Sodo is sticking to Heisei, so ZO is a maybe, but Black RX might be harder, though is possible since it was the rider that ended the previous era. Shodo has already done both though, so I assume you already have those.

I do have all of the SHODO so far, even the first SHODO X although I have no interest in vehicles, really. I wanted the updated versions of KR1 and 2. Since we're getting Auto Vajin though I'm gonna need that too, regardless.

I honestly want more villains.

New discovery on Kansou Girls/Unlimits Project.
The peg system is the same peg system as the little quarter machine robots. So they can use gear from that.
I'm definitely going to have to order more of them now, and see if I can find more of those little robots too.

More are coming! Shodo's not going away anytime soon.

Oh I know. I wish I could say the same certainty for their Dragon Ball line.

You're not wrong, but ShodoVS might be done (there has been nothing said about a wave 10). While Shodo-X is continuing the line, there hasn't been any signs of monsters, henchmen, or villains toys in it (Excluding Riders that are villains, like Shocker Riders).

Yeah, not sure what's taking so long there. Kale, Caulifla, and Kefla are supposed to be getting made.

They'd better give us more VS dammit.

Did you hear something about that happening, or is that just wishful thinking/speculation? I'd be glad to finally get some gals in the set... but I kinda really want Piccolo and some Android/Cell saga stuff really bad too.

Shodo evolves, so VS may end eventually, but X will continue, and then when X ends, it'll be when something else picks up its slot.

More monsters will come, but it'll be specific to big name ones and less monster of the week types. Like Chalice's monster form(and the recolor variant of the movie one) and Takumi's orphenoch form should be on the list of soon-ish, same to Smart Lady. And we may see eventually some others that are re-occurring bad guys like the ones in W. Or Lucky Clover from Faiz. So mostly stuff that has big presences. But more will come eventually.

One of the other things though with Shodo, to offset the complete new molds, there are plans to try and re-use molds in different ways when possible, as well as maintain a way to get troop builders out sporadically. That was one of the reasons we got the Kabuto Riot Trooper, so we may get the Faiz autoTroopers too. So cost recouping through mold re-usage takes priority when possible to help pay for the new molds for others. This is why we see shocker riders so rapidly too, and also why we got so many variations of the henchmen. Easy troop builder mold re-usage.

On Riders though, they can't keep too many side by side rider lines going at the same time, as it bites too much into the budget for each, but the shodo standard was essentially built on a cost cut version of MRS, because MRS became too pricey to keep going. Shodo is the mainstay line to replace it.

But also gotta keep that budget balanced so it doesn't fold like MRS had to.

Supposed to and will are two different things, but one of the areas that pushes Shodo along has implied as such because of how big of a fan they are of them. Bulma was unknown though (She'd be wishful thinking but should get made too!). And they are supposed to cover more of Super in general, which by extension means covering various classic Z too since many make cameos in Super anyway. IIRC, Cell & kid Buu were the only exceptions there, but right now I think they've switched focus to prepping for movie hype stuff. Haven't heard much on the Dragonball side since Vegetto. But I know BOJ does want to keep it going. They were doing some older stuff for a bit, then are supposed to switch to tournament of power stuff(select ones), and then not sure what's after. The end goal is to eventually cover every big fan fave though.

CycloneJoker, HeatMetal, and LunaTrigger will have the splitting gimmick. These figures may not have waist joints because of it.

More of those cool Unlimits Project Girl and Heavy Replacement Robo sets have been put up for pre-order on gashapon sites. This time there are parts to create creatures and beast modes for the girls.

Here's the gacha machine inserts:

Got them on order already too. Along with that wave's Kansou girls. xD

Though really debating on picking up a second set of both these and the orange series ones.

Looking over the parts, they'd make a really good Alita, and other customs. Already from the parts given you can make "Strength" from Black Rock Shooter, Alita from Battle Angel, and the new pink and white one with the Kansou girl pink and white torso almost looks like a Symphogear inspired design.

Oh, and the BB in the sets stands for "Bild Beast" apparently.

I'll try and get some pics up of the Orange, white, and Black wave this weekend. Going to see about making a temp photo area to work with.

There's also a cutesy water gun minifigure line that's going now, that has some decent parts for upgrading GI Joe's with. The figures in it are SD style like Desktop Army, but their gear should be compatible with a wide array of 4" figures, and there are packs of only the gear with no figures.

Aqua Shooters.
http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1541153623

But they seem to be really popular and have sold out pretty fast at most shops. Though some still have the extra weapon sets.

Shodo-X wave 4 (April 2019):
http://www.toyark.com/attachments/51...9e25b794b1.jpg

It's Ryuki time in Shodo-X land. Might not be the full wave, but definitely to bulk of it. Looking forward to this wave.

Personal side note, I'm not thrilled about the pace Shodo-X is going. ShodoVS waves were about 3 months apart for most of it's run (7 months max). Shodo-X has been releasing every other month. Some people will welcome this as it's more faster, but for me that starts to strain my budget and I'd rather this line not go the same way as SO-DO did where there's just so much so fast that I burn out like I did after SO-DO Ex-Aid. But I digress, I just needed to finally vent about this...Final Vent you could say.

SO-DO Zi-O Ride 4 (Dec 2018):
http://www.toyark.com/attachments/51...f44d218902.jpg
The OOOs Armor was revealed over the weekend on the Blog here (lots more pics):
【ジオウ食玩WATCHER vol.13】『タカ・トラ・バ㠃ƒã‚¿!!』装動RIDE4のライン ƒŠãƒƒãƒ—を公開開始!! 双動 Wのプレミアãƒ*ãƒãƒ³ãƒ€ã‚¤é ™å®šã‚»ãƒƒãƒˆã‚‚好評受注ä *!! - バンダイ ã‚*ャンディ スタッフ BLOG

Doing the math we look to be 1 or 2 short of the full wave. This wave will be 8 types total. OOOs is 2, there is 1 normal Zi-O body for OOOs to use, and 3 other Ride Armors. That's 6 of 8 if the wave doesn't have a Ride Armor Body. If the wave has a Ride Armor Body, that makes 7 of 8.

Kind of hoping that it's the first option. I'd rather there be room for Gaim Armor in the wave, but that's just me wanting the 2 Ride Armors I really want in a single wave.

Sure is. I picked up the pinball machines and pose skeletons from this gashapon store:

https://global.rakuten.com/en/store/...om/item/g50261

And the Tiny Arcade video games are from amazon.com.

I came across a figure using the SHODO form factor in the Super Min Pla line for a character named Gridman.

Can't find anywhere it is decent priced so will have to pass on it.

They have another one coming out next year as a Premium Bandai exclusive.

Looking for more info about these I also found the Megahouse is planning a new line called Actibuilder and will be 10cm as well.
The only figure I could find for this line so far was also Gridman.

Gridman had a Saban version long ago (man, I'm old) and it aired here in Brazil too

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N34MmqmxqD0

It's a Tsuburaya property, so it's basically an electronic version of Ultraman with some GaoGaiGar-esque mecha combinations. There's a new anime airing in Japan now, it is decent:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMVH4bvG5GM

Loved this Super Mini-pla, but missed its release for hours and it is sold out everywhere at reasonable prizes...

Blade Raider 11-26-2018 08:23 PM

Saban had nothing to do with Syber-Squad. It was DiC that did the Power Rangers style adaption.

You're right. I expressed myself poorly, I meant it as "a sabanized version", just like Power Rangers in comparison to the original sentai.

Universe 11-27-2018 12:00 PM

I was hoping they would of had a new wave of Shodo Dragon Ball figures by now. Kamen Rider saturates their time and energy it seems.

As others pointed out, it's Gridman, a tsuburaya property in Japan. Same people who own Ultraman. So part of the same rights areas as Mirrorman too.

Megahouse is handling the recent Anime version toys, alongside another company. I think "Good Smile" was the other company doing toys for it.

And Bandai is handling classic done in super mini-pla. The secondary one is from concepts of a second series that never got made, and includes the Dragon Armor too.

It's a live action tokusatsu show from Japan. Essentially as others put it, an electronic ultraman that's computer based instead of being an alien peace keeping force. The anime "SSSS.Gridman" is available in the US and Japan, though now the dub is roughly a week to two weeks behind the sub. Was simultaneous released at first. It's available on CrunchyRoll. In the 90s, the original live action show was edited and turned superhuman samurai syber squad using the spliced footage techniques that Saban had made popular through Power Rangers.

Has a whole wikipedia page with info on it. It's one of the ones with wide amounts of information readily available.

Not technically to scale, as Gridman is roughly Godzilla sized. Still a really cool character though and a fun show.

Maybe they were just waiting for the SSGSS Gogeta reveal. One can hope at least.

But then that means another Broly :|

That's my hope too. But I hope it's the newly designed Broly with black hair; he's not so gigantic in that form and may scale better.
