I feel like we would complain that Hasbro would be cheating by just head-swapping a team around. I also prefer the team not be wearing matching uniforms, it comes off a tad boring. That's my personal preference, I'm sure quite a bit of fans would like this roster made in this scale. Though we do have a Wolverine in this costume (two if you count the hideous first attempt as different).

Whoa! I have that 90's set (mostly) but I bought a set that had Stryfe instead of Psylocke. Always thought it was odd. Is that Psylocke for real or a custom? Not to derail the thread....

kylactus 05-15-2014 01:19 PM

I don't recognize that psylocke, but Gambit looks like he needs to chill on the roids! he gives ragin' Cajun a new meaning.

Captain Nash 05-15-2014 01:32 PM

I actually have a funny story about that set. At some point Jubilee's forearm came off. That it itself isn't funny but what makes it funny is that when I was taking the MU Jubilee out of the package, her forearm broke off. Destined to be I guess?

En Sabah Nerd 05-15-2014 01:40 PM

I have no idea if that's a custom or not, I just used this picture as reference.

kylactus 05-15-2014 01:50 PM

If they ever got around to making a Banshee, witch costume would you want? original green/yellow, X-school, AOA?

En Sabah Nerd 05-15-2014 01:58 PM

I like his horseman of death costume
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/Images/Cha...nsheeDeath.jpg
From Uncanny Avengers, where The Apocalypse Twins have made Sentry, Banshee, Daken, and Grim Reaper the horseman of death.

trebleshot 05-15-2014 02:10 PM

Which Horseman role did Sean get? Hard to tell from his costume, but I'm going to guess it wasn't Death.

Maybe she was just preparing you for her BAF incarnation? ;)

En Sabah Nerd 05-15-2014 02:21 PM

It's long to go full so I'll sum it up: Apocalypse has two bastards (Uriel and Eimin) who spawn from Archangel, they return from far-future (where Kang has raised them as his own) seeking vengeance on their adoptive father. They break the rules of the Celestials and choose 4 Horseman of Death, instead of the 4 Horseman of Apocalypse. Being resurrected from the dead all 4 horseman are insane and each is now a suitable host body for Apocalypse. So all 4 are Death.

kylactus 05-15-2014 02:29 PM

Nice choice!

Original green/yellow for me. I"m using a DC figure of Boomerang for Banshee (I think Boomerang his name, I'm not a huge DCU follower) and I'm actually pretty happy with just using it without any alterations as a Banshee, kind of like a Generation X version. Not that I wouldn't buy a figure of Banshee if they put him out.

Well I'd have to have the set for me to make a BAF Jubilee figure. If the wave had been the originally planned Thunderbolts I'd have done it but not now....

Great story! Reading it myself. Will be interesting how it actually ends after wards. Supposedly Scarlet Witch and Rogue are dead...

kylactus 05-15-2014 02:38 PM

that would make a great set! the new horsemen (most could be repaints) with a BAF 6" Apocalypse.

Actually Apocalypse isn't in the story except in flashbacks. I liked the story at first but it's kind of lost track. At any rate, yeah I totally agree they would be great characters for a set. With a technovirus variant for Banshee (from Necrosha lol). WITH Selene. Because well....really need a Selene in this line. Like that's going to happen with her taste in clothing.

But I digress...

This new precedent by Marvel that the death horseman can become a new Apocalypse has been interesting, but I wish they'd cover the plot holes created by it. (Plot hole that's been around since it was discovered about Archangel.)

This literally means every character that's been a death horseman has the potential to become Apocalypse and we've only seen it done on Archangel. Wouldn't Gambit or Wolverine also be afflicted with that?

Also heck yes to a 5 pack with the 4 new horsemen death and a Selene!

kylactus 05-15-2014 02:51 PM

wasn't Apocalypse alive during there stints as Death? meaning that Death doesn't take over until apocalypse dies. Am I right?

Not supposedly, just dead. Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, Rogue, and Captain America, all dead. You can already tell that part of the solution to stopping the twins will be Kang time traveling to save these characters, because no one stays dead forever!

Yes, Remender has set a part of Apocalypse's mythos that whenever Apocalypse dies, his spirit/soul/mind/entity consumes and inhabits the horseman of death making them his new host body.

En Sabah Nerd 05-15-2014 03:07 PM

Oh yeah, and Earth got annihilated by Exitar. So somehow Kang + time travel = solution.

that's gonna' be one hell of a BAF....

Yup. But it's also any one that was once a horseman of death.

Yup. Which is why it's odd Gambit didn't become one next after they 'cured' Warren. Hence why I call it a plot hole.

Well we know that's already been retconned because of Original Sin making that a paradox because of you know who being present and 'watching' it. xD

skier352 05-15-2014 03:26 PM

Well, I got the Nightcrawler-Storm 2-pack, and officially have retired from the collecting game. Happy hunting!

To be in scale Exitar would need to be almost as tall as a 5 story building. I do want a really big Celestial figure though, maybe Arishem.

you'll be back, they always come back....

and if that's Earth blowing apart around Exitar, scale for MI would be more than 5 stories, I'm thinking about the size of Australia...

En Sabah Nerd 05-15-2014 04:27 PM

We should petition the nation of Australia to sacrifice itself so we can have an in scale Exitar, mwah hah hah. An in scale Celestial other than Exitar would be around 111 feet tall, so even that is more than 5 stories. I think we'd all forgive Hasbro if a Celestial toy was only 18" tall.
