Man, that figure looks fantastic!

They're killing it right now with their figures so far. I got their Mortal Kombat Scorpion and it might be one of my favorite figures in years. Quality, articulation and sculpt is beyond pretty much ANYTHING else in that scale or price point. Just steller all around.

I'm incredibly happy they gave him the pointing hands. That was the one thing I really hoping for and never expected them to make.

Oh man! Storm is knocking it out of the park. If only they can acquire the Tekken license, then they would have 3 out of the big 4 fighting games series. Just imagine.

This looks so much better than my Figuarts Chun-Li. Although that figure is great body wise, it's face is atrocious. It's too Anime and looks nothing like the actual game model's face. I despise Anime with passion, so I really don't like it.

Chun-Li's face looks red and puffy. Like she's been crying for hours. Or hasn't slept in days. I commented to Storm on Facebook the face paint needs tweaked, and they deleted my comment. Oh well.

I'll take red and puffy (though I don't see it), over paper cut-out of a generic anime-girl face any day.

Yeah I was really disappointed with how generic the Figuarts face looks.

Storm is blowing away SH Figuarts out of the water. this company competes with them.

The SDCC "hot" Ryu looks pretty damn good too. I'm gonna have to try to get that.

Just went back and picked up default Ryu and Bison, both of which are still available, though Zangief is sold out in most places -- good thing I PO'd him as soon as he was available.

Was going to cherry-pick Storm's SF line, but seeing how good Chun-Li looks, I'm going (almost) all in with this -- getting that Ken is a struggle, as that hair... uggg... I think I'll hold off on him. And hopefully getting Hot Ryu isn't going to be an issue, with it being SDCC.

Now I really hope they end up doing characters like DJ and Vega (though it's unlikely they'd do his classic outfit) and fan favs like Juri, who doesn't even have a figure yet.

And there's zero doubt they'll be doing Cammy somewhere down the line, and she's definitely going to get every repaint imaginable, and maybe even some retools to get the Alpha look, which than can be easily recolored for the other million dolls who aren't even in SFV. But you know, might as well.

Dude, they've deleted like 20-30 comments tonight alone about people hating the new Akuma figure. The comments weren't cussing or being vulgar, just fair criticism of the figure. haha

I was waiting on my Wife's family to get here before we head out to the beach and was just screwing around on facebook and they kept erasing comments lol. I made a joke about him having a mane and they erased my comment. I asked ''why is my comment gone and why are you erasing other comments of people?'' and got banned from commenting period lol.

Apparently, they only like comments that say how great their stuff is. That might have worked with their other awesome stuff because it was 99 percent positive but with this Akuma, it's 99 percent negative. At this rate.... there won't be any comments left lol.

I think so far Storm has been far more consistant with the game designs compared to SHF (note also that the game designs are not the prettiest out there to begin with). However, for Chun in particular I must say that the SHF figure is very aesthetically pleasing. Both Ryu's are disappointing in my opinion, and not only none captures his look in the game quite right but they also dont "look cool". Which is quite annoying, in its own right, cause I was expecting for a definitive modern Ryu figure.

Meh, at this point I have placed all my hopes on Storm's Cammy as the SHF approach seems to be very anime-like, completely contradicting how she appears in recent years.

I m still on the fence about Akuma. He seems ok but I already own the SOTA version so not sure if its worth purchasing.

I don't like the Figuarts Chun-Li's anime face... that's pretty much it.

The body is fantastic. The sculpt on that an articulation are top notch. I can understand the anime face being liked, if you like anime faces but I hate them lol. Never cared for the giant eyes, small mouths and almost non existent noses. Now, if it was game accurate, I'd be totally fine with the anime look.

I love the Figuarts Ryu but his eyes are too far apart and his face doesn't really look like the game. Plus, he's way to thin to actually represent Ryu from Street Fighter V. He looks more like Street Fighter II, which is still good in my opinion.

Articulation wise, Figuarts has Storm beat but beat barely.

Sculpt wise, paint wise and accuracy, hands down Storm in my opinion. I'll buy them all because I'm a huge Street Fighter fan and it's cool having two completely different designs of the same characters.

The more I look at the picture they released, the more it doesn't look like the mane is part of the head. It looks like it might just be a piece you put on the head. You can see shadow and a separation where the mane connects to the face.

Storm likes to save on plastic. I mean instead of giving us different heads like other companies, they give us faces to put on the head. I could see them cost saving and having the mane separate instead of giving us a classic look head.

If I'm wrong and we don't get a classic head..... well frick me running.
