nice to complete them with a modern Valkyrie figure.

id have loved to have the FF scott lang and the regular pym. I know Secret Avengers completists wanted Black Ant but i couldn't care for him.

anyone have any recommendations for good paints to use for customizing?

I'm gonna throw an extra Captain Marvel head on AOA Jean, but I have to paint the hair, I just don't want it to look gross.https://40.media.tumblr.com/b5bde34e...b7k5o6_540.png

well i used model color acrylic colour for my colossus
i was thinking of the AOA jean the other day and her head scuplt looks very much like the one they used on wasp from the SDCC 13/14 images though the wasp is smiling and looks more happy than serious

Tamiya perhaps? I'm slightly jealous of you, as I reacted too late and now I want an AOA Jean. Who are you thinking of displaying her with?

Any of the decent acrylic brands will work. Testors Model Master, Games Workshop Citadel or Tamiya (I don't know their line name) should work just fine. The biggest thing is to use acrylic and not enamel. Thankfully the Captain Marvel head is blonde so it is easy to paint over. You can prime it if you want but probably not necessary.

Google and check out the tutorials from Jin and AC if you want some more details. Their tutorials are great.

@kenm2474 which wave is that? Hulkbuster I'm guessing since it's Avengers not Spider-man?

That's so weird. The Hulkbuster wave, which we're now seeing around the country some, is still on preorder through BBTS but yet the Rhino wave which is supposedly a "later" release (next month?) Is shipping. I can't keep up anymore. Maybe TRU store will be shipping soon too (and the HB wave for those who ordered through BBTS)

kenm2474 07-21-2015 02:45 PM

I would say Ant-Man's biggest villain is Ultron. Even though they never fight one on one, Hank is solely responsible for creating one of the biggest plagues on existence in their universe and it really gets to him.

I'm still super-bummed that the Onslaught BAF is Red Onslaught and not the main Onslaught. The Onslaught event may not have been particularly good but I've always really liked Onslaught for looking cool and for being stupidly powerful.

Thanx. I plan on it.

Walgreens has the Ant-man available online now. I got two of them for 33 bucks (free shipping) thanks to the Walgreens rewards point thingy. Awesome!
