WOW...is it worth seeing or should I save that hour of my life for something meaningful?? |

Don't even get me started on the 70s captain america movies that used a motorcycle helmet for his costume. |

seriously though it's dubbed like an old Godzilla movie, it's as campy and over acted as any movie you'll ever see, and the costumes.... well I'll just say I don't think anyone went on a strict diet and workout regiment to fill there rolls. but if you'r into, so bad there good movies this is for you, oddly enough though it's hard to find. the DVD is something like 60$. |

90's Generation X movie for the win, though. Just saying. =)

I know it's bad, but I do gotta give props to Fox for that one. I wish it was on DVD. I'd trade that movie for the entire original X-Men trilogy. And okay yeah, I'm a sucker for the original 70s Dr. Strange movie too. But most of "classic" Marvel cinema was pretty bad outright. Generation X though, the camp just made it work. I'd love for Fox to do the same again with Academy X and have that springboard into a series that ties into the cinematic world. X-23 would be a perfect candidate for that crossover potential too between tv and film. |
I'm sure Disney doesn't like the competition from the licensees either.

The same people who go see one superhero movie, typically go to the other too. I know I saw both Cap2 and X-Men DOFP in theaters this year. The one I skipped mostly was ASM2. Disney has the shows right now, and I doubt Fox if they make any would try to fight over the viewership in a time slot. With net watches and DVR now, that's also obsolete mostly. Agents of SHIELD is mostly hurting in viewership numbers because of the pairing against NCIS(they share some overlap in viewerships), but it's also a good time slot and that test of how well it'd fair against them ratings-wise was needed. Tuesday has become a kind of ritual for procedural shows of those natures, but maybe Agents of SHIELD would be better suited paired off against NCIS:LA instead. Fox has already learned not to mess with that time slot with how quickly the ratings on Glee nosedived when they put it there. So their best bet for any shows would be around those, but it's also dependent on the kind of show for where it belongs on the day of the week schedule. Fox has a bad habit of shifting stuff around making it hard to know when what you like is on. So they do need to maintain some kind of recognition for "this day is so&so day" and maintain that. |
In the UK, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on Friday night at 8pm. It does well here....
Also, I want one of those BOSS FIGHT STUDIOS green females to make Gamora. Also planning on doing THE MISSING LINK's GROOT recipe and perhaps MANDO's ADAM WARLOCK in his matchng outfit. That would give us the GotG team from Earths Mightiest Heroes a few years back. Also, we are wanting to make a TRAPPSTER.... any good recipes? I know BANDAI Masked Rider figures could work for his MASTERS OF EVIL look from the same show. |

All around, it looks like season 2 is going to be epic, and the time slot quirk is ironed out now. Granted, like I said though, it really did need that initial testing against NCIS to see how strong the draw was, but now I'm glad to see them working around that too. |

I saw David Hasselhoffs Sgt. Fury but David Hasselhoff is just David Hasselhoff and its hard to watch even though the CGI is pretty decent, there is some nice parts and marvel history in the film. |
its hard to watch David Hasselhoff as anyone other than Michael Knight. I didn't watch Baywatch so I cant attest to his Mitch portrayal but I have seen a few other things he has done and he still seems to be Michael/Garth Knight on cruise control

Just picked up this bad boy. Very excited, was never able to find him in the wild. So I was thrilled to pay less than 4 times retail for him. Very cool to have a pearly Dr. Strange. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/844/6dwn.jpg

One more post because I am bored at work. I got a Legends Man-thing to play along with the Marvel Universe figures. I have to say I just want Legends figures now. This thing is pretty awesome toy wise.

Oh guys I am a 3.75 collector forever!
This is a more general question. Do people prefer the Universe figures over the movie related figures? Body construction wise? |
I prefer Universe over film-verse because one buck can be used to great effect many times and not feel overused, yet. Referring to the Jim Lee Cyclops buck, didn't get that Cyclops (for my own reasons), but seeing it on Adam Warlock, Nova, Captain America, Punisher, Mysterio, etc. I still like knowing each one has great pose and what not. I feel like the bucks used on movie figures are typically well sculpted and painted, sometimes excepting the faces, but almost each toy is different and on a new buck so pose and reliability is variable at best, though sometimes I prefer movie figures like the Skrull soldier from Avengers, I think it came out a tad better than the MU Skrull soldier on sculpt and design. Opinions are though, just that, opinions, and hardly are two ever the same.

but do you know what really grinds my gears? 4" MI/MU figures are the same price as the giant marvel mashers, which use 6 TIMES THE PLASTIC!! Someone tell me how this makes any sense. |
cobracobra ;)
bmorr...nice Family Guy reference funny samsson In general, MOST of the movie figures are lackluster. There are a few exception though. As well, where else you gonna find a Sif? I too prefer the Movie Line Skrull, En Sabah, to the MU Skrull. The MU Skrull is skinny and looks cracked out next to the Movie Line one. I used the Movie ones as Brutes and the MU ones as foot soldiers. I recently traded my Skrulls in a blockbuster three way trade. Started to rebuild though. In a perfect world I would have 15 MU, 5 Movie, Super Skrull, Giant Man Skrull and a leader Skrull...maybe in a cape. Always wanted to ask.... what are YOUR armies and your army numbers? Skrulls, AIM, SHIELD, Hand, Moloids, Chitauri...whatever. Just wandering your armies and how many? Do you even army build at all, or are you a one and done sort of guy? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE chime in on this everyone..... |
I personally don't have the space or money to army-build, but i do have two movie Skrulls since there were only two left at my local grocery when they went on clearance. I do really hope that a Kl'rt figure is released eventually (classic or Annihilation).
