Yep - still never seen Wonder Woman or Batgirl over here...

My area of the US isn't better.
I don't think I ever saw anything but Superman, Shazam and Cyborg in stores.

Specter 04-05-2022 09:43 PM

Welp I found one for a decent price and caved
https://u-mercari-images.mercdn.net/...jpg?1624411133

now to see if it's as near 3.75 as it looks
The original boxart made the Kenner era figures look too big for it.

Cockpit is 1 seat so I might open it up to change that and maybe upgrade the electronics.

Specter 04-09-2022 03:01 PM

Has anyone here seen customs on the Spinmaster 3-in-1 batcave?
Seen it suggested in a bunch of reviews but haven't actually seen it done.
Im planning to do it but im kinda looking for inspiration.

Honestly its super cartoony but I wouldn't sleep on it.
Literally just bought it for the batcomputer and the Batmobile tunnel/sewer portion.
I like that they work without needing to be connected.

Ninjinister 04-12-2022 10:42 AM

I still haven't seen any waves of Batman after the Batwoman wave, or any of the regular DC (except for once in a comic store) anywhere around me. Or The Batman movie line. Plenty of the 12" figures warming shelves, but nothing of the 3.75".

The terrible Walmart near me finally put some The Batman product out,
Weirdly its like 50 of the standard Batman.
No Penguin, Catwoman or Wingsuit.
No vehicles or anything else.

They had just recently gotten Deathstroke, Batwing, etc in the basic line but all that sold and now its like 20 Robins, 20 Jokers and they moved 8ish Supermen to the pre-clearance pegs.

Walmart had the muddie “Selina Kyle chase” set which I want as it has a helmet for Selina but the bike was clean and the figures were muddy. Then I saw a clean batman with batcycle set but the batcycle was muddy lol. I also want the Gordon set. What I REALLY want is a riddler. I hope that gets released down the line.

Specter 04-13-2022 12:23 AM

Anyone happen to have a picture of the Spinmaster Nightwing next to the Arkham 3.75 figure?

I don't think they are muddy but "battle damaged"
Silver battle damage with dirty batcycle and wingsuit
skin battle damage with Selina and her clean motorcycle
clean batcycle with Batcave
muddy Batmobile with muddy Batman, Catwoman and Penguin

Specter 04-15-2022 11:25 PM

For anyone that cares that TNBA RC Batmobile is acceptable for 3.75.

Shorter end 3.75 Batman figures look pretty good with it
cockpit sucks, the seat basically lays all the way back for a figure to fit. can't believe it was marketed to go with the old bigger Kenner/Hasbro stuff.

best thing is its looking pretty good with some 3.75 sets and vehicles

I'll post more pictures later, just came in tonight

I ordered the movie Batcave from Target online, and I’m really loving it. The scale of the pieces is terrific, and I love how you can attach the costume pieces and Batarangs to the work desk.

But those stairs! They are huge, can’t wait to fit them into one of my dioramas. A bunch of bad guys lined up along them would look stellar.

Im so conflicted on the Batcave.
-I already have like 4 versions of Batman
-I already have Penguin
-I already have the Batcycle
-The "turntable" is only sized for motorcycles
-The stairs are kinda pointless and not really a Batcave element at a glance
-No chair

+its probably my favorite movie cave
+the "turntable" is cool regardless
+the computer and work ben are must haves

Its just kinda of a disappointment compared to their other caves

Though I'm really tempted to get it to add on to the other cave.

That looks great! I'm still surprised Spin Master never did a figure of the, you know, villain of the movie.

Anyway, I was working on a couple easy DC customs. The first is an unmasked Deathstroke. This is a simple headswap: Fortnite Riptide head on Longshot's body. I debated removing the cloak, but the collar is sculpted high to accommodate it and I thought it looked a little off without it.

The 2nd one is of Aquaman villain The Fisherman. It's not based on any particular look, more an "inspired by". The body is Riptide and the hood is from Longshot. The head is a Boss Fight Blank. The skin tone didn't match the neck, so I added a Marauder Task Force scarf to hide it. I still need to get a 1/18 fishing pole.

Lastly, I did a Golden Age Sandman. Nearly everything here is MTF except for the hat and gun which are, I think, from Avacs Lab, and the cape which is from MU Grim Reaper.

So, all simple customs with no painting involved aside from some black shadows around Fisherman's eyes.

Thank you, these are very cool customs as well.

So...uh...anybody heard anything? Any news?

suprdave71 05-11-2022 12:42 PM

Question… I’ve collected this scale for decades. Has there ever been a Poison Ivy made in 4” or 3.75” scale? Batman Animated is the closest I can remember. That seems like a crazy missed opportunity if true.

Yeah I'm in the US and I finally just saw Wonder Woman first the first time last week.

Thus line has given several characters we never had before in this scale. Manta and Riddler immediately come to mind.

I recently found some DC Infinite Heroes figures from 2008 in an Ollies. I certainly wasn't expecting that.

I was hoping for Brainiac to be released in the Spin Master line, but maybe I missed the cancellation notice? Anyway, I just finished designing Brainiac's ship for 3d printing in 1:18 scale. The canopy opens to expose a removable chair, which I will later upgrade. The center platform is modular and can be upgraded with future accessories. The tentacles are ball-joint articulated at each section and the jaw lowers to expose a weapon.https://imgur.com/ZTHiuT5

The brainiac and bottle city of Kandor have been waiting for this ship for a while.
