I believe that's a Bandai America line. That wouldn't effect Shodo, which is a Bandai Japan line. Different markets.


Anyways, I think I'm out on the Shodo Pokemon. Not only are they being unclear which Armored Mewtwo we're getting (original or remake), but I just noticed P-Bandai lists the height of Mewtwo as 70mm. That's taller than 66 Action Mega Man and shorter than Shodo Dragon Ball. I've lost almost all interest. Maybe in hand pictures/videos will change my mind.

You appear to be right on the DB figure, which I find shocking. Not only were the hip joints very similar to the Japanese SAGA line, but the overall engineering and sculpting is superior to Bandai America's Dragon Stars line in regards to accurately depicting the style.

As for the Shodo Pokemon, that's certainly concerning as i was looking forward to that as well. I still might go for it, but for some advice I would look as the BBTS discounted Variable action Mewtwo as a substitute that is closer to scale.

Mewtwo is 6' 7", or 79 inches. At 1:18 scale conversion, that about 4.4 inches or roughly 11.2 cm.

The Variable Action Mewtwo is listed at about 4.5 inches or 11.5, which turns out to be close enough for a figure intentionally made to look proportionately aesthetic to a 1:12 display as oppose to source material.

The only downside is that some of the decisions in paint and engineering makes it less than a down-scaled d-arts.

So remember that teaser image from Shodo a few weeks ago? The first teaser image is a new line, Shodo-O. The "O" stands for "Outsider" and will be a line of rivals, strong opponents, etc. Basically anything not present in Shodo-X.

Also Shodo-X4 had a questionnaire on which non-main Riders and enemies are people's favorites as data to fill in the Outsiders line. Sadly I can't read most of the names, but it pleases me greatly to see that long bar next to G3-X's name.

For like 10 bucks they're just okay. The hands won't really hold the weapons. The shoulders are incredibly weak, as are the legs. The elbows and knees use an almost revoltech joint so those are strong and okay... But it doesn't help if nothing else is, lol. The armor doesn't like staying on so you might wanna glue it. If you buy directly from them in HK the customer service is amazing. I had one come broken. They asked for a photo of the cracked joint and sent a new figure

SHODO Pokémon came in. DEFINITELY not in scale with the rest of SHODO, but not only that, not in scale with each other. Mewtwo is actually smaller than Charizard despite canonically being a full foot taller. And Mew is like 3/4 the size of Mewtwo.

Still very nice figures, well articulated, although that means a lot of assembly. Despite not being the size I want, I might buy further waves depending on what's in them.

Does anybody know of any Pokémon, even individually, which scale to 1:18?

The new Dragon ball evolve 5 inch scale Movie Broly scales perfectly with the shodo figures (imho). Its a hair taller than the hybrid Broly figure.
