I always forget about that Geonosis Arena; always been super pricey, but would love to use it as a Planet Hulk Gladiator arena.

Another homemade playset:

Pirates of the Caribbean had a few decent and often overlooked playsets.
Isla Cruces http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...sgbrzdtcw.jpeg Singapore Battle http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...syeyqveqw.jpeg Black Pearl http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...ssvzytrrz.jpeg |
Isla Cruces is a great playset. I picked one up a while back to be an abandoned building outside my castle structure.
Here is a bad picture of it right before I put it into storage before moving. I just started the slow process of un-packing my toys so I should have some updated pictures of it soonish. http://118archive.com/images/118/pot...xtras/isla.jpg |
I use both the Isla Cruces and Singapore Battle sets on my "water" level. The Isla serves as a GI Joe base, I took the big wheel out and made several modes on it adding screens, tables, guns, spotlights etc.. Even added a Playmobil dock in the front for the boats.
The Singapore set is used for Cobra, also made a few mods on it but nothing big, tower gun, fences etc... |

I've moved out the Star Wars stuff to my house so far. This is mostly my non-Star Wars stuff I am sorting though and logging. http://118archive.com/images/118/mis...torage4141.jpg http://118archive.com/images/118/mis...torage4142.jpg http://118archive.com/images/118/mis...torage4143.jpg http://118archive.com/images/118/mis...torage4144.jpg |
That's what most of my collection looks like; plastic containers! I just moved start of March and slowly working different toys out too.

There is also some good 3rd party options for Star Wars diorama pieces.
Hole in the Ground productions has some great kits that just need some paint. http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/images/bv04136.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/im...oxes%20web.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/images/bv04140.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/images/bv04143.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/images/bv01568.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/images/bv04176.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/im...%201%20web.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/im...ions%20web.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/im...wall%20web.jpg http://www.holeinthegroundpro.com/im...t%201%20sm.JPG |

Finally got my Schleich Castle out to take a few pictures with.
I think I'm going to need a bigger table... http://118archive.com/images/118/sch...le/castle2.jpg |
Yeah it's so huge; took me two tables to display mine. :)

Any one check out the jurrasic world tyrannosaurus escape set? Looks like it could be a good prison world or some such thing.
|
I haven't found myself in need of a prison quite yet but I would probably pass on that one because it is for the 2.5" minifigures and I am generally not a fan of those. In this instance I would probably get a Chap Mei playset similar, the old Jurassic Park playsets, or a Wrestling cage.
I'll add some comparison pictures in a little bit... While looking for new playsets I came across some cool Skylanders floating Islands that looked pretty cool. Not sure the scale on these though. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1000_.jpg http://www.toysrus.com/graphics/prod...te2_enh-z6.jpg |
Some more crazy Skylanders playsets. This one is supposed to be 21" tall.
http://www.toysrus.com/graphics/prod...2588enh-z6.jpg |
I'm always on the lookout for good storefronts.
I saw this online but haven't had a chance to see how well it scales. Paw Patrol Skye's Adventure Bay Town Playset Toys R Us exclusive http://www.toysrus.com/graphics/prod...4795enh-z6.jpg I also found similar set but it's a hardware store. Paw Patrol Adventure Bay Town Set with Marshall http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1000_.jpg |
I saw those in TRU, they are close.

I really like these display pieces. Its too bad you have to buy the figures...

Dammit I don't like that Gotham show at all but I really would like that Arkham Asylum gate for my DCC Arkham series figures.
