I agree on this point, but this is only true for the mass-market where the licence is what make the product go. Now you can find diversity & creativity from small manufacturers on Kickstarter.
Yeah, I hope to see more awesome small toy companies like in the 80's-90's. By the way, the mass-market created in the past it's own "licences", but now it's too lazy and doesn't think for long tarms, like the original g1 MLP ran for 10 years!

ow I don't agree. Lines like Hasbro's SW Black Series & ML are improving over time, NECA Funko & Mezco are also uping their games.
That's not playline market...

Yup...nearly a four hundred percent mark up on those Foot Clan sets, nearly exactly where I predicted it would go.

Licensing issues or not, this was an incredibly dick move by NECA. People can say I'm crying sour grapes all they want, but the way they are doing SDCC exclusives this year is foul. Way to reward a select few with incredibly deep pockets when the rest of us have been keeping your company going despite a history of shitty QC issues and even worse customer service.

I'm seriously considering boycotting furure NECA products because of this by the end of this year.

I bought an ebay set for 170 (shipping included) so it's not that impossible to get them but as the years past their prices on ebay will increase.
