I was hoping that at least with this most recent wave i'd get to seen a Metal absorbing variant at retail but still nothing?? Are scalpers just that good? Or is distribution just that bad?? I meant where are all these variant's ending up? Why is it that I have to eventually pay double or more what they retail for to own one? I kinda think it sucks. I mean I hit multiple stores 2 to 3 times a week and I have yet to see any kind of variant in the wild. It really is frustrating.

Would be nice just to see the newest wave...but it would get scalped up here so fast I wouldn't even know they hit the shelves..

I would like to try the one with Thing's arm but I have to find away to make it look connected. Im just lazy..lol

Tiberius 11-26-2011 08:32 PM

Haha me too bro, been wanting to add changeable Thing arms to my Kl'rt Super Skrull from Annihilation.

Reaver Strike 11-26-2011 08:52 PM

I've seen a few restocks of this current wave and I haven't seen the variant absorbing man either.

Right, but i'm at the stores just as much as they are I would think, unless they have all day everyday to go hunting.

I have within 30 miles of me 6 walmarts that carry MU and 5 targets that carry MU 2 comic book shops and 2 TRU's and ive seen jack shit for varients.

evilanimation 11-26-2011 09:37 PM

well i do not imagine scalpers buy from comic shops, but as for retail my local scalp shop is at Walmart at 6am when they open...

All purchased from retail...these guys are aholes.

Tiberius 11-26-2011 09:40 PM

hey are 14 i believe for regular and 25+ for variants.

Tiberius 11-26-2011 09:49 PM

LOL!!! Crooks. Up here at comic shops, they sell them for 13.99. Thing is, retail is 11 dollars with taxes, so it isn't that big of a mark up [13.99 includes variants]. Charging DOUBLE [assuming these guys are American] is honestly in my books, wrong. Sure we don't have to buy them but if they clear out all the stores, what choice does a lot of people have? Like damn...

Ya they are buying retail at 7.99. So they are double markup.

Tiberius 11-26-2011 09:57 PM

That is fucking wrong...fuck. I hope you don't shop there. I refuse to buy games from a place called "Play 'n' Trade" for video games. They offer 33 cents on a trade in for Smackdown Vs Raw 2010. I go back a few weeks later and some one else msut of traded it in and they are selling it for 24.99... Some places. I understand having to make money, but fuck there is a reasonable limit. That store you posted a picture of could make MORE money if they dropped the price to like 10-11.99 per figure and 14.99 for "harder to find variants". Look what you did son, I am RAGING.

Best way to maximize results is to go when the store opens on truck days.

In NZ there's the "GAMESMAN"(I make realy sure I have spelt it correctly before typing it into the address bar) and its just the same as "Play 'n' Trade"
Are the Green/hob goblin same as the spidey line?

Naw, I got the MU ones, but have seen the Spider-Man one at retail and it looks ok, just don't need it.

Marvel has it about right, however they spider-man one has a cooler glider, I think. It is all personal preference though.

Never noticed the gliders...damn it now i want them just for the gliders..lol

Tiberius 11-26-2011 11:18 PM

Just paint the gliders and you are set man. Need to get some "flight stands" or whatever for them too.

Defiantly better gilder, same articulation?

Tiberius 11-26-2011 11:20 PM

That I am not sure on because I haven't actually opened one up. I am assuming worse seeing the whole line lacks articulation on every figure that isn't spider-man haha.

True the MU looks like better articulation.
