Nice to see an Aquqman with an accurately colored trident.

The TRU Batman looks good. Hopefully the improvements to that version will carry over to the production version of the Suicide Squad figure.

Has there been any word on what the last Dawn of Justice figure is? (aka #7 according to the back of wave 2's boxes). With it still being kept a secret, I have to imagine that it's some kind of spoiler. Maybe it's a figure of the Flash? I mean, we got Aquaman already, and Barry had a more significant cameo in the movie, so... maybe?

He's definitely being made, but as a part of their catch-all part of Multiverse. He's a part of the wave that has the new 52 Doomsday C&C figure, alongside TDKR armored Batman, TDKR Mutant leader, TV's Supergirl, and Doomsday infected Superman (or whatever that thing is supposed to be called).

305Batman 04-09-2016 08:03 PM

To each his own,but all those BvS figs are horrible.

To us they aren't so good looking but I've seen kids pretty excited to see them so that's nice for them.

i don't really think these are that horrible, are they great? HELL NAW

I have a friends birthday coming up and I thought I'd get her a Power Girl action figure because she doesn't have one and really, really loves Power Girl. Any recommendations as to which would be closest to an Amanda Conner Power Girl and is a good quality figure to get?

I'd recommend the DC Classics Power Girl. Sure, it pegwarmed for a long time, but it's still better than anything DC Collectibles has put out (personal opinion).

Has DCC put out any Power Girl figures since they got their shit together? I don't keep up with all of their stuff.

I think they made one in that terrible new costume, the one without an, um, "chest window"...

There was one in a two-pack with Huntress that has some "better" articulation, but still pretty unposeable.

Thanks!

While the DCUC Power Girl is nice, I think my personal favorite is the DCD Infinite Crisis Power Girl.

Too bad we haven't had a PG like that one but with a little more articulation.

PlasticFrank 04-12-2016 09:19 AM

so I have seen articulaationn come up so many times in this thread when talking about Matty DC stuff. Well Ask Matty actually answered that question here. I would like to know collector's thoughts on this.

We have seen the most innovations with figures (in terms of articulation with the WWE Elite line) however the DC Line suffers from strange articulation in both looks and execution. In regards to that line and any others, are there any plans to update articulation?
Answer: Its hard to compare WWE and DC because they have a different offering all together. WWE gets a lot of use out of shared parts since its mostly dealing with Human bodies and has a range of body types that they can pull from , where DC tends to have more unique parts which tends to drive up tooling costs which limits how many new parts they can do. Also DC has a Collect and Connect figure in their lines so that part has to be accounted for as well, which tends to limit how much they can afford in regards to articulation and deco.

Their answer was nothing more than the typical garbage we've gotten from them at every turn.

"where DC tends to have more unique parts which tends to drive up tooling costs which limits how many new parts they can do"

Nonsense! They can do exactly the same thing that ML does. Use the same few bodies with overlays. Is WWE able to get away even cheaper? Yeah. But this is a couple of companies that make many, many millions of dollars off of toys every year. If they actually put forth the effort that they should, they would make even more money than they are now. For them, it's a fear-based move. They're afraid they'll give collectors more value for our dollar per figure and not make any profit off of it by selling higher numbers, so they move towards the lowest value they can get away with per figure and still sell anything.

305Batman 04-12-2016 09:46 AM

More Matty BS! How much more can a simple ankle pivot cost? That joint alone would've made their BvS figs a little better, not much though!

PlasticFrank 04-12-2016 10:16 AM

Matty is DC Collectibles best friend. after Toy Fair reveals I will be strictly DCC.

Black Arbor 04-12-2016 10:19 AM

Hey guys, just put some Dc Classics stuff up in a BST thread, if anyone's interested. I'm gonna be getting out of the collecting game, not sure how long really, so I'd prefer they go to a good home. I'll still be around to talk though, haha
