just under a year ago.... I've about 75-90 right now and it's been hard... but I'm totally addicted to them!

I read blogs of people seeing series 2 figures at retail in 2012.... I wish! I have to go to local collectible shops and toy stores, as they have the oldest items at the best prices, I don't bother with the over priced LCS

also sad how I never got a chance to go around picking up comic packs and exclusives at retail and such... MI needs some variety

nonetheless, my main holes are all the human torches from series 1, light costume spider-man, professor x, dr doom and the secret wars packs...

I've blade, MJ, hobgoblin, thing, vision, classic havok, luke cage and the rest of the rare crew

my only toy line thus far

They're reporting the sdcc set may be nebula, starfox and drumroll... Thanos. How lame. I wanted Gamora ;(((((

If someone really wants Starfox I would be willing to split the cost.....as I'd really like Nebula. Sorry to fans of the character but Starfox IMO wins as lamest Avenger ever. Just my opinion though. But point being I have no interest in owning a figure of him...

Primacron 05-17-2014 10:57 AM

I am looking to get of the packaging and other bits like Fury files that came with my Marvel 3.75" stuff, if you've bought a figure loose and are interested, let me know through a PM. Except postage, it will be free.

I got in a little over a yr ago...so i was still able to get some stuff at retail for decent prices. but got most of the rare birds, and the only figs i really dont have are the characters i don't know much about e.g. capt britain, union jack...but otherwise i think i have most...and im opting for the giant man baf over the Blue/ Red goliath we got from the Gigantic Battles...

man i really want a foom...if anyone's will to sell one for a little under ebay haha I'll take it

En Sabah Nerd 05-17-2014 12:05 PM

I wouldn't say Starfox is the lamest, he's just a very strong contender for lamest.
Totally off topic: I went to the Witte museum yesterday (San Anronio museum in Texas) and saw its new alien and androids section. Pretty cool look at human forays into space, and how science fiction has changed actual technology. They had an Iron Man suit from Iron Man 2 (probably not the actual piece used in film, but a very well done official replica) If you live in Texas and can make the trip it's a neat section, but it ends May 27. It is $10 for an adult so factor that.

klinton 05-17-2014 12:35 PM

I had an amazing TRU run today! :D

I finally found Janet, after searching for the past month and always missing out.

And, despite having no other figures from the last wave of Marvel Universe, I found Black Knight. He was just sitting alone, placed on a peg of Spider-Man figures. :D

Camera still doesn't like my SHIELD/movie shelf(lighting issues).

But here's an update of it with Falcon and Winter Soldier(if you can see him behind Fury) now. Along with some new paper craft print outs to spruce it up better.

And while at it, since I finally got Aurora, I went ahead and got a pic of her with Guardian on my normal Marvel 616 shelf.

Lionheart 05-17-2014 04:45 PM

Whoah! What's with the discolouration on Guardian's leg / head? Is that normal?

Ninjinister 05-17-2014 05:56 PM

I want those Kamen Riders D:

bmorr 05-18-2014 04:32 AM

so, is anyone bothered by the new 15 dollars price tag that the 4" dc figures are currently getting?

It's like Hasbro and Mattel are competing for who can raise their prices faster :(

$15 dollars is around what a deluxe Transformer costs now, that's what I payed for my legends Carnage. I don't think I can justify $15 for a 4" figure. Really hoping that this is just some temporary price flop that'll resolve. So yes, I'm bothered (and I don't even collect DC).

ukmu 05-18-2014 09:20 AM

Well, they have been a tenner for a long time.... nothing lasts forever.

Certain white plastic types age horribly because they absorb pollutants in the air and florescent lighting faster. That's why his body shines white, but his head and leg are tinted yellow slightly(the grays are part of the original paint job Hasbro released on him). The softer plastic of the limbs are that plastic type that age horribly. His figure and the future foundation figures show it considerably. None of the other figures that have white plastic have aged quite like those 4 have(even FF spidey hasn't aged yellow like that). Guardian has it the worst though. Probably because he's been in my collection the longest out of them. Though amazing friends Iceman has been on my shelf longer than all of them and he hasn't yellowed at all. Neither has Moon Knight.(Which is a shame, because I'm looking for a reason to customize him into a better Moon Knight!)

I love my motion revive series Kamen Riders. I wish they still made them to cover the rest of the characters up to at least before Gaim. (I want Faiz, Psyga, Kaixa, and Delta in this scale and detail! Plus the rest of Blade like a non battle damaged Garren, Chalice, and Leangle in this scale! Besides of course OOO's Sahgozo plus default, W's default and fang joker, and then Wizard +forms! They can skip Agito. Kuuga wouldn't be hard to round out from the parts they already have on his two figures released either. Those parts can be mixed and matched to make his other forms!) I am glad they did "the First" and "the Next" movie riders at least. Since they don't blend with the normal MRS KR figures style, I keep them on my movie shelve in front of the Microman movie realized series live action Casshern. Makes for a more diverse movie shelf too. SHIELD/Avengers/GI Joe, then Kamen Rider 01, 02, and v3, Casshern, then DC movies (missed Hal Jordan GL by accident), then the Villians. Which for me right now is only Avengers Loki, a custom Illyria, and Kurse. I skipped Destroyer by accident.

Went and picked up some flat black paint today finally. So now I was able to doctor up the two Robocops' hands. Also trying out an experiment with the clearanced out Nick Fury figure I went back and picked up the today to see how he looks on the Commander Rogers movie styled body to add a little more variation to the molds on my 616 shelf. So far not digging the slight size difference though. May have been a better idea to try and get the multi-pack fury from the IM2 line for that. It's scaled better as a GI Joe head. Avengers Fury's head is at that between point of just slight too small for the MU Commander Rogers buck, but slightly too big for the new movie Rogers costume.

*Edit*
Used my Doctor Who sonic screwdriver flashlight to get some light in there for the auto focus to kick in, and it worked! I get to actually say I sonic'ed my camera to make it take pics in focus now. xD

Here are the results of the SHIELD shelf, and also took a pic of the quick head swap for the "Agent Fury" in Secret Avengers. The Robocops look 100 times better now with both hands black too.

That bike is a repainted Animated Prowl. Since I had Samurai Prowl for my collection, I took the original and trimmed up the head, painted it white, and then trimmed up a SHIELD insignia to fit inside. Now it makes for great SHIELD bike +ninja robo support.

Paper craft coke machine behind the bad guys. When I was setting up the new backdrops, I saw one and couldn't resist adding it too.
http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1400445189
A little cross movie universes.

http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1400445189
My movie Avengers. That empty space is where Antman, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver will go. Yup, I keep the Hugh Jackman Logan figure on my Movie shelf too, but he has no hands anymore since all of those went to various customs. That's why I need a new one! Hopefully when Hasbro gets to doing X-Men movie line figures, I can fit them somewhere on this shelf too.

http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1400445189
This pic came out better than I expected in composition with War Machine between Fury and Falcon. Pure fluke cause I was taking these pics blind more or less. I like how it turned out though.

http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1400445189
And lastly, a bad angle on the new Fury custom I just did standing next to Ross' Thunderbolts. (I hope they do a Red skulled Punisher and Elektra two pack!) Ghost Rider's bike is Oil Slick repainted with some Human Torch flame accessories clipped on.

The cigarette boxes will eventually be painted up to be platforms. They're only temporary until I can find better. (Smoker household sadly, so those are easy to come by for cardboard pieces and shapes when needed. Which yes, is part of the yellowing on certain figures that have been near it.)

Cap 2 Falcon is out? I saw two different store restock that line over the past week and still haven't seen him! D:

I found him a little over a month ago. I just figured that since I found him in the midwest, he was already sighted all over.

Well, considering you and I are probably shopping at the same stores, that's why. xD

Almost same here, I began to go back to 3.75" heroes figs with DC in 2012, then found out that MU were actually better so I started to collect them... I've been lucky enough to find a lot in Japan or sometimes in US when I went there for holidays, but also bought a lot here from fellow Arkers...
A chinese seller sold me a Black Panther and UKMU got me a Paperbag, so I'm happy.
I'm lucky enough to love characters that are not rares or expansives ones: Iron Spider, Gladiator, The Thing, She Hulk.
The ones I miss but are too expensive or rare to be just found at ROSS or on the BST are those... I pray some chinese selle might sell them on Ebay one day... hey we got paperbag last month from nowhere after all!
-Wonderman
-Miss Marvel (any)
-Radioactive Man
-Tiger Shark
-Mockingbird

So I'm happy with what I have now :)

Same problem here with my Guardian, and my Moon Knight as well! It's like they're with in some parts, and poorly-tainted silver in others... well, I keep saying myself that they are toon shading exclusives lol.

bmorr 05-19-2014 06:15 AM

keep your white figures out of direct sunlight and dont smoke cigs around your collection either. thats a quick way to yellow your figures.

klinton 05-19-2014 11:22 AM

Ouch. :/

I'm a pretty heavy smoker, but I've always smoked out of doors at home for that very reason: I'm terrified of staining my things.

Don't forget pets as well, keep them out of the room if you can. Have a friend who has cats, so his collection room reeks of cats...obviously the smell has clung itself to the figures.
