Kind of surprised that sold out fast.

The red and black Giant Man is 12inch- (same costume as the Ant Man wave of Legends)
The blue and yellow Goliath is 6 inch
The Pym in Lab coat is 3.75 inch
and the smaller are 1 inch and .5 inch.

That's probably why I skipped out on the mini ant man one...

Nah I think the TF won't sell out any more...popularity stopped after Metroplex and with Devastator not being that much fancier then the regular and Takara one...I only got it cause it looks cool on display. I do have the regular one.

Well, I had to go out and do some stuff after I put my order in. I got the confirmation email. Now to sell off the parts of the Ant-Man Set I don't need, so everything except Giant Man.

Well in the comics he is normal sized unless they are in battle or training. He does not just hang around in Giant mode all day.

Do you think they will sell? I mean, I might keep Goliath, but I have no need for the 4 inch figure.

Oh, most definitely... but calling him Giant Man implies that he's in his "battle state". Releasing him at 6-inch height in his costume, they could've just called him Hank Pym or something and included an unmasked head. If it weren't for the 12-inch figure in the SDCC set wearing the same costume, the Ant-Man wave would've been better off with GM as the BAF in my opinion.

I don't know. I guess I'll find out.

No because people like me needed that Giant Man for our 3.75" collection.

I kinda feel the same about the set... really just wanted Giant-man.

i wish the Hank Pym in the lab coat DIDN'T have the lab coat. lol

Just pop off the Pym head and put it on the regular Ant Man Pym that came out last year. BAM, Pym with no lab coat.

I think it is stranger that you get a helmet head to put on the lab coat body. One would think he would take off the helmet in the lab. :-)

Well, technically he is in his "battle state" because the Ant-man set is the 3.75 SDCC exclusive. The nature of Antman's alternating of sizes is just a bonus that happens to appease both collectors.

well considering the pic of him, he has the classic ant-man outfit on UNDER the coat. i would have preferred the helmet look.

Cool. I'll let you know when it comes in.

The Giant Man set finally sold out from HTS.

VashTS 07-28-2015 11:53 PM

It felt that no one really wanted the Ant-Man set...it was there for a while. Just 65 bucks for a 12" Cyclops Icon is not my cup.

Spyne98 07-29-2015 04:10 AM

The Goliath is nice too. If you have the one from the Universe set from a few years back, you can do the whole growing thing in your display. But otherwise, it wasn't the best set.

Wow, the Book of Vishanti set is easily my favourite SDCC exclusive from Marvel Legends. The sculpted details, the paint work, and the characters chosen are fantastic.

Of course, I'm most glad to be able to stand an official Magik figure alongside my other X-Men Legends, although I wish she was on a more adult base (Kitty Pryde's 25 now, so Illyana surely should be around 22?) Anyhow, they're all great figures, and even if you're not familiar with them, they are well worth picking up.

Captain Nash 07-29-2015 09:22 AM

Judging Illyana's age is difficult considering the aging/deaging/alternate version of her. Looks great btw.

I can't wait to get this (supposedly being delivered tomorrow.) I have a custom Magik I created out of Hope Summers but an offical one is even better. Since I already painted the Hope body in classic New Mutant colors I'm thinking turning her into Moonstar, using the first Valkyrie head (though I'm not sure how well I'll be able to pull off the skin tone) and just repainting the armored arm I did for Magik. Hopefully that will turn out at least passable. if I can deal with my Polaris and Dazzler being repainting Emma Frosts V1 I will find a way to make this work too.

And edit OMG totally awesome Rogue there.

That's a great idea! Although if you still wanted your Magik custom, it could just be a classic/younger Magik and the official one the Marvel Now one. I've been thinking about using an O5 Jean Grey for a Moonstar custom, as little work as possible haha. Oh and cheers! Unfortunately the Rogue's ankles are wobbly as hell, so I'm thinking of cannibalising the new Gamora for an updated Anna Marie. :D

Cheers guys! It's just a shame that my camera is sucky, eventually I'll get a decent one and give these customs/figures justice.
