Except it isn't underwhelming to me. I am quite glad I ended up getting the whole wave becasue except for the Black Iron Man, the figures here are awesome. The paint apps are great all around, especially on Blizzard who really stands out due to his shiny paint. The sculpts rock, especially on Vision, Strange, and the girls. The only thing that I can really ding the wave on is the lack of accessories. Strange and Vision really could have used some additional hands, Blizzard needs ice attachments, and War Machine needs some more weapons.

The quality of all the figures are great, but like i said they arent characters i was dying for neither... i don't even know who the 2 girls are. Im sure one is a asgardian because of her armor that's similar to Thor's. The other chick never seen her before.

I think you should possibly watch calling him black iron man. It might possibly offend people lol

Captain Nash 08-26-2015 09:06 AM

I thought the wave was a mixed bag. The Dr. Strange was needed IMO because I absolutely hate his gaudy iconic costume and the more modern look is a vast improvement over it. Blizzard is outstanding and a visual eye-snapper. Valkyrie is a great improvement over her original figure but wasn't entirely necessary. Thundra being a new figure completely is a plus, but she's not a big name either. Vision (despite being an excellent paint job), War Machine and Iron Man are the throw aways to me in this wave.

Random QC issues aside (of which I haven't had any.. yet =), what I'm enjoying right now is how Hasbro's execution of certain characters in Legends is making me buy figures I don't really have any reader investment in as a comic book fan. Black Ant, Scarlet Spidey, Misty Knight, Blizzard... all characters I know very little about from the books, but I really wanted to buy their figures regardless. Even things like remembering back when Dr. Kain said he had zero interest in the movie Hulkbuster and seeing how stoked he is on it now is a huge positive testament to how Hasbro is handling the Legends line at the moment. Sure it's not perfect (yes, VashTS, we know dude... =), but as a whole, I'm loving everything in Legends right now, even if it's seeing characters I personally don't care about get released.

I mostly agree but I do think this upcoming year may be mostly a dud for me, what with Mockingbird being the only figure I'm really excited about getting - though I know i'll pick up Morbius and maybe some others as well.

But I think they've done a tremendous job of mixing up great and passable build a figures, which sounds like it's not a good, but it actually is to me, more just because certain waves didn't hold as much appeal to me as others, the HB wave being the only wave I just felt like the BAF was worth getting the entire wave for even if I wasn't thrilled with getting the individual figures.

The quality and articulation of the line though, even with figures I'm not excited about seeing, only seems to be getting better and better. So absolutely no complaints there.

I guess my only real gripe, is that I wish we would be seeing some more X-Men related stuff, but that's not necessarily directed at Hasbro or even assumed that Hasbro has much say so in. F4 as well to a much smaller extent (I would like Attuma and Wizard and that's really about it from them.)

warmachine6 08-26-2015 10:05 AM

How do you guys feel about buying these figures at a marked up price ? My LCS called told me they got the rhino wave in, but they're selling them at $24.95 each and scarlet spider at 28.99 each. Luckily i already got 2 scarlet spideys at regular price via BBTS.

If there were 2-3 I was looking to buy and I got a call for that price I'd do it. Then again I'm willing to pay up to $30 for ML, though of course less is always better.

You call that a mark up? *chuckles...

Many of the LCS around here would have those marked up to $39.99. Those are steals.

That said, at 24.99, I'd pick them up. You're not gonna find them anywhere cheaper online, (especially Chameleon, Kraven, and Ghost Rider) as well as saving yourself the aggravation of burning gas and time trying to track them down. The extra 2 dollar mark up is worth the convenience easily.

Any word on when the Target three pack is hitting? I'm in NY and I have yet to find it. I have seen it at some comic cons, but for like $75-$80. I won't pay that much.

next year maybe early next year like january i reckon for spidey and march for cpt.A.C.W

Blimey $25 or £25 a piece yeah erm hasbro better gives more accessories though i have noticed that some LBS or websites that sell CB figures are starting to up the price if said figure is claimed rare. might have to get lucky on ebay its bloody steep even if you do have a job.
Though im mostly shop via internet i do have 1 Local CBS so i guess i can live with their prices or try and get a bargain online or something

Yes its Robos gun, the bike is a CBR 1000, I got it at TRU when they had an assortment, before they started carrying the SOA bikes which now seem to occupy that slot.

With Force Friday coming up it may be a while before Walmart stocks the wave too. My local Walmarts have been packing all of the toylines in a little tighter on the pegs so that SW has more room.

warmachine6 08-27-2015 04:24 AM

Did anyone forget these ?

matt3223 08-27-2015 04:31 AM

I for one am holding out for the figuarts hulkbuster....the BAF wave did not appeal to me as I really only wanted war machine, MN iron man, and valkyrie for a custom job....plus the baf hulkbuster paint apps just did not do it for me nor did the size being around 9". Now this figma hulk is coming out and sweet Jesus that thing looks like the best mcu hulk to date in 6" scale! Since I only really collect mcu figures I can be a lil picky and not worry about completing most lines.

donmeca2020 08-27-2015 09:18 AM

got em all today from my LCS for 19.99 each including tax, as oppsed to their asking price of 24.95 each. not bad at all and all of the figures eyes look good to me. no cross eyes or anything goofy lol
