The pics of the Spider-Man wave are awesome! I am waiting for toys r us to process mine and ship it. I should have gotten it from BBTS or something. Ugh.

Dr Kain 07-27-2015 08:08 AM

I'm currently reading Spider-Verse and have been enjoying it quite a bit so far. I love that Morlun is back and he has a family. My only complaint is I wish the hardcover had put the stories in chronological order, but whatever. So far I have read through issue 12 of Amazing, both Spider-Verse issues, the first two Team-Up series, and the first 3 issues to Spider-Woman. I'm trying not to read the final issue to each series until after I read Amazing 13 and 14, because I don't want to spoil myself too much, but I will say that it does seem like you don't need to read every story to enjoy the main one, which is nice. I just need to start the Scarlet and the 2099 ones in the book (ans issue 5).

Did you end up getting some after all? Will you still need the parts from Misty Knight and Kraven? It's cool if not, just wondering. I'm in the same boat as you as I ordered from HTS as I didn't want the entire wave. Getting a little jealous though, but on the other hand, I have my HB wave whereas others do not. The shipping on these waves from the various places is weird. (I did get HB wave from a local comic shop but they must have gotten it from somewhere online I'm sure...)

Like i said i thought it was good, and yes the side stories were not really needed to get the full story.

I still need the parts from Kraven. Misty I'll be OK on. Thanks again! I got the Hulkbuster wave from a local comic shop too and the guy working there said they wouldn't get another until early September.

305Batman 07-27-2015 10:52 AM

Looking forward to seeing the finished Jack! I cannot decide on parts for him and will be curious to see what you chose. My Phyla keeps getting sidelined because I am a bit intimidated by trying to sculpt (never sculpted before) her quantum bands and I cannot decide how I am going to make the quantum blade. I am beginning to think she was an ambitious choice for a new customizer.

I have 4 other partially done customs sitting on my table next to my nearly complete Deadpool as well....

donmeca2020 07-27-2015 04:43 PM

Let me ask all of you guys something, what is the advantage of ordering from Hasbro as opposed to ordering from BBTS or dorkside??

TheBlueMarvel 07-27-2015 05:26 PM

@DonMecca2020
So far, I've only ordered from BBTS. They take a little bit to ship. I've yet to receive any BBTS Legends before "hunters" find them in the wild. The delay, may have to do with their habit of picking out superior paints for the orders they take. If you opt for their "collector" grade, they pick out the best paints and boxes (from what I understand). I order "standard" because...well, I'm cheap...and I'm a loose collector. Boxes are plastic and cardboard prisons from which my toys must be liberated! I've been this way since childhood, in spite knowing how much keeping toys packaged increases the value. While the paints are great on the figs I've gotten from BBTS via the standard grade feature, my Misty Knight suffers from a slight strabismus (lol...otherwise known as 'lazy eye'), as does my Rhino. Maybe it's time to upgrade a little and spend a bit more coin...

Jokes aside, I'm happy with them as an online dealer. I've had a few occasions to call their customer service and everyone has been really helpful and quite professional. The lazy eye thing is not a deal-breaker. From the shots I've seen of other Misty figs, the problem seems to run in the family. Easy enough to fix, Misty is going to peg warm fairly hard in stores...at least, I believe so...and I can just grab another from TRU or wherever.

I'm sure other people here have had far more dealings with both BBTS and Dorkside than I. I have only placed four Legends orders with them: the Odin wave, the Rhino wave, the Hulkbuster wave, and the Ultron wave...I'm still waiting for Hulkbuster and Ultron.

Spawn toys beg to differ :D

I agree on the point though, free toys from their Magneto prisons and just enjoy them. I feel in some cases it's almost insulting to the people who worked on these products to leave them locked up and mostly unappreciated.

TheBlueMarvel 07-27-2015 05:56 PM

@En Sabah Nerd

Lol...I know, right? People seem to want Spawn toys whatever way they come. Packaged. Loose. Broken! They always sell. I was surprised at how much I was able to net for my old Spawn figs! And they came in all the aforementioned conditions...People will never stop loving Spawn. We need a movie update. Hell, I'd even stomach Michael Jai White again to get another Spawn flick...joking, I actually like Mike as an actor.

i also have ordered tons of figures not just legends but others as well from BBTS and my last wave i ordered which was the hulkbuster wave i ended up trying dorkside. everything has always been top notch from BBTS and i only get the standard grade.

i notice quite a few others are always bringing up how they ordered from HTS, is there any significant discounts going on from them or are they quicker then the other two? what is it ?

Also i agree with you and Sabah. most of my figures come right out of the boxes unless the couple i still have sealed, because im still trying to figure out where and how to display them.

Compared to Leguizamo's Clown Michael Jai White was amazing for Spawn. Why did they make Terry a white guy?! My hopes are still high for the new supposed animated series. I love that Spawn toys are cheap and available as it allows me to get duplicates to finally open. Spawn was the one line where I generally kept everything mint, never again.

The old cartoon Spawn series was entertaining, to me. Yeah, I'm not sure why they changed Terry. The old Spawn figures are cheap (although certain figs still net more than you'd think they would), but anything series 11 and up is still going for $20-$30! I guess people still dig the sculpts...

all this talk about spawn figures has caught my interest again... sucks i gave a few away years back and i think i might have sold the black alien one at a flea market last year in december.

donmeca2020 07-27-2015 08:58 PM

anyone know where to navigate on the hasbro site for these SDCC items? or will you just be able to hit an immediate link to check out whats available?

donmeca2020 07-27-2015 09:23 PM

and not a damn thing yet.....

donmeca2020 07-27-2015 09:42 PM

very disappointed... its been 42 mins since midnight struck and hasbro has yet to throw any of the exclusives up. complete BS

kylactus 07-27-2015 09:49 PM

I'm surprised the price of the Angela figure from spawn hasn't shot up since her Marvel cross over.

Are you being sarcastic? If not, they never said that it would happen at midnight. There was a very, very low possibility, but more than likely it will be during business hours, as it has been every single other year since they started doing this. They do this so that they have all their staff on hand for the onslaught of orders.
