So besides Batman in the coat and Khul Drago, who else is in the other half of the wave?

I don't know if there are 4 new figures in this exact wave or if it's like how a lot of wave 1 cases were packed without any Wonder Woman figures. I only saw a couple of Aquaman, a couple of Knightmare Bats, I think I saw a Lex but that's not 100%, and then just more Supes and regular Bats on the pegs.

I then saw the new Aquaman BvS figure and felt shame for whoever decided that this scrawny/not-big-looking thing passed for Jason Momoa at the Mattel design team (if they even have such a thing at Mattel). He looks weak and pasty compared to either Bats or Supes.

This whole line is crap with the outdated articulation and shitty paint apps!

FYI: Khal Drogo is how it's spelled.

Did spongebob...i mean aquaman...get evicted from atlantis? Must be wondering around LA muttering to himself.

redfox 03-21-2016 08:23 PM

The Batgirl, Harley, and Wonder Woman figures have me really excited for the Dc Icons line. I really hope Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Black Canary are in the works for future waves.

Ravenxl7 03-21-2016 10:17 PM

For what they are and how much they cost, I don't think the Multiverse figures look bad. Some of the movie figures are actually kinda tempting, but I think I'll wait for DCC's versions. They'll cost quite a bit more, but they look like they'll be great collectables.

Lex is pictured on the back of the box for the two new BvS figures, as well as a mystery figure. I'm really wondering who that last figure will be. It's gotta be some big spoiler for the movie... right?

I'm hoping NobleCollection will make some replicas for the movie. A grapnel gun from them would be great, as that means I can fully ifnore Mattel's C&C version... which is just getting more and more tempting... even with it's attached stand...

OMG, Hobo Aquaman.

The main problem I have with Mattel's figures is the outdated crappy articulation,if they would move out of the Dark ages and just copy Hasbro's ML articulation formula, these would be great figs,as it is,they are overpriced crap!

You say this like Mattel is giving these figures 5poa. They're not that bad imho. Granted, I'm coming from a clearly opposite opinion, as I think Hasbro puts too much articulation in their figures, and at the expense of their sculpting. Pizza Spidey, a highly regarded figure, looks like utter garbage to me.

To each their own.

Dr Kain 03-22-2016 07:50 AM

Hobo Aquaman doesn't have an abcrunch or waist swivel.

Pizza Spider-Man is hands down the best Marvel Legends. Its articulation is perfect.

305Batman 03-22-2016 08:16 AM

No point in beating this dead horse,Mattel just doesn't care because they know some people will gobble up the crap they put out, something as simple as hinged wrists and ankle pivots would've been so useful with armored Batman for example. My BvS money is going to DCC!

I have no BvsS money. And based on the reviews, well, sometimes I hate it when I'm right.

What are the odds that we get Classic versions of the JL Big 7 in the ICONS line? Pretty good right?

UrsaMagnus 03-24-2016 11:32 AM

Just scored this parts lot on eBay...

I'm always on the lookout for more Lantern bodies from which to make more customs. I really need to snag more Red, Yellow, and Star Sapphire bodies especially.

Regardless of BvS, The Dark Knight Returns is still amazing.

After my fiancé gave me Killer Croc for Easter, I decided to share my little Arkham verse I've built so far. Sorry for the sideways pics lol.

Except that icons are drastically undersized and have more delicacy breakage issues than a virgin at the prom.

Nice, except for the awkward hips that Croc is a favorite of mine. He's huge for a figure that retailed at the exact same price as the rest of the line. The Bane from Origins series 1 is also nice and big but he is pretty weak on the articulation front.

Yeah he lacks alittle in the articulation dept. But I like him better than the other Arkham version. Something bout the smirk on the face is so sinister. Still looking for a Bane. Think I'm gonna get the one that's similar to the 3.75 version. Just don't like the juiced up version.

I had a real hard time getting the Origins Bane for a good price until BBTS restocked him at normal price but he's sold out again. Speaking strictly about Arkham-verse figures I also got the Asylum Bane and Batman two pack and while it's easily the better Bane toy as far as articulation goes the design is still pretty extreme compared to his Origins look. I was hoping they'd make a new Origins Bane that would be him wearing the jacket just because that probably would have allowed for much more arm articulation but at this point that's not happening.

Okay, can someone explain to me what the deal is with the "Heat Vision" Superman figure from the Movie Masters Multiverse? I saw the news of it and removable cowl Batman hit TRU's in Canada and then nothing.

Is a TRU exclusive? Is it just taking it's time getting to the USA?

I hardly see any mention of it and due to Mattels "creative" naming, most of what I get when I image search is the basic figure that looks a bit like one of Superboys suits.

Great question! I thought I read that they were Toys R Us Exclusives. They'll make it here, I guess it's just taking a bit of time. I think it's funny that we haven't seen the last figure in the Multiverse line, even though the movie has been released. Regardless, we should be hearing something soon.
