When the license was in full swing in 2011 and 2012, the site was barely being looked at and that was when we had mainline toys in retail stores, a collector line, statues and a cartoon.

If a cartoon or movie ever makes its way to audiences, then it might be worth opening up again. But right now, I have no interest in opening that back up.

How come there have been no updates to the site at all in a year?

Way out of scale with the cartoon too.

The cartoon's torso is much longer the spikes are much closer together at the top the head is no where as big as the figure's.

Your answer is in the post you quoted. There is not enough interest in the brand to justify me pulling time away and managing another site. There wasn't any interest in the brand when we had a full blown toon, main line, etc. There's even less so now. It remains as an archive of, mainly, the 2011 toon and the licensed items that were released in that time frame.

Mattel Thundercats Pumyra Update - The Toyark - News

Tha paint and sculptwork on these figures looks pretty good but..... the proportions are horrible ! I really dont remember well how they looked in the TV show but the figures themselves all have really short legs. The articulation doesn't seem all that great either....

Really, Bandai should have kept it up with that 9-10-inch line. It was the best thing ever; great articulation, great sculpts, and accessories and a very good price.

The problem was, even with just two initial figures, they sat on shelves. People weren't buying them at all. I bought an extra SDCC Lion-O for $8 on clearance at TRU. Then the move to 6" killed the Bandai collector line all together as you had both the 8" and 6" versions on shelves at the same time. Bandai's handling of the license was horrid, even though some of the figures were genuinely well made.

In speaking of general TCats collectibles, I still regret not buying the Sideshow Mumm Ra statue they had a couple of years ago. The price on the secondary market is crazy.

In any event, I really enjoy the look of these figures but still too rich for my blood for what you get. Plus horrible shipping through DR.

Plus they charge tax on the shipping price.

Just learned that the hard way.

RolandofGilead 02-25-2016 03:58 PM

I can't tell you how many times I had to fight with Digital River. I decided on the one lump shipment option to avoid interacting with that company as much as possible.

Last Day To Sign Up For Thundercats Third Earth Sub - The Toyark - News

wheeljack01 02-26-2016 08:15 AM

Well I bit the bullet and subbed with 1 time shipping. I really wanted to collect this line from the start and not miss anything. The figures look amazing.

Wh33ls 02-26-2016 06:26 PM

Well, I subbed.

When do they start charging for the other figures?

Mattel Thundercats Packaging Revealed - The Toyark - News

OriginalFire 03-26-2016 01:41 PM

The packaging kinda sucks, but its cool. Its kinda boring, big time. There were cooler choices at SDCC last year. Oh, well, I'm getting this for the figure, and not the packaging

Robogeek28 03-27-2016 06:44 AM

Yup, that's very boring packaging.

Mattel Thundercats Pumyra In-Progress Update - The Toyark - News

http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/up...d-Sculpt-2.jpg

jankatana 04-07-2016 02:59 AM

I must say the Pumyra head sculpt is terrible, the eyes are far too large, the face sinks in at the nose and slopes the face down weirdly to the chin which makes the neanderthal forehead protruding even worse. Matty need to start all over again with this head. It is amateur work and should be binned. All other figures look fantastic

The already announced figures are still coming out tho.

The Heat 09-08-2016 10:42 AM

Yikes! Can't say that I'm a fan of anything that figure's got going on. He'd look a lot better if they'd have put some effort into hiding those joints a little bit. As it stands he kinda looks... He-Man-esque?

They're reusing pieces from the existing MOTUC bodies for these. Much like they did with 6" DC figures.

Raph84 09-08-2016 11:38 AM

SO, if you weren't able to get in on the subscription, I take it there's no way to get these aside from Ebay?

I'm curious about this as well, does that mean retail?
