I think I may add some paint to Catwoman's zipper like the others.
Plus that yellow they used on the goggles seems too bright. It doesn't look like it in this picture though.

It's a shame that WW is such a good sculpt but such cheap looking colours. Easy enough repaint though.

Search for animal planet yeti. Its one of the Chap Mei sets TRU had with that branding. If you're in Canada its still available there.

the old infinite heroes scarecrow looks closer to the comics/super friends cartoon. i was never the biggest fan of that gotham knight version

Lionheart 09-28-2020 11:29 AM

Still no sign of the Mezco Batman 66 stuff...

It works for me. He's an alien and shit, so you could get away with him not looking all real-ass.

I have considered it. I have the old Mego Comic Action one though.

CCC.

Il Cattivo 10-01-2020 04:43 AM

had to google that. thought you were talking about the super powers one.

not bad. wish he wasn't squatting though.

JkrSmkrMdntTkr 10-01-2020 10:13 AM

I use the Mattel Multiverse DeVito Penguin. It's way too tall (and, I guess, big overall) for a traditional Penguin though. Really odd choice on Mattel's part, but it's a really cool figure. I should've bought Pfeiffer Catwoman and Reeves Supes when I had the chance way back when.

Il Cattivo 10-01-2020 03:30 PM

should've got them bro. now they cost an arm and a leg.

It would have been nice to have gotten a Mattel Multiverse (4 inch) Lynda Carter Wonder Woman to add to Reeves and Keaton.

Yeah, I had them all in front of me at a Kmart over a period of months, but I just wasn't into them then for some reason. I also had a chance to nab the 4" Multiverse Robin and Red Hood at a different Kmart and didn't.

Yeah...no one gave a shit about WW back then though, I guess.

Super Joe 10-02-2020 06:13 AM

Crazy new Bat character...

Super Joe 10-02-2020 06:16 AM

I didn't read this comic yet. Interestingly a new Bat T Rex exists. A crazy new character. That looks like a cool possible custom,

Good serious that also features a long haired Superman that would likely make a cool figure.

Madame Warlock 10-02-2020 01:43 PM

Going to say it: I don't like the cloth capes on the figures. I got the Batwoman figure and it's so thin and floppy it ruins the fig.

What are my options here? I feel like if I could just have a bunch of generic 1/18th capes and paint them it'd work. This is where 3D printing would come in handy, but the usual material is bad for this, so I'd have to use Resin which is expensive. Any ideas? Capes never work out well using green stuff either.

I'd need at least 3 (Batwoman, Supes, Shazam)

Autobot_Goldbug 10-02-2020 03:51 PM

I love cloth capes however Batwoman's is a total miss
I do have an extra cape from one of the Kenner '89 Batmen but her hair might get in the way
plus I do not like how Spin Master added the capes to the figures

plastic capes are just no fun

Madame Warlock 10-02-2020 04:35 PM

Yeah, it's not that cloth capes are inherently bad. Star Wars figures generally have pretty decent cloth accessories.

I would argue that on this scale plastic capes do tend to be better in terms of detail since cloth just doesn't react anything the same on this scale as it does in real life scale(but for 12 inch figs, much more similarly)

I use Star Wars plastic capes on various figures and they work great.
I just swapped a cape from...er...princess Leia, I think, onto Quasar and it's a huge improvement.

I use Duplucolor Automotive Spray paint on the capes, as it bonds to even rubberized plastic as primer.
Dries perfect too and takes paint like a champ.

You can also use scissors to neatly cut those capes and fit them before painting.

EDIT: I almost forgot- Vortious customs sells various capes.
