Unfortunately not all stores will be getting them, I ordered the two I wanted within an hour of seeing them online just because I figured my TRU wouldn't be getting any. You can still order Joker on the eBay store, I just checked and saw Superman is up again too but this upsets me because now he has other DVD options and when I made my order I had no choice but to get that POS Man of Steel. Whatever, I'll just take the movie to Hastings or something and trade it for something else.

with the DC MUltiverse line being re scaled to 6 inch, and the fact they're doing the Final Crisis Superman (the one who was the President), DKR Superman, Batman and Son of Batman, the Live Action Arrow and Flash, I hope we get, from various Media
Classic DC (pre Crisis/ Crisis, Pre Flashpoint, based on the old DC Style Guide)
-Dr Sivana
-Rocket Red (older Armor, same type worn by Demitri and Garvil)
-G'Nort
-Weapons Master
-Dr Destiny
-Dr Occult
-The Extremists (Gorgon, Dr Diehard, Tracer, Lord Havock, Dreamslayer)
-Killer Croc
-Firefly
-General Zod
-Ursa
-Non
-Dawnstar
-Block
-Duplicate Damsel
-Invisible Kid
-Element Lad
-Captain Comet
-Heat Wave
-Dr Alchemy

-Tarpit
-The Top
-The General
-Shaggy Man

Urrggghhh, this is one of those weird little things that bothers me even though almost everybody makes this error. Christopher Reeve was Superman, no 's' at the end of his name. Unless you really mean that you want a George Reeves Superman in which case, hey whatever floats your boat.

Pravus Prime 11-07-2015 01:43 PM

I'd love a Reeves Superman, I really love that TV series.

Takes bullets like a pro, but when the guy throws the actual gun at him he ducks.

It's certainly a line that has a lot of potential to it. That said, I currently don't expect anything beyond the two confirmed waves (BvS and comics/TV) and the Walmart exclusives (TDKR). Ever since ending their DCUC line Mattel has been great at starting up new collector oriented figure lines, but not quite so good at keeping them going for more than a wave or two. I'm still kinda surprised the 3-3/4" Multiverse lasted as long as it did.

As for what they've announced so-far and what that could imply for it's theoretical future... Well I hope that the movie figures keep on coming. Though maybe with fewer Batmen per wave. Would be nice to see each movie get a wave of figures with some sort of C&C prop replica, like BvS and it's C&C grapnel gun.

That said, I do kinda wish they weren't bothering with TV-based figures. The three they've announced don't actually look bad to me, but knowing Mattel, they're not going to come close to the character selection DCC is offering.

I know most on here would want older comic book designs, but I actually really want to see some more modern stuff. Especially things like Slade's current Deatstroke outfit, Dick in his agent 37 spy gear, and Killer Croc's design from Gotham Academy, which would make for a good C&C.

If you go back and look through the coverage of this year's SDCC and NYCC, you'll find the galleries for next year's Multiverse lines, all of which have been confirmed to be 6" scaled figures. Well, the ones with C&C pieces anyways. There's also apparently a line of BvS Multiverse figures that are 12" sized in addition to the 6" line.

Well, the BvS wave will likely hit stores about a month before the movie, so sometime between February-March. The comic/TV wave could come out around the same time, but I think they'll wait another month or two after the BvS wave hits.

Toy Fair should be interesting. We should get a first look at any Suicide Squad merch that might be in the works, and with any luck Mattel will have some more non-movie Multiverse stuff to show off.

That said, I'm already anticipating DCC having the real attention grabbing reveals. Especially with them not revealing anything new at NYCC this year. I'm hoping for some big news for their Flash TV figures and their Batman Animated line.

I'm usually never a big movie version buff when it comes to figures.... i look forward to seeing this line now and how it turns out.

Me too, I'm really excited for their Knightmare Batman! I'm not sure why he's wearing his Batsuit AND a trenchcoat in the sweltering desert, but he's Batman, so he looks cool! :D

Nights in the desert can be bone-chillingly cold. I used to think along the same lines as you, but then I found out otherwise.

So, what's this about a DC multiverse Mattel line? I thought it was just going to be that one 'pilot' wave with the C&C Bat-robo-thingee...I'm not super stoked about the line outside of the Superman fig (closest I'll get to an Icon fig), but I'd like to see more coverage and press-release stuff about the matter. Seems like a backdoor into a 'Return of DCUC' wave...

Speaking of Icon, or more appropriately 'DC Icons', for some reason this much heralded line just isn't floating my boat. I can't get past the idea of them falling apart like the old DC direct figs did...and this is from a collector that displayed them only, neither playing with them nor posing them much. One topple off the display could feature a head or limb snap...I have no evidence, obviously, that the same would occur with the Icons, but I can't shake the feeling. The sculpts, while interesting, don't exactly 'pop' for me either. I've yet to see a fig from Icons outside of Firestorm that makes me excited about the line. But that's just me and my voice on this matter is most definitely in the minority...

It's definitely an interesting looking figure, and I definitely appreciate that it's actually something we'll be seeing in the movie, I can't help but feel like it's a waste of plastic. Doesn't help that the name of the figure gives away that the scene it's based on is just a nightmare.

I mean... I think I'll get it, but just for the C&C piece. The grapnel gun looks too cool not to complete, and all five of the other figures are ones that I want.

If I'm remembering the news from SDCC correctly, the Mattel reps were talking about the 6" Multiverse figures as a line rather than a one-off kind of thing.

Though this is still Mattel, so for all we know we've already seen all there will ever be to the line. We'll just have to wait and see. I just hope they don't show off a buch of figures at Toy Fair and then can the line before any of them make it to retail.

DCC has made some significant improvements this past year. I can't guarantee anything about the Icons line or any of their other future figures, but I highly doubt they'll have any major QC issues to them. The first wave of Batman Animated figures seemes to have really opened up their eyes, and they've proven they can do better, much better than they were doing.

donmeca2020 11-11-2015 08:48 PM

well hopefully they start making a line and bringing out alot of their characters with current looks to them. the icons line looks so so....

I hope you are right. While I'm not into most of the featured characters for this wave, I do like the sculpts.

I hope you are also right about this observation. My concerns were chiefly the result of both my personal experience with DC Direct and complaints I've read of the designer series. At $25-$30 a pop, I'll brook no flaws in plastic/joints/or general construction... DO YOU HEAR THAT DC? I HAVE SPOKEN. SO SHALL IT BE. lol

I dunno if that means it's a dream/nightmare since it's spelled "Knightmare" (the K is cut off in the picture) :D

I am, and I'm not alone in this observation. It's not exactly secret that DCC has made significant improvements this past year.

I know it's spelled with a k. The spelling is an obvious reference to Batman being called The Dark Knight. If it's not referring to Bruce having a nightmare, what else could "Knightmare Batman" mean?

Pravus Prime 11-12-2015 05:55 PM

So, who will come out with a 6-7 inch TV Zoom first, DCC or this new DCUC line?

kenm2474 11-12-2015 06:26 PM

Where is the pics of the DC Multiverse 6" line of figs?

So that is what Nite Owl looks like when cosplaying as Rorschach...

Kirathis 11-13-2015 12:20 AM

I am really interested in seeing what they come up with for new DC 6" figures. I am also a bit concerned about quality as well but I am trying to be positive.

That being said...can we PLEASE have a Lantern OTHER than Hal? Or at the very least, make that Hal figure look like his recent incarnation rather than yet another standard Lantern uniform Hal. I still do not understand why so many think of him as the greatest Lantern ever but that's an argument for another time...
