But the Mattel one was in a coat and didn't come with a hat.

That is the only way this Joker will be worth buying, if the hat comes off. If not, I'll just stick to my Mattel one.

Toysrus has the 1966 batgirl figure in stock now for $19.99.

Just search comic con.

Anyone else excited for the return of 6" figures with C&C figures? Not much to go off of for the first wave, but we know we'll at least be getting comic figures and figures from both Arrow and The Flash. We're also getting movie figures in the same scale that also have a C&C. Though for at least BvS it's a grapnel gun replica instead of a figure.

305Batman 07-10-2015 08:06 PM

I am very excited!

That was terrible. Batman is now branding people with his Batarang? Lex has hair!! It seems to be all action and no plot. People are bowing down to Superman and he is accepting it. The CGI in the trailers is absolutely atrocious looking. Those scenes where Superman was flying over the battlefield makes the CGI in Terminator Genisys look good.
The only positive I can say is that at least it could have been a worse trailer.

Obviously that is the point of talking about the trailer. I hated it. I don't see Batman or Superman. I see Batgod and Superjerk. I see Owlman and Ultraman.

Perfect, what's not to like? You prefer Gary Stu boy scout boredom and training wheels McBatty?

I prefer my Superman to be fun and colorful. Yes, I want him to be the boyscout because that is who he is. He is not supposed to be dark and brooding, that is what Batman is for. Even the Batman O'Neil wrote in the 70s (my definitive version) was not a jackass. What is everyone's obsession these days with wanting to make their Batmans a complete utterly unlikable douchebag? Nevertheless, Batman and Superman work so well together because they are opposites.

There is a lot not to like. Batman killing people. Branding them with his batarang. Superman having an army that bows to him. Superman floating over Metropolis like he owns the place.

I also watched that really poor quality Suicide Squad trailer and it seemed like everyone forgot there was more than just Harley in the movie because no one cheered for Croc, Enchantress, Katana, or Boomerang. Oh, and WilL Smith forgot that Deadshot is supposed to wear his mask 90% of the time. Waller is supposed to be fat (yes, I know, N52).

Oh yeah, and nope, I just don't see Joker in Leto. I still see some ghetto fanboy that tattooed himself up and likes Lil' Wayne so much he put a grill in his mouth.

Lex could've been wearing a wig, but that doesn't excuse the casting. I wish I could've liked the new trailer but it seems obvious they're trying too hard to catch up with what Disney/Marvel has. Wonder Woman's involvement has received zero explanation so far and seems forced so they can jump to a JL movie faster.

Phantomcrow 07-12-2015 12:59 AM

Before this gets to off the thread topic. Lex has had hair before, He was a red head. In 1986 after Crisis he had hair, lost it due to Kryptonite poisoning. Yes it is not harmful in small doses, but Lex wore a ring of it at all times and it slowly poisoned him. It eventually hurt him enough that he had to transfer his mind to a young clone body of himself in the 90's and for a few years after he had long red hair and pretended to be his own son. After the clone body started to have issues he made a deal with the devil Neron (Underworld Unleashed) and come out with a healthy mature 30 something body with zero health issue.

On another note, I liked the trailer (even with Eisenberg being a strange choice for Lex)(also it is obvious that Bruce has been thru some stuff and appears to have lost a Robin and given up being Batman and the events of MoS have made him get back in shape and become Batman again) ,

I liked to new 6 inch toys. And I am happy that the CnC stuff is coming back. The figures are an interesting choice, but the CnC choice leaves a lot do be desired.

Gene Hackman's Luthor wore wigs and he pulled them off. The original Superman movie will always reign supreme in my eyes and Terence Stamp will always be the best Zod.

I was going to comment on the trailer, but I don't have to. I agree and feel the same that you do about DC's new cinematic universe.

305Batman 07-12-2015 07:11 AM

Luthor is the worst thing about this movie,he looks 17.

Dr Kain 07-12-2015 07:18 AM

Another issue I forgot to mention is Martha Kent. WTF?! "Go save the world, or don't who cares, you don't owe them anything." THAT IS NOT MARTHA!!! That would be like Uncle Ben telling Peter, "With great power comes the decision to do whatever the hell you want because no one can be better than you."

Anyway, figure wise, sadly, the only thing I have any interest in is the DC Icons line, and even then, the quality control is going to determine that for me. I'll pick up Flash and Superman and their quality will determine if I get Joker and Harley. Maybe Blue Beetle depending on how he compares to the Mattel one.

She's SOLD OUT!

I'm so upset I missed out on this.

Hopefully Mattel will still release that 3-pack later on down the road!

3233rafael 07-12-2015 10:18 AM

Yeah...at the end of the day, the movie and the toys are not for everyone. They're only for true DC fans!

Barefootabe 07-12-2015 10:31 AM

Barefootabe 07-12-2015 10:56 AM

lol thanks! i just keep getting more and more hyped for this movie :D

Ravenxl7 07-12-2015 12:41 PM

I'm not fully sold on the Justice Buster wave yet, but I'm definitely going to get the Dawn of Justice wave. All four figures revealed are must-haves and I love the grapnel gun C&C.

I'm also going to get the 6" Basic line's Batmobile to display with the Multiverse figures.
