I love that Loki figure!!! He is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP too, you can find him loose for under a tenner usually.

I use the SDCC Red Skull... not as cool as some others, but as a HYDRA purist, gotta go with the rarest one. If I were to choose... Maybe the AVENGERS ASSEMBLE cartoon line (with the overcoat and wee hat) but maybe on a Cap movie figure with the white gloves.

That Destro body (not sure which one, but he has a black tench coat on) with a Red Skull head looks REALLY nice...add hat hat for max effect.

cellardoor 06-19-2014 04:34 AM

I've put the ages of thunder cloak on Loki...looks pretty swish!
My main issue with the skull figures are the scale, he's generally too small so the GI Joe mash-up is a great idea.
Almost all Skull figures have brilliant head sculpts though.

ukmu 06-19-2014 05:45 AM

....swish!!!!! ;)

Which red skull or Loki you guys use in MU collection? Is there even one or use a movie one

I use the Gigantic Battles comic version Loki, which is a perfect comic version. I put movie Fandral's shoulder piece and the movie cosmic spear with him so he appears more majestic with the rest of the Asgardians. (pic below)

I use the movie Cosmic Spear Loki in my Movie display.

I use the Winter Soldier movie Skull in my modern display (left) and the Avengers Assemble Skull in my WWII display (right). I use the Avengers Assemble head on both figures, though.

Nice Display Psycho. Like the head swap on Thor. Does the skin tone match ? I love the AAS something about the coat over the shoulders thing makes him so sinister, especially paired with Crossbones standing at his side. Gives the whole (I"M'a G ) and dont even have to raise my hand to kill you look !! lol But On the flipside I love the detail of the long trench coat version. The Hydra belt buckle is AWESOME !!!!

No they don't..? Unless you're just talking availability for preorders.

ukmu 06-19-2014 01:19 PM

3rd wave already.... these guys are cranking them out!!!

I am going to PUBLICLY give an ATTA-BOY to Hasbro. Everyone bashes the source of our glory and pain. They manufacture our plastic crack. Then we bitch that the waves are too far apart...they fixed that. Then we all bitched about single packed figures...they fixed that. We bitched about variants...they fixed that. We bitched about no Guardians of the Galaxy 3.75" figures...they fixed that(although we have them, the rest of the world doesn't) We bitched about their distribution...they have been TRYING as several places now have the final wave of MU (it is a start) We bitched because we wanted boxed figures single carded...they fixed that. We bitched for new characters...they have delivered almost 15 New figures in just three waves. We.bitched because of movie tie ins being shite...I think.they are DONE with five POA and are at least trying with the timing of the GotG wave. We bitched at sloppy paint apps from the MU line... I have yet to hear of any horror stories with the new MI line. We bitched about the cost going up (and that is because of plastic being made.from crude oil which has more than quadrupled in price since the MU line began) and they responded by dropping pointless accessories and changed to cheaper cards. (I know some hate the new cards but of us open them.so why does it matter) We bitched about having to buy the same figure over and over for the completists...they fixed that by removing the number system and now you can buy who you want instead of everything. We bitched because the old MU line the.cards.didn't proper fit in clamshell for protection for moc collectors... they changed the size and I have heard (don't know first-hand as I open mine) that the new ones fit several readymade lines of protectors now. We hitched that you can't find them at retail... they have been making them more readily available in their store and other online places (it isn't their fault if Wal-Mart isn't buying...well it was past faults but at least they are revamping)

Thank you Hasbro.... I really DO believe you are listening and are at least trying to make it better. Here's to the best toy company in the world!!! Thank you for making our favourite Marvel characters in our favourite scale.....

No worries man... I was just thinking that if they were in stock, my preorder that's been sitting around for the case would've been charged. =) I've got Omega already, so the one in the case is getting flipped into an M. Bison custom asap.

Before you go kissing Hasbro on the mouth, consider this, has anyone seen wave 2 at retail? are any of the figures we've gotten in the MI line really new, or just the figures we should have gotten last year? and the topper is the beautiful upcoming wave 4. the prosecution rests.

Including Iron Man and Cap in Wave 1 instantly killed the chance of seeing anything from wave 2 or beyond at retail. As long as those guys are on the pegs at my local Targets, they aren't ordering sh*t from the newer waves.

ukmu 06-19-2014 02:59 PM

I'm.just saying it is easy to bash them.... but take a minute to thank them. They could just make Mr. Potato Head, Star Wars and Monopoly and be just fine..... then where would we be. Marvel Legends that's where. I shudder at the thought of it! ;)

or another company that as fresh ideas and a bit of ambition for the Marvel products would pick up the license and give us a better product. could you imagine what a small hungry company like Bossfight would do for there customers, maybe the problem is that Hasbro has so much other stuff going on that pleasing any one segment of the consumer base doesn't matter to them.

Yep. My preorder shows as paid so they should be here soon I think. That is a smoking deal as it saves on gas and hassle of having to go to the only target near me or freds first thing in the morning just to see pegs full of ironman and cap.

xMostWanted559x 06-19-2014 04:27 PM

Any wave 3 in stores?

Nah, prolly just in Singapore or something atm. I've only seen wave 1 partially stocked once at Target a while ago and now I don't even see the pegs for em anymore.

I am glad to have Hasbro around making these toys at all. It is easy to target them for not catering to our every desire, but they are so big as a company that we should relish every thing we do like. The smallest company I regularly deal with is NECA and compared to Hasbro they seem like gods of responding to consumers, but they put less product out as frequently for me to get my fix on. Between Marvel, Transformers, and (when I used to buy) Star Wars, Hasbro does alright by me even if they don't always listen.
