Anyone else get the Spider-Man wave and notice that Ghost Riders joints are a little loose? The elbow joins on my are wicked loose. They hold a pose, but it doesn't take much to move them. I can help but wonder if this is an isolated incident or a widespread issue.

*Also, if anyone has a spare BAF part from him or Venom, please let me know. I want to build 2 Rhinos but I don't want to buy 2 Ghost Riders and 2 Superior Venom figures.

Are they available in stores now ? I have yet to find them in the wild.

That is a long time but on the other hand, if you're getting a figure done that's not been made at all, it's better than nothing.

unrelated, I got my two DC figures today. Nothing like what i was hoping. The heads don't even pop off (which is what I was hoping to find.) So much for repurposing Black Adam as a Count Nefaria or Graviton. But i may have another idea for him....Pandora the other figure....I dunno know. Glad I didn't spend too much on these, and if I hadn't tried I wouldn't know at all.

Which Black Adam figure? New 52 DCC? As far as I've come across, all the heads on the DCC figures can come off... I've done several head swaps with them for customs. They usually use a barbell neck joint that you can boil and pop out of the body, then use pliers to pull the other end out of the head (after you boil it a bit).

The right arm on my ghost rider is really loose and the jaw was not pegged on one side. I had to force the peg in myself. My spider man has some sort of glue smeared on the chest. Misty knights legs are crap and Kraven's legs are cheap and rubbery feeling. They are both hard to stand. The funny thing is superior venom is the figure I got with the least issues. Lol!

It was a DC Collectibles Comics Super Villains Black Adam. I had the idea that if I could easily pop the head off, like with the newer ML, I could use a Dr. Strange or Kraven head for one of the two figures I want to make, once I find duplicates of them in the wild. I may try your method though, but I know I'm also lazy. :D If I don't do anything but repaint it, I can see it being turned into a semi-decent Vulcan, if nothing else. Though the head would be wrong I don't want the figure to go to complete waste.

I got mine from Toys R Us, but my friend found some in the wild this past weekend.

My Venom is solid too. I hate the rubbery legs on Kraven, but the figure looks so good otherwise!

Yeah he was real pricey but I am extremely proud of him the small details are outstanding

WowLoosecollector are fairly pricey in terms of custom figures, but as you can see the quality speaks for itself. I have a couple of Loose customs myself, and they are sensational. If you want a superb standard of figure and are willing to wait around 6-8 months for it, these are your guys.

Perfection cannot be rushed

Probably for the best. He must weigh a tonne too, those Select Hulks by themselves could crush a skull, add on all that leather and metal and you've got yourself a weapon capable of taking out an adult bull elephant.

DCC figures frequently have really tight joints because they are specifically made as collectibles (this also causes fear of them breaking), Marvel Legends have looser joints because they are made with play in mind.

Yeah that's the worst part unfortunately. The team tackle multiple commissions/Ebay customs/projects at once, so it takes a good while. I ordered one back in January and it's still in the WIP process, but as kenm said it takes time to create art of this level. Especially art which surpasses the official figures by a bare mile.

Good to know. Lesson learned, without too much expense. Thanks for all the tips on these everyone who offered over the last few days. I'll definitely be re-reading and possibly putting to practice to see what I can do.

Really I'm kind of looking forward to it. Given our Legends line up for the year may have run out, I can focus on my customs I'm planning to do: Polaris, Enchantress, Graviton, Count Nefaria and Moonstar - of course some I have to get the parts for but some I'm ready to just sit down and carefully paint.

kenm2474 08-11-2015 12:47 PM

Almost all of my customs. I have 4 commissions (BAF Hulkbuster Repaint, Damian Wayne Batman, Thunderstrike, Zero Year Batman). Not Pictured ML Crossbones with all molded in accessories made useable and Ultimate Captain America with all molded in accessories made useable and Talia Al Ghul.

They've hit Target as well. Still waiting on my cases

i haven't been to a target in awhile, maybe i'll hit one up soon. im still in need of a Spider-woman and for some reason they seem to be the only store that still has the thanos wave floating around or at least Spider-woman once a blue moon.

My loca TRU is just always disappointing..... whenever i go i almost always walk out empty handed.

ultraman zoffy 08-11-2015 06:37 PM

Both SDCC sets, CW Devastator, and the Rhino wave have shown up at my house, but since I'm in the process of selling it and shopping for a new house, I can't open any of them up... they're going directly into a storage facility with the rest of my things, which I probably won't see for another 2-3 months until after I've moved into the new spot. Buying a new house is cool and all, but not being able to enjoy all the new arrivals SUCKS. Considering just taking everything to my office and displaying them at work since I have locking cabinets... Lol.

These two are from chinabay. Making a custom Chameleon and got a head that needs paint for Crossbones. They came in about 6 days and they have really good tight joints.

You're getting 4 figures, one of them BAF size, for just above retail each, and in a fancy book.

1. I wanted Dormmamu. He was the main reason I bought it.
2. I knew that if I didn't buy it while it was on HTS and decided I wanted it later, it would be too late.
3. I didn't know about Hela having a cloth cape because I never paid attention to anything in the set beyond Dormmamu.

As for Strange, he was a stinker. I knew that before going on. Don't get me wrong, I am glad I bought the set, but it doesn't mean I wished it had been closer to $90 than $118 (after tax and shipping).

Yeah, but my biggest issue is how loose his ab crunch is. He keeps shaking whenever I touch him.

My other issue is what is going on with the eyes in this wave. Kraven, Misty Knight, and Ghost Rider all have left eyes that are not centered properly. Did their paint machine go awry and they not bother to fix it?

The paint on mine seems ok. The ab crunch on Ghost Rider is good on mine too.

I'm hoping I can find one in stores so I can exchange him for a new one.

As for the paint, look at the pink dot inside his eye sockets that act as his eyes. Are they both centered?

Looks pretty dead on to me.

Does anyone have the codes at Target or TRU for the Hulkbuster wave?
