^ that's a nice collection cellardoor!
The ares wave has hit Singapore it looks like. There's a blog where you can "come see toys" and the blogger has reviewed ares. He looks awesome. Glad I preordered wave 3 from bbts, should be here in a few weeks is my guess. |
I just popped over to the site to get a look see. Ares did come out pretty bad ass, but what i feared came true. No place to sheath his sword, or axe. The no arm guard thing bothers me a bit also, got to customize that perhaps. All in all a good figure and we can FINALLY complete the Dark Avengers !!!! So like it was already stated... a few weeks we'll get the newbies and like a girlfriend after a few months, the thrill we be gone and we get the same ol same ol (wave 4 :( ) Enjoy it while it last !!!!! lol

Looks like there's a variant for Deaths Head out there.

While cleaning today I found a half dozen Marvel Universe figures I had packed away. I was excited at first, but then ...why? I obviously don't need them now. I posted this on my instagram and flicker, but is this not worth my time?
https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3868/...b704872989.jpg6 for 60 Marvel Universe figures by SacredKnightOfTomorrow, on Flickr or, if they're not worth the original price I paid, I guess I should just go ahead and open them...out of package at least they would take-up less space. What do y'all think? I personally PREFER the 6" figures. |

Actually...all except the 1st App. Wolverine. Maybe if I sell the 5 for $50 and keep wolverine...unless, was he made in 6" scale too? |

could easily be variants for the MIS line, to be honest it's not as fun looking for them when there aren't any!
|
^^^^assuming you can actually hunt for them
@Kernal....You have to sign in (or sign up) to your Facebook account to see it. @falconhood.... nice find! Like putting on your winter coat for the first time after a long spell of spring, summer and autumn and discover you left folding money when you first reach your hand into your pocket..... Good stuff, good stuff. Personally, I think you will struggle to get that price for those figures. Anyone collecting moc would already have them, and anyone getting into the game now will more than likely be a loose collector. Value wise, between $4-$7 each on eBay. Options.... A. Sell them quickly at perhaps a loss in an auction. B. Sit on them for a long time at a buy it now. C. Trade them for one or two good 6" figures you do want. D. Put them back where you found them, and get double your money in several years. |
Oops... double post.
Remember that old cereal commercial for Double Chex? I I love love double double Chex Chex better better than than the the rest rest. I used to sing that jingle as a kid on the school bus.... I sing it in my head now when I notice I double post. Strange, but just sharing a peek into my thought process. That, and I felt I needed to write SOMETHING here. |

My least fave of the lot is the most popular. I could understand using Kitty as a custom for her body.
If this lot isn't worth $60, I should just pop them out and enjoy them. I just hate having 6 and 4 inch sized figures of the same character. It creates such a dilemna indeed. I grew-up with the 4", but the 6" were first...well, actually the 5" were really first...but they were not that articulated. |
Trade them for a Tron laser disk then.... ;)
Give them to TOYS FOR TOTS this Christmas and bring a smile to a child. Plus it would build a lifetime of memories for an underprivileged or sick kid. The next generation of collectors that would perhaps never be without your kind donation. Ask for them to given away as a set too. Or give them to a local hospital for the kids to bash about while in the waiting room for kids. I did that with some Cap Iron man and Spidey loose figures. The toy gods would smile down upon thee very favourable indeed. Super duper toy charma would rain down on you........ |
