I had a few issues with the trailer but overall I am still very interested in the movie. The funny thing is the trailer actually sold me on Affleck as Batman. He actually looks like he might do a good job.

Eisenberg felt a little awkward as Lex but I have liked other performances his has given so I will wait to see how the whole thing pans out. I will say that I agree that it feels like they are forcing some stuff in order to get up to Marvel's level. Hopefully it pans out. As for the comments on Batman, I VERY much prefer a dark and gritty Batman. No yellow emblem, no light grey and blue.

As for the figures. The designer series Hal is definitely on my list as are the Icons Firestorm and John Stewart. Mixed on the Icons Hal and even though I would prefer a different color scheme I like the Icons Batman also. I wish they would give us a new GL/WL Kyle for once instead of yet another Hal or John though.

One of the Batman Suits on the Dawn of Justice movie trailer reminds me of Elseworlds JSA Liberty Files (Figure on the left).

No they're not. The movies are only made for the brain dead morons that go to see garbage like Bayformers every year. As a DC fanboy, these movies are not made for me.

Lol, Aww...did I hurt your feelings, did I make you mad? I'm sorry. There's a difference between a fanboy and a posser...you know, those who say they hate the movie but are the first ones in line at the theaters. Have you pre-order your ticket already? Lol

Chill out bro, it's just a movie.

Watch it or don't. Nobody cares.

Nope. You're right, I probably will go see it in the hope that I am surprised. I want the movie to be good, I really do. I want my favorite comic universe to have great movies, but WB needs to prove themselves capable of handling such a task first. However, if it doesn't have at least a 70% on RT or a good review from Jeremy Jahns, I might not go see it. This is one movie where I'm going to let the reviews determine if I see it or not.

BTW, I am a Transformers fan, but I have not seen AoE.

Don't. It's 16 hours of your life you won't ever get back.

Or at least it felt like it.

En Sabah Nerd 07-13-2015 11:32 AM

I walked into AoE thinking "it couldn't possibly be worse than RotF, right?" I may have never been so wrong, just uggghhh. That being said this thread is veering a little too far away from its toy intended focus.

CMIII 07-13-2015 11:36 AM

Ok it's official I have been right about almost everything I said. Mattel is bringing back DCUC 4H Style figures, It was under new management, And Scott Neitlich would not see it from inside... I feel vindicated. To paraphrase from Jurassic Park "I love being right all the time"

While i understand your frustration about DC films, because a few of them were just good not mind blowing. you should keep in mind, rotten tomatoes and or any critics opinions are just OPINIONS. i learned along time ago that you or anybody else can miss out on a potentially good movie because some schmucks online or in a magazine gave it a crap review.

i can speak personally and say i've seen a good handful of movies that got horrible reviews and i thought they were excellent.

Thank you! Yes, you're right...one can never have too many Batman figs! I agree with you, that JSA will become more popular because of the movie.

Yeah, that's an awesome figure! I don't think I have as extra one or else I'd hook you up. Do you collect by series or just Batman figs?

3233rafael 07-13-2015 02:41 PM

En Sabah Nerd 07-13-2015 03:42 PM

After seeing that the BvS trailer suddenly looks amazing in comparison.

See I always want the "Search for Kryptonite" Armored suit Superman and the "All American Boy"/Kryptonite infused Doomsday from that story.

Crossed my mind to make a Kryponite Doomsday since I have a couple of the Doomsday Unleashed figure.

AGH! White Lantern and Green Lantern Batman! SO JEALOUS right now LOL. Batman does tend to look pretty awesome in almost any 6-7" figure form.

As for the Suicide Squad trailer, I like how dark and gritty the DC stuff is compared to Marvel. Definitely going to give it a shot. Margot Robbie looks great as Harley.

The Search for Kryptonite series of action figures is awesome...but the entire Superman/Batman Toy Line is Amazing! Remember the Supermans?...

I have no complaints about BvS but SS, where do I begin? Aside from the fact that I can't stand Smith, when the hell does Deadshot show his face so much? Joker looks like Beiber ate silver paint and Croc is a dwarf! Robbie is awesome though!

Maybe it was that I couldn't stop thinking of Harley swinging on the ropes of that cell...but I loved it! Lol...I'm not a fan of Affleck or Smith but I love DC! I'll give them both a shot!

En Sabah Nerd 07-13-2015 06:40 PM

I'll give both films a shot and I really hope BvS delivers because it could be awesome.

Actually Deadshot spends a lot of Secret Six vol. 3 maskless and that book made me like the character a lot more than I used to, having said that he was usually maskless because they had loads of leisure time. He won't have his mask as much as we'd like in the movie because it's hard to follow someone's expressions when all you've got is an eye to follow.
