Pretty much everyone ties to avengers in one way or another anyway. Same to the X-Men, so they may as well just call it the Marvel Infinite line and vary up the front emblems as needed when needed anyway.

Win for everyone. Package change/refresh as needed.
Now if only they could get them on store shelves! I've only seen wave 1 at one store so far, and they've yet to even restock!

That's why his body shines white, but his head and leg are tinted yellow slightly(the grays are part of the original paint job Hasbro released on him). The softer plastic of the limbs are that plastic type that age horribly. His figure and the future foundation figures show it considerably. None of the other figures that have white plastic have aged quite like those 4 have(even FF spidey hasn't aged yellow like that). Guardian has it the worst though. Probably because he's been in my collection the longest out of them. Though amazing friends Iceman has been on my shelf longer than all of them and he hasn't yellowed at all. Neither has Moon Knight.(Which is a shame, because I'm looking for a reason to customize him into a better Moon Knight!)

I love my motion revive series Kamen Riders. I wish they still made them to cover the rest of the characters up to at least before Gaim. (I want Faiz, Psyga, Kaixa, and Delta in this scale and detail! Plus the rest of Blade like a non battle damaged Garren, Chalice, and Leangle in this scale! Besides of course OOO's Sahgozo plus default, W's default and fang joker, and then Wizard +forms! They can skip Agito. Kuuga wouldn't be hard to round out from the parts they already have on his two figures released either. Those parts can be mixed and matched to make his other forms!) I am glad they did "the First" and "the Next" movie riders at least. Since they don't blend with the normal MRS KR figures style, I keep them on my movie shelve in front of the Microman movie realized series live action Casshern. Makes for a more diverse movie shelf too. SHIELD/Avengers/GI Joe, then Kamen Rider 01, 02, and v3, Casshern, then DC movies (missed Hal Jordan GL by accident), then the Villians. Which for me right now is only Avengers Loki, a custom Illyria, and Kurse. I skipped Destroyer by accident.

Went and picked up some flat black paint today finally. So now I was able to doctor up the two Robocops' hands. Also trying out an experiment with the clearanced out Nick Fury figure I went back and picked up the today to see how he looks on the Commander Rogers movie styled body to add a little more variation to the molds on my 616 shelf. So far not digging the slight size difference though. May have been a better idea to try and get the multi-pack fury from the IM2 line for that. It's scaled better as a GI Joe head. Avengers Fury's head is at that between point of just slight too small for the MU Commander Rogers buck, but slightly too big for the new movie Rogers costume.

*Edit*
Used my Doctor Who sonic screwdriver flashlight to get some light in there for the auto focus to kick in, and it worked! I get to actually say I sonic'ed my camera to make it take pics in focus now. xD

Here are the results of the SHIELD shelf, and also took a pic of the quick head swap for the "Agent Fury" in Secret Avengers. The Robocops look 100 times better now with both hands black too.

That bike is a repainted Animated Prowl. Since I had Samurai Prowl for my collection, I took the original and trimmed up the head, painted it white, and then trimmed up a SHIELD insignia to fit inside. Now it makes for great SHIELD bike +ninja robo support.

Paper craft coke machine behind the bad guys. When I was setting up the new backdrops, I saw one and couldn't resist adding it too.

A little cross movie universes.

My movie Avengers. That empty space is where Antman, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver will go. Yup, I keep the Hugh Jackman Logan figure on my Movie shelf too, but he has no hands anymore since all of those went to various customs. That's why I need a new one! Hopefully when Hasbro gets to doing X-Men movie line figures, I can fit them somewhere on this shelf too.

This pic came out better than I expected in composition with War Machine between Fury and Falcon. Pure fluke cause I was taking these pics blind more or less. I like how it turned out though.

And lastly, a bad angle on the new Fury custom I just did standing next to Ross' Thunderbolts. (I hope they do a Red skulled Punisher and Elektra two pack!) Ghost Rider's bike is Oil Slick repainted with some Human Torch flame accessories clipped on.

The cigarette boxes will eventually be painted up to be platforms. They're only temporary until I can find better. (Smoker household sadly, so those are easy to come by for cardboard pieces and shapes when needed. Which yes, is part of the yellowing on certain figures that have been near it.)

Drool! I want that Movie Falcon!
I love the MRS Kamen Riders, too!

That is my understanding as well. The MI line isn't a "team theme" line, rather just a revision of the the MU line. The four symbols, are the instantly recognizable images for Marvel. I am sure even we would struggle to find four symbols representing specific X-Men characters.

So as the line progresses we shall see all sorts of figures and characters. X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, rouge villains....are all fair game. All being produced under the MI banner with the IRON MAN,HULK,THOR,CAPTAIN AMERICA icons above the blister pack on the card. No where on the package does it say 'Avengers' even,it does have it printed on the case box though. I believe that is just for their warehouse sorting number system though.

Cool pic, but why Blastaar? Have you considered adding some custom graffiti to the walls, something like Deadpool was here or Hail Hydra. Could be neat, but don't do it if you don't want to.

bmorr 05-21-2014 01:13 PM

nah, i like it the way it is. in the future i might glue on some storefront logos, like my LCS for example. Also, i just wanted to recreate Avengers #310 where he was the villain of the issue.

im also just waiting for it to be june so we can get more figures. I cant stand this wait. I have nothing preordered cause im not willing to pay 15 for a figure. I still have not seen any MI in stores.

En Sabah Nerd 05-21-2014 01:59 PM

I share your pain, patience only lasts so long. Even my other toy lines are making me wait until June, or later, to buy their products.

As you'd guess from the case assortments, it's highly likely you'll only be seeing Cap and Heroic Age Iron Man clogging your store's pegs. I grabbed Hyperion and Hulk the one time I came across them, but the Cap and IM figures are still on that same peg; this was maybe going on 2 months ago now. No one will ever buy them, so I don't see a restock happening anytime soon. lol

collectvintage 05-21-2014 06:49 PM

must.. haul.. MI's... (my brain)

collectvintage 05-21-2014 06:50 PM

grabbed wasp at wal-mart... I timed when the boxes get put out weekly so I've been able to open both captain and spider-man legends, and now the MI's woo!

samsson37 05-21-2014 07:08 PM

^I don't know what about Deaths head's duel appeal to Transformer and Marvel fans? plus it's the first figure of him ever. I think he's going to be a pain in the ass to find, but at least the new case will have 2 wasps, so I think she'll cool out a bit. Collectvintage, where do you live? the Wal-Marts around here have been a MI black hole. as far as I've herd the MI line is only showing up in Target, a few regional grocery stores, and LCS's.

En Sabah Nerd 05-22-2014 12:05 AM

At least Death's Head is being repacked 2 per case in wave 4 (sourced from BBTS), as a Transformer and Marvel collector I'm definitely looking forward to it (even though I didn't care for his Transformers comics). I don't think that it's fair to guess who will be hard to find until the wave hits, first toy ever didn't make Darkhawk or the Guardians team pack rarer.

I'm debating on skipping him personally, as a fan of both marvel and transformers I'm still unsure about that figure.

For me at least, as a Transformers fan, I wasn't fond of his appearances there all that much. As a Marvel fan, I'm more fond of Deathshead II and III.

So if I do get him, chances are he'll be on my transformers shelf instead of my marvel one.

Weird. Here I've only seen them at Walmart and TRU. Target has been a graveyard for new figures since just after Christmas, and my LCS had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about them.

samsson37 05-22-2014 07:02 AM

The reason I said I think Whirlwind is going to be hard is Im not seeing him at all on ebay. I think there is one posting which is odd. actually all of wave two is pretty scarce. while there are tons of wave 3 popping up. funny enough the Antman price is already starting to sky rocket

bmorr 05-22-2014 08:33 AM
