Sooo... Today is the deadline is it not?
How do we vote, He who made the thread? |
That'd be me, I was not paying attention... I suck, OK lets get voting! I say we all vote out loud here, maybe throw in why you voted for who you voted for if you want. anyone can vote, one person one vote. everyone who has an entry will be counted as an automatic vote for themselves, we'll all vote here, we can count them up Wednesday and declare a winner. guess I'll go first, give me a couple minutes to review.....
|
My vote is going to, Snowflakian- enrapture armor. it had everything I want in a figure, great paint, interchangeable gear and heads, removable armor. plus there is the bias that I'm a big X-23 fan, and I've been reading a lot of superior IM stuff lately, I noticed myself thinking "this would be a perfect spot in this story to fit the whole enrapture storyline". The back story and all, for some reason, had me envisioning a comic that would follow the sentient armor, regardless of who's in it as it adapts and learns, maybe even struggles with it's original adaptoid programming. but it got me thinking so I guess that helped me choose.... NEXT>>>

My vote is for K DUB'S...Marvin "The Shadow" Macy. Not to be confused with..."The Ballad of the Sad Cafe's Marvin Macy...A tangled triangle. In the rural South of the early 20th century, Miss Amelia is the town eccentric, selling corn liquor and dispensing medicine. She takes in her half-sister's son, a diminutive crook-back named Lymon. He suggests they open a café in the downstairs of her large house. Marvin Macy gets out of prison and returns to town; turns out he was married to Amelia but it wasn't consummated. He pleaded, then got angry. Is he back for revenge? Eventually, Amelia and Marvin stage a no-holds-barred fight in the café. Lymon's complicated response to Marvin and to Cousin Amelia figures in the resolution.

Also the delivery in the form of a comic is just great! |
I loved Pilk's presentation the most (and it fits in well within existing teams)
I loved K-Dub's backstory the most Cy's Cousin made me laugh out loud For overall coolness of a figure that I would want to own...My vote goes to Snow. But just barely..... |
I was gonna enter but realised I couldnt hope to compete! They were all awesome but my vote goes to
Pilkster |

Snowflakian gets mine, but I loved all of them a lot!
|
Tied as now...... 4 to 4 with Pilk and Snow. 2 for K Dub leaving a lonely single vote, and it may well remain that way, for Cy. Anyone's game at this point.....
Will Pilk's experience edge it out? Will the accessory rich figure of Snow topple the vote? Can the wiley veteran K Dub pull through in the end? Or perhaps, comedy will surge to the front with our dark horse Cy's Cousin......... the suspense is thickening!!! ;) |
My vote goes to K Dub. It is clean albeit simple, the backstory is fun and the pictures associated with it add an additional level. Hits it with all aspects of a good custom.
Not to say the other shouldn't get love. My thoughts: Pilkster gets my award for overall presentation. Cyk comes in with the originality Snow comes in with the figure I would most likely purchase |
The deadline is over already? Oh well, I didn't know what to use for teenager bodies anyway. Maybe next time...
My vote goes for K Dub. It may be a bit biased because of the superpower but dammit he made do a Where's Waldo - and I had to do double takes. |
if we end up with a three way tie my head will explode....
|
|
When does voting officially end?
|
the 15th at midnight

am new to this page!! and its awesome!! am a big marvel fan and have a huge MU AND MS collection. just saw the comp you guys are running wow some really cool and creative people on this site. for me the one that stood out was someone called pilksters, cool story and awesome custom!!
|
I vote Pilk
I usually only view threads and look at different ideas people have. This is why i love the toy and comic community that comps like this happen. I really like the presentation of Pilksters, really fitting. I like the alt universe setting and its comic book look. Hands down i vote for a mutated spiderman

Nice work--and solid storytelling by the field, but the figure I'd most like to have belongs to Snow.
|
Current tally is:
6 Plik's Web-X 5 Snow's Enrapture 4 K Dub's Macy 1 Cy's Duck Squad 1 Kernal's X-Force Taskmaster Keep the votes coming! And for those that want my figure on shelves, tell Hasbro to call me. I want her armor on shelves too. It'd make it easier on making more of her! I really wish they would outright make a custom pack to sell at hobby stores for customizers with the wraith gear and desert ambush Scarlett figure along with the various helmets(Zombie, Alley viper, and accel suit, even Ashiko's) and female character heads. Kinda wish they'd do the same for the Impact Armor Duke figure too with the various heads, but using Wraith's lower legs(which if you want a male version of the suit, that's the recipe for it btw, Retaliation snake eyes also works too). |
My vote is for Kdub, I really liked the side-story to an already existing universe. I really did have fun looking for "Macy" in his photos too.
