I've been looking for a well articulated mannequin to make a 6' Mastermold, (I'm thinking his 90's cartoon look). I think the same concept would be perfect for a celestial.

That sounds expensive and like you need a ton of room to spare. Basically: do you permanently have room for a spare person which will now be filled?

kylactus 05-15-2014 04:39 PM

look at my profile...I could cram a guy in one of my corners.

I feel like we would complain that Hasbro would be cheating by just head-swapping a team around. I also prefer the team not be wearing matching uniforms, it comes off a tad boring. That's my personal preference, I'm sure quite a bit of fans would like this roster made in this scale. Though we do have a Wolverine in this costume (two if you count the hideous first attempt as different).

There would be no complaint from me if they made Banshee, Forge, and then altered it a bit to give us the New Mutants.

This literally means every character that's been a death horseman has the potential to become Apocalypse and we've only seen it done on Archangel. Wouldn't Gambit or Wolverine also be afflicted with that?

Also heck yes to a 5 pack with the 4 new horsemen death and a Selene!

Didn't Archangel need a "death seed". They just happened to have one in storage or something. He didn't transform just because he was Death at one point.

En Sabah Nerd 05-15-2014 08:20 PM

I usually don't have a problem with any specific character getting a figure. Puck is my one exception, "Hey guys great idea let's make a half sized hairy Canadian dude and sell it at full price". That was probably the pitch, and Hasbro was probably like "Todd that's a great idea". That figure actually peg-warmed one of my stores. I think though that if Walrus got a figure, I'd probably throw it on the ground. A fat guy wearing a brown furry suit with a rainbow "W" on his chest, and tusks. I'm gonna repeat that it's so bad, a fat guy with a furry brown suit, rainbow "W", and tusks.

I appreciate street thugs like Spot, Looter, Grizzly, Constrictor, etc. but this guy is, at best, SO bad that he's funny (like Syfy original movies). Please never let Walrus see the light of a production factory.

Kernel 05-15-2014 08:27 PM

^ part of what has made this line fun was the more obscure characters... But yeah I would probably pass on a Walrus... dr. Bong on the other hand...

En Sabah Nerd 05-15-2014 08:40 PM

I think obscure characters are awesome. Darkhawk is one of my favorite characters and he got his first toy ever, but Walrus, just ugh. Dr Bong is intentionally comedic and silly, actually I'd probably get Dr Bong.

Foreddyn 05-15-2014 09:17 PM

I would welcome obscure characters as well. I'm actually hoping for differently molded figures for different body types. Mostly for kids/teens and mid-athletic cases. I guess I could get Star Wars bodies but the articulation stops me.

I bought multiples of 30" Superman to convert to Galactus, Anti-monitor and Ultraman. Since he was the cheapest, tallest and most available toy at that time. But then got tired/disinterested and gave them away. I honestly didn't know how to articulate the guy so he can interact with my 4" figures. At least he could hold Siver Surfer on his hand with a little balancing.

And one time, I wanted to try copying the Superman body plus Master Mold head custom I saw a while back.

Does anyone think it is strange there has been no MI at target in a month and none at all at TRU or Walmart. Has anyone seen MI at target in the last month. It showed up at some locations then nothing.

Didn't Archangel need a "death seed". They just happened to have one in storage or something. He didn't transform just because he was Death at one point.

That's how he was turned into Archangel to begin with allegedly with the retcon. It started over in X-Force v3 when Rahne ripped his feather wings out and the Archangel ones/apocalypse virus grew his archangel ones back.

Then there was the the interaction with Apocalypse himself in the future during the Messiah War stuff. (Assuming the Apoc virus healed apocalypse enough for him to take his new body at the end of that story.)

Then he procured a death seed to turn Psylocke into a new Death Horseman. (Uncanny X-Force.)

So in theory because of the retcon, all Horsemen Death's had the death seed used on them. Only Gambit has displayed the re-occurring death persona though similar to how Archangel did, but that story line has seemingly been dropped as it doesn't show up anymore. Gambit has been able to keep his under control at times too, whereas Warren during X-Force v3 and Uncanny X-Force was losing control more and more.

On that note of new figures they should make...
I really want to see the All-New Ghost Rider get a figure. The design is pretty sweet being a combination of Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider 2099. The comic is quickly growing on me. It's a great Marvel spin on that old Charlie Sheen movie "The Wraith."

use one of those 30" "articulated" star wars dolls they sell at TRU. I was contemplating for the longest time to use the big darth vader and make it into a celestial.

ukmu 05-16-2014 05:54 AM

I saw some after a month in toys r us. I can only speculate that the legends are being revised, the boxes have to stop to do the case revisions.

Probably early June we'll see them again.

Yeah kind of crazy, I was in LA last weekend and saw the peg warming MI's there, glad I have the ones already that I want. HTS may be the go with these guys...I think they still have all but Wasp.

samsson37 05-16-2014 09:06 AM

Yeah I agree with all of you, I just said screw it and got the 6pack for wave 3 from dorkside. I missed the ebays on whirlwind, so if any of you guys come across a second one please grab him for me .. :-)

Captain Nash 05-16-2014 10:10 AM

I've seen the MI line at Target (except the Wasp figure of course) at least twice maybe more, but i have yet to see them at Walmart. I wonder if Walmart is even planning to carry them at all? Has anyone seen them there?

Forget Walmart, what about TRU, surprised they haven't been stocking them.

I'm ready!

ukmu 05-16-2014 02:33 PM

Going camping for the weekend..... been thinking about a custom. Giganto.... we got a 12" Sleletor from an outdoor sale for like 50 pence, and I want to fully sculpt his claws both hands and feet, warts all over, and that big ugly but simple head. A shop down the road has a load of Hobbit figures in for 1.99 EACH. Grabbed 8 Golum figures and now want to make the Moliods and a Giganto. Should look cool, still need a Mole Man from the old ML line though. They are abundant and super cheap though. I guess for less than 30.00 we could have Mole Man, Giganto, and 10 Moliods.... nice little army. Plus we have a few Dr. Who figures and Ben10 guys that would look GREAT as sub-terra creatures to complete the look!!! Stoked!!!!!!#

Have a great weekend arkers!!!!

Yeah some of the blogs based out of Singapore have the second wave in hand. This means we should see them here in the states in a few weeks fingers crossed.
