While I love Ol' Blue Eyes, I was thinking more along the lines of Sugar Ray:

♫ I-i-i-i-i just wanna Directional Float ♫

:D

three things about that pic.

1. cant they both fly?
2. where are their seat belts?
3. one would think you would remove your cape before driving.

Other than that, seems perfectly natural!!!! ;)

1. I can walk, but prefer to drive. I'm thinking if walking uses energy flying has to also right? I saw a physics paper once that concluded Superman would have to consume something like 8 million calories a day! so I think even if you could fly (or become non caporal and float) after the novelty wore off you'd drive.
2. no one wore seat belts until 1997.
3. for reasons I don't care to explore at this juncture I have found myself behind the wheel more than once with a cape on. the proper procedure is to bundle it up and sit it to your non door side (right US/ left UK) YOU DO NOT WANT TO JUST SIT ON IT! you will choke! I think it works on the same law of nature that causes your underwear to crawl up your but when your stationary in a chair.

my question is when did Vision get a drivers license?

En Sabah Nerd 04-14-2014 02:56 PM

Well Vision's mind is just a copy of Wonder Man's, so he was born knowing how to drive and got a license, maybe.

kylactus 04-14-2014 03:23 PM

So you propose that Vision went to the DMV, stood in line, got in the car with a driving instructor, lost points for not wearing his seatbelt, got his picture taken, and got a license? what ID did he use to prove identity? what would he put for birth day? if he put when he was constructed he would have only been a couple years old at the time of the pic. and if his DMV is like the one near my house there's no way there buying the old "evil robotic construct containing the combined personalities of two separate and distinct superheroes that found the strength of will override his programing to become a force for good" story. they probably hear that one ten times a day.

That doesn't sound ridiculous at all, and if that didn't work Vision would bring Captain America with him and the DMV would be obliged to grant him a license, or else they're being unpatriotic.

Thanks for the shout out, but you really didn't have to tell everyone. I got a rep to protect man! Though seriously, I appreciate it the thanks. Sometimes you gotta help a fellow collector out. Especially one with kids. So no prob. And congrats on winning!

En Sabah Nerd 04-14-2014 08:32 PM

I would have liked to see (maybe we still can) a Legion of Monsters team pack with Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, and Morbius. I know that you can technically use the Legends figure of Man-Thing and still be in-scale, but I'd rather he be part of the pack. All I can do is hope (and tell you that I'm hoping).

trebleshot 04-15-2014 07:09 AM

Still no sign of MI in my area, but a lot of peg-warming MU :(

Even the Cap 2 stuff hasn't moved past wave 1. Maybe it's time to narrow my collecting focus even more....

That would be pretty cool, actually.

what's peg warming near you? everywhere around here has completely scrubbed MU from the Isles. The only MU items I've seen at retail are the three packs at Ross. other than that TRU, Target, Wal-Mart
( who hadn't gotten anything new since the Dr. Strange wave) and even the drug and book stores don't even have pegs anymore, that aren't full of 5 POA spidey or Avengers.

bmorr 04-15-2014 09:45 AM

so just curious, what is the release date for the next wave of MI figures? around SDCC? cause that coming in like 3 months.

BAD MOON 04-15-2014 11:46 AM

Couldn't wait for Hasbro any longer :)

Very well done. Especially regarding if Hasbro ever makes a Phoenix it would probably be the green costume.

bmorr 04-15-2014 12:58 PM

i gotta know how you painted on the pheonix logo.

Both of the Targets near me have several Hercs, a Puck, a couple Novas, Caps and a Darkhawk or two. One of the TRUs has Cap, Herc and Darkhawk.

Walmart is the only one around here who is as you described. But they never clearanced anything. The last wave of MU they got was the Black Knight wave and it completely sold out. Then they removed the pegs during the last reset.

They could release this version of Jean as Hope from Avengers Vs. X-men. She wore Jean's white Phoenix costume at the end there for a minute.

A couple of months ago the power went out for a few hours, man did I learn a lesson in preparedness. All we had for light were a couple of tea lights which did the job, I made the best of this lighting and the remaining power in my phone to take a picture of Kurse coming for you...

He's a pretty cool figure, he seems to have a few joints as well, not too many mind, but his legs are sadly rendered useless by the skirt.

We're kind of all friends here, I just finished my first piece ever of Man-Thing. I would appreciate some thoughts or comments.http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps700da4ff.jpg

That looks great. I like the way that Man-Thing is hard to distinguish from the lower brush. He should blend in too his environment a bit. The detail on the head is nice too.

rea1180 04-15-2014 06:18 PM

I think this speaks to how far behind Mu is in my area. I just ordered Nova of Amazon to finish off that wave, the last one I've seen.

you won the internet today.

I remember when this suit was first introduced in the comics, it was white and silver. that was one of my favourites as a kid, and why Jean is my favourite today.
