I've been trying the "shaved off star and then resculpt" on a Cap for WL Aquaman but it's just not working for me... which is why I thought you'd done something different, lol. I'll keep trying.

Here's what I picked up today. Why do the DKR villains NOT have knee articulation but all of the Bats/Bruces do? Madness. Also Bane had better use a naginata in the movie or else this figure's accessory just doesn't make any damn sense.

Because the Bruce Wayne and batman figures are the same figures they released in 2008 for the The Dark Knight. It was cheaper to leave the articulation in than to resculpt.

Found this today @ a TRU:

And is up for trade.

I love the 3.75 inch Catwoman...I still haven't got that particular Bane yet, but once my walmart gets in their next shipment, I figure the small scale stuff will peg warm, so I'm not really worried about not finding it.

proteus 06-20-2012 02:20 PM

As promised, heres the Bat-Breaker headsculpt from Krexx:

I would have liked removable goggles on that Catwoman much better. Too bad Mattel sucks at this scale.

Torn Prince 06-20-2012 10:23 PM

Yes indeed they do, and we know they're capable of so much better.

My new DC 3 3/4" appreciation.

The proportions of the Black Widow body are a bit too... boobie and round to be Ms. Hathaway, but the articulation far exceeds that awful body she came with in the 5-pack.

Loving this Bane. I think that extra Crossbones I have is going to end up being Bane.. the one with the red eye mask kind of reminds me of comic Bane already.

I didn't know there was a bigger card. That's the kind of card my Batman in the first post came on - but from Fred Meyer. Right now they're on sale there for $3.99.

I really only pointed it for MOC completists, or maybe if a Big Lot is closer than your local Walmart, Target, etc.

If your Batman came with accessories then the card it came on, while still small, is larger than the Big Lot "line." They come on smaller cards than what's in Walmart, Target, & TRU, are the same figure (there's only 3 though) and do not come with accessories like the big boy stores do.

I had to go to Target to find the "big ones", that came with accessories. The ones at Fred Meyer do not and match your description of the Big Lots ones.

Deathstroke is his name and fun fact Deadpool was originally a rip off of him.

It wasn't the to-scale one was it? :D I'd kill for that but I admit I have no idea where I'd put it.

But but but, he's the anti-monitor. xD

Bubba304 06-29-2012 09:11 PM

That Anti-Monitor is cool...I wish I had one, however it would be smart of DC to start making some 20 inch figures like that...the MU larger scaled figures are GREAT with the regular 3'3/4" figs

Bubba304 06-29-2012 09:11 PM

of course DC would need to have current 3'3/4" figs to compete with MU now...if there still is a MU?

That thing looks awesome. And bloody huge. I'd hate to see the price tag.

I think the Infinite Heroes line picked up the articulation the last few waves. I can't remember. I know the ones in the Starro SDCC pack were supposed to have better articulation.

Speaking of which. Any Starro love? Am I the only one who wants to get his hands on that pack and some spores and set up a Starro diorama with spore controlled heroes fighting those who remain?

I want to say there is a Superman, Batman, Capt Atom, Black Adam, Martian Manhunter and a couple more that have the ball joint hips. do a search of DC Infinite Heroes & Rumor buster and you might be able to see the photo checklist to make a better determination
