I know you guys have toys on the brain, but come on! There's a whole great big world out there.

Ahh, reference....ius NNiiice!!

Every movie listed here is a classic. Young or old, see Borat,.. one of the most quotable (stupid funny quotes) movies in the past ten years.

"when I first buy my wife she have good vagine and she strong on plough."

77kustoms 11-23-2011 08:15 AM

Nuthin wrong with Any of those movies, but I could watch "the Jerk" all day long.

"Its the cans, he hates cans"!

Haha, Classic!

I did a whole one man stand up of the Jerk when I was in fifth grade for talent day.

My Mom still calls me Naven when I do something stupid.

The new phone book is here! The new phone book is here!!

I love those movies too. I'm a fan of all good comedy

But at the risk of getting the MOD's angry i'll try and steer the convo back to toy talk, since i derailed it in the first place.

I recieved classic Havok yesterday from an Arker. All I can say is YEEEEESSSSSS!!! It's so awesome to finally be holding it in my hot little hands. That feeling you get when you finally find that "fix" you've been looking for, forever. It's priceless. I can imagine if i ever aquire a Nick Fury (the mail away one) That I just may die with sheer dellight. Havok is an awesome figure, I really hate the modern costume, so to have the classic is EPIC!

Also recieved XMO Gambit. Same feeling great figure, he came outa the mold a little stupid so i have to do some fixing on his face, but all in all, awesome.

And last, but definitly not least I got the IM2 concept series 3 pack with vibranium iron man. Fucking Sick!!!

Being ripe with americian patriotism i really like red white and blue. And Iron Man in this color scheme is AWESOME!!! With a great paint app to boot I couldnt be happier. I wasn't planing on getting more than one iron man, but once i found out this one existed I just had to have it. Its a sick ass figure.

I had an epiphany last night on how I could make a MU Kingpin, and Blob two pack that would use many of the same parts. Mainly figured out a way to have such girthy figures have decent articulation.

I would have to sculpt them and make resin kits. I may pursue this endeavor.

Do you think it would be unacceptable to have the Kingpin and Blob's headsculpts/faces exactly the same except for a soft plastic "hairpiece" attached to Blob?

i'm sure that'd be fine, just dont stand them next to each other.

Exactly, but if your going the route of making the bodies differently then why not slightly make the faces different? The blobs face being more fat and Kingpins face being more chiseled. Slight differences will make a world of difference in the end.

Yeah, I definitely see the point here. Kingpin I envision with more of a condescending sneer where as Blob I picture with more of a sadistic grin.

I am still doodling as of now. Thinking about making a slightly elongated neck on the body buck that will accommodate two different neck details. An Ascot/tie for Kingpin and a Double chin/hotdog neck for Blob

That was another way I was going to reduce the similarities of the faces if I ran with one headsculpt.

77kustoms 11-23-2011 09:25 AM

You could always try and articulate the old 96 toy biz king pin.

Nah, i wanna try sculpting again. It's been a few years since I sculpted anything other than robots or mecha. Clothes and flesh seem like a fine challenge.

Plus the thought occurred to me to maybe do a small production run if they turn out worthy.

powerman/ironfist seem to be pegawarming around here.

I've noticed that as well. I think in my neck of the woods there just aren't as many collectors who were around in the '70s like me. They might not relate at all.

I picked one up, so i could have iron fist since the single carded ones are hard to come by, and since i think "Gangsta" Luke cage is an awful looking character.

Silver Samurai/Patch CPs are the most abundant around at the moment. I really want a SS, but not interested in PatchLogan. I'll pick up the pack after Christmas during clearance.

Agreed, SS looks great, Logan as much as he's my favorite hero is so so, but I picked it up during the HTS sale.
