he came finally via USPS today. im glad it came, i even called hasbro and asked where the hell is the item i ordered 2 weeks ago already? shockingly the paint looks pretty good on this. the mini ones in the antman box set look crappy and cheap looking.

Wasn't that supposed to come with the Giant Man SDCC set?

judging by my comparison no.... diffrent looking. this looks like the movie version the one in the giant man set looks different. it's also smaller then the ones in that set as well.

Oh, I thought the pictures Hasbro posted when they revealed their SDCC stuff was that the Giant Man and Pym Matchbox mini figure were all one package.

Just a quick head swap and arm change. Going to remove Ravenger flame logo, paint the neck, sculpt a little bit above the elbow so it looks like a rolled up sleeve.

I'm totally doing this!

kylactus 08-08-2015 07:40 PM

I was starting to worry also, I got a confirmation from HTS, but they still haven't debited my account. and I haven't gotten any packages.

Ummm, excuse me but that isn't a Ravager logo it's Star-Lord's emblem and it dates back to his original look before there was a team guarding the galaxy.

ukmu 08-08-2015 08:52 PM

The legs are bit trickier if you do it. It involves a bit of cutting. It isn't too difficult just once you commit there is no going back.

Sorry En Sabah, didn't know that. Never read a single page of their comic. In the film though, they all have that symbol on their "Ravenger garb" blazoned upon their breast. All of them except Star Lord, although it might be on his arm, can't recall.
So I suppose we are both right or both half wrong. Either way, the fire thing in gold is coming off! ;)

ukmu 08-08-2015 08:57 PM

Glad your mini came. Sucks waiting everyday with the excitement of " did it come!!?!!" To be quickly followed by the disappointing "no it didn't!"

Looks cool, I dig how the packaging matches the 3.75" version. (Not an exact match) Very cleaver of them to do that. I have never seen a MOC collection of the small to big stack. Seen the loose stack countless times, never the carded version though.

Ok, that's me done. Just thought I'd share my Groot. Now, back to my little 3.75" hole. It was fun visiting, next time I'll bring cake! ;)

$199, $500, and $750 respectively. With 7, 23, 17 watchers each at the point of my posting this message. What I find most troubling about the white Phoenix (other than it being nearly $1000) is that whomever is listing it has pics of the fig packaged. In my opinion, trying to create an illusion that this is in some way authentic product is pretty smarmy (a gross understatement on my part, but the seller very well might be within our own ranks - an attempt at politeness). Whomever listed this does go on to detail that the head is a recast. However, the title of the listing does not read as honestly: "Marvel Legends Unreleased White phoenix figure Jean Grey BAF SDCC." An important notation, because the other two listings offer the descriptor "recast" or "prototype" within the title, whereas the white Phoenix fig does not. Welcome to the seedy end-result of the Chinese headless fig market. That didn't take very long...Personally, I find this behavior far more disturbing than that of scalpers and I hope Hasbro finds a way to release all of these figures. The sooner the better to stop this new brand of exploitation of the collecting community.

On a lighter note, and maintaining the theme of "released" figs...It took a while, but I'm happy to have finally completed this team of ne'er-do-wells...despite their scale issues...

Not too long ago he was asking $5000 on the entire lot lol. Whoever buys the figures at these prices will regret it. These characters will probably be released someday (wishful thinking? :o) or if not, be updated on the newer female molds

The weird thing is that if you look at the articulation breakdown image of the Icons, it shows a Thigh Swivel. One of the designers said that with the articulation they've got, their "workaround" of the thigh swivel means you won't miss it.

I have no idea what that means (some people think it may be like the old Hasbro elbows with the swivel/hinge joints), but it may not be as bad as we fear.

God I really hope DC does not **** up their Icons line. That Flash looks amazing and I love that he comes with multiple hands.

Contact Hasbro CS. A lot of people had holds/delays until they called to provide information. It'll definitely get your order rolling

There are now some blank recasts for 200 dollars...just plain ridiculous. I don't care if it's unreleased, no way no how a normal person would pay 200 dollars for blank, hairless recast. He'd make a killing if he sold them for like 10 or 15 dollar each and made several of them, but looks he's greedy hoping to make a lot on peoples fear. Those prices are ridiculous.

Yeah, definitely give them a call. When I called to check on mine last week the CS lady told me they were swamped with the SDCC orders and trying to fulfill them as fast as they can. She was able to tell me where they were at in the fulfillment process. Just called up and asked nicely about it and she was really helpful. I have a feeling they are getting a lot of rude callers though from how she sounded before she realized I was not going to yell at her.

could you post a pic of that rhino in the middle next to a 3 3/4 figure? been meaning to replace my MU one. I hate how small he is. that one looks like he'd be perfect.

also need to replace my juggy but I think the ML one might be too big. gah! I'd really kill for hasbro to remake their larger MU characters and actually make them, you know, large.

Yes, I have done the first 2 boxes. The big selling point is the exclusive POP from Funko in each box. They are only made for this and not sold elsewhere. Box 1 was the Movie Hulkbuster, Box 2 was Unmasked movie Ant Man w/ miniature Ant man pop included. SO far the POP has pretty much matched the picture they advertise on the box artwork. So for the box this month people are guessing the POP will be Female Thor (rumors have also been heard there may be 2 exclusive Pops this month) The theme this month is Secret Wars. So far each box has included a EXCLUSIVE POP, Shirt, Miniature of some sort, an exclusive cover to a comic, and a couple lapel pins.

Sorry for asking this here, since this is a Legends thread, but I was wondering, does Funko reveal the contents of the box before the pre-order ends?
I'm tempted to sign up for the Secret Wars box, in anticipation that it could be filled with some great Doctor Doom merch, but I'd hate to order it and get stuck with a POP, and various other merch, of other important characters in Secret Wars that I don't really care about; characters like Thor, Dr. Strange, or Thanos.

NO. you will not know before they start shipping and someone posts pics or does a video review. That is part of the surprise. But as I stated , after the first 2 boxes you should have an idea what to expect. I mean more than likely you could sell off the pop and other stuff. Value wise you get the comic (5$), POP (10$), mini (10$), Shirt (15$), Pins (10$).

You could always wait and look for one on the secondary market if it is something you like, but could cost you more than the box in the first place.
