From a production standpoint, you have to develop some sort of character to your voice. If you don't, people will tire quickly and go somewhere else. In this digital age, the average attention span is getting shorter by the day. I've watched many Shartimusprime videos. Yes, he can be a grating at times. However, many little kids watch him and he could be playing to his audience a bit.
I've also watched 'other' reviewers and wondered if they know anything about the voice over profession. Droning on in a way that makes it seem like even they themselves aren't interested, which translates immediately to the viewer in both conscious and unconscious ways. Shartimusprime seems to get this, at least in some small measure. At the end of the day, whether you think he's annoying or entertaining, we remember who he is and we often watch his videos to completion. |
Shartimusprime is almost the only figure reviewer that I will watch. I know that his videos will be good quality(both literally and figuratively) and informative.
I don't really think he has a YouTube persona. He's just being himself (maybe slightly exaggerated for entertainment purposes). I say hella sick and dope from time to time myself. |
@Raf
I think you might be missing this Nightwing. He is a variant of the Arkham City Nightwing that is an a 4 pack. http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3giqogmx.jpg |

3233rafael ... There is also the Knighfall era Nightwing figure from DC Direct. (I will be selling mine once I find him in storage). Not sure if you were looking at old 90's era or just more modern.
