Where does the singular "I" come into place here? Companies don't stop putting out products based off of the opinions of one person. They make decisions based off of how many people will or will not buy a product, and it seems like they've come to the conclusion that enough people aren't particularly fond of the message that the Slave Leia merchandise is putting out there for it to no longer be worth it to make merchandise for that particular character. It's as much a business decision as it is a moral decision.

All arguments are about one side trying to convince the other of their position, or onlookers. Trying to make a case. I don't get to have that in the first place? The comics code did so much damage. Imagine if we actually had gotten bisexual Storm & Wolverine like Claremont wanted. But we never did. Even after the code stopped existing, people still didn't want to rock the boat with too many queer characters.

I find most people who complain about SJWs tend to be somewhat "Libertarian" identified(as in right wing libertarian, not Noam Chomsky style) and probably American, and they don't really understand how privilege works or that there are other ways to fuck things over other than outright banning something or holding a gun to someone's head. Negative vs. positive liberty, punch up vs. punch down, these are very important concepts to understand and most people just don't.

Also conservatives, not liberals(I'm not a liberal, i'm more of a left libertarian but i'm going to assume everyone here equates SJW with liberal), are more likely to ACTUALLY get things banned. Look at a banned book list sometime.

On a serious note: people are way too vocal in response to a gay character if they are against that, which may intimidate companies from making products or even more LGBT characters to begin with.

The "I" is part of my question, would you meaning you, be upset if I, meaning me, were to get something you, again meaning you, love banned, simple question. because at the end of the day all of the social activist groups are made of individuals, who from my experience tend to exclude the individual so they can make blanket statements. I want you to tell me how you'd feel if I banned something you love.
