So where are these being found? I can't find anything in my area.
|
Only ones I've seen have been at Fred Meyer. That is a regional store though.

None at Walmarts, Target, or Toys R Us here in Delaware or the one place in Maryland I check unless someone plucked all of them which I don't see happening.
|
So far I've only found them at a local grocery store.
|
Haven't seen 3.75" MI at retail yet.
Of course, as I mentioned previously the stores around me are still holding on to single-pack MU figures with nary a clearance sale in sight (including TRU). The only exception to this is Walmart, who currently do not have any space allocated for MU or MI (let alone any stock of them. |
i really wish amazon did preorders more on figures and not just trade paperbacks.
|
If no stores sell the line.... it won't survive for long. What they do make they do sell... I just wish they were more readily available. Kids would eat these figures up if given the chance!!! Perfect size to fit in their pockets even. If they build it...we will come!!! Make it available for us to buy!!
Still early in the life of the line yet though. Time will tell. It seems Hasbro is finally getting it right, would be a shame if the retail giants abandoned it now!!! |
I didn't start collecting the MU line until around 2009, I was at a TRU and they had a BOGO sale and when I saw Moon Knight was a figure my collection began, I digress. Did anyone here actually have an interest in the MU figures when they were first announced, or was it not until after they released that you took notice? Just curious.

I've been following MU since Hasbro put out its first press release about it in 2008, and bought the first wave as soon as I found them at retail.
It was one of the first stories this site began covering after we launched, as well. You might still be able to find some of the old news thread from back then and read our initial thoughts on the line. |

I noticed but was only going for the X-Force team, then I moved back to my home town and started noticing how the Cable wave was pretty awesome and bam just started to get them all the ones that I like.
|
I preordered the first case and enjoyed little competition for figures for the first four waves or so...then I noticed at the start of series two, figs disappeared a lot quicker, if they hit retail at all. By the time the archangel wave hit, new figures were hard to come by and variants were impossible. Preordering has been the way to go ever since.

I got in at Christmas 2012.... after the Avengers Assemble film came out on DVD. My son was nuts for it... got a Helicarrier with vouchers from Tesco so it was free, decided he needed some figures to go on it.
Before that I was NEVER into comics or toys. Not as an adult anyway. I liked comics but they were not anywhere in my small town where I grew up. Loved toys growing up.... when I was 12 our house burned. Everything gone, so I didn't have my childhood toys. Then I had my wonderful son. I like him getting cool toys and not the crap ones other kids have!!! He asked me a million times who is this who is that. I went on Wikipedia 20 times a day searching Avengers. Then he wanted a Loki and he was expensive so I thought... let's make one. Found vortious store, talked to him, found mucollectorsclub then found tour's via jimmyo. Been hooked ever since. Now we.have.a.nice collection and it drives his mum nuts!!! She thinks.you guys are.cool now after.we.won the Vision figure from raf3233 though... have not had them be threatened to be burnt since!!!! Perhaps she is coming around!!!! |

I was in the air force in 2009, I'd been out of collecting for a wile (about 5 years wile I was deployed) I started getting some 25th anniversary joes to decorate my office, one night I got a wild hair up my butt and made a super crappy custom 3.75" wolverine out of a red ninja, the next day (now beginning to feel the toy love flow back) I went to the BX on Minot AFB to see if they had any joe stuff... boom the whole first wave of MU, I bought them all, renewed my scrip to Toyfare magazine, and I was back on the plastic crack. It's funny to think that first hideous punisher was the first figure in the line that sold me... were we ever that young?
|
Sold from day one. Really liked the idea of mixing Captain America with my joes ... still haven't done it.
|
I was already collecting the 25th anniversary joes. I passed the MU figures in the store and then after sleeping on it I said why not. It was something I always wanted as a child.
|
This was the first set I cared about.
Saw how big and detailed Rulk was and fell in love. http://imageshack.com/a/img835/8072/6yij.jpg |
