Wait a minute, what? I said that a long time ago, people showed me the artwork for Beast from the late 70s to prove to me it would work and now you're saying it's too small? Make up your mind people.

Parademon1 09-10-2017 11:45 PM

Beast is 5'11 350 lbs. So current Jackal buck would be a bit too thin for Hank. A thicker buck at the same hgt scale would be perfect. No need to make a Hulk sized outta scale Beast. Wtf is it with people wanting larger versions of characters that are not supposed to be large in the 1st place!

Ben Grimm is 6ft tall as the Thing but people want him Hulk sized. Classic Green skin Hulk was always a 7 footer now people want him to be 8-9 ft tall cuz of the MCU. Thanos is 6'7 in the comics but people want him Hulk sized as well. WtF!

You act as if those characters weren't already getting progressively taller and taller over time completely uninfluenced by the MCU. Hell, Thing was already Hulk-sized back in '84!

"Classic Green-skin Hulk" started out a 7 footer, but gradually grew and grew. His height in the MCU was influenced by his height in the comics, not the other way around.

We are not a monolith, Kain. There've always been some people saying it was too small, and there've always been some people saying it was the right size. We didn't all collectively make up our minds in the beginning, then collectively change them later on.

Tell me how your post didn't try to imply that we all had basically one monolithic opinion that we later changed. Tell me. Because when I read it (and re-read it), that's what it was HEAVILY implying.

Haha no worries :P Although I am surprised that there wasn't much HTS exclusive figures to get this time around from both cons. Nothing that really screamed Want, maybe an SW figure I'm guessing for SW fans...

Because you are not reading it with a sarcastic undertone. It's not meant to be taking seriously.

...You do realize how hard it is to convey sarcasm on the internet, right? Unless there's some kind of italicization, or perhaps an emote next to it, it's incredibly hard to differentiate a serious statement from a sarcastic one. Never mind the fact that you've said stuff like that previously, entirely seriously as far as I can tell.

The burden is on the speaker to convey sarcasm, not on the listener to discern it when no indication is there.

My suggestion? Start italicising/etc. or putting an emote next to sarcastic statements.

Actually, quite a lot of what I say is not meant to be taken seriously.

graphyt 09-11-2017 10:02 PM

My main take away from this is Hank is short as hell.

Though if you go by this design/art I see why people want Sasquash retooled.

That's news to me, and probably at least a couple other people here.

Sorry that we didn't get it, but there are many times where people have said things like what you said, but entirely seriously, and without any normal text indicators of sarcasm, like italics or a sarcastic emote, it's incredibly hard to tell when someone is joking about it or not. Poe's law and all that.

How anyone would be asking for that version of Beast to be made is beyond me. His iconic 70s-80s-90s look is what should be made, not some version of whatever the heck that is supposed to be!

i'm with you on that ..i've borderline hated beast ever since whoever made him cat-like..back when he was following white queen or whatever. i like beast the old way. i would NOT buy that cat-beast figure..and i'm not even sure what THAT one is..

This version is the only one that needs to be re-done by Hasbro & no, the Sasquatch buck is not usable for this. A new 6 inch scaled buffer buck is what is needed for this iconic version of Beast. He never towered over any X-man save Logan.

And this pic shows you all you need to know that Beast is nowhere near the hgt that Sasquatch is. Beast is 5'11, Sasquatch 10ft tall! What part of that is so difficult for some of you to comprehend? Oh, I forgot, the ol "Well today's artist don't care about their listed hgts & just take creative artistic liberties with them" card.

warmachine6 09-15-2017 10:23 AM

Anyone noticed no bicep swivels on the female figures

VashTS 09-15-2017 10:26 AM

I was listening to JC from another TOysite and he said Hasbro was hinting at a BAF sentinel. But the problem seems to be, well at least to me is they want to spread it over 2 waves.

It would be better if they release that Large figure like they did that 15 inch Marvel Legends Hulk. Make it a single release rather than a BAF.

I don't see a Sentinel like that happening. We saw how well that worked for Mattel with Parallax. I agree, they should just do a 15 inch Sentinel. Isn't that the point of their large figures existing in the first place?

I'm all for a new classic Sentinels, but it has to be the classic DOFP Omega Sentinels & the Sentinels that were sent to capture the New mutants, not some never before seen crap design that looks nothing like a classic Sentinel. I think if Hasbro made the 2 different Sentinels in my pics, they would sell like hotcakes as many collectors would buy both versions to have triads of each. They would have to include some weapons accessories for the Sentinels such as attachable eyebeams & repulse blast type effect for their hands, maybe even the capture coils such as the original TB version came with. If that's too cost effective, then a set of open & closed fist hands or one of each. One thing is certain, they would have to be in the 15-16 scale to go well with the 6 inch scale, even though the DOFP Sentinels are 20 footers, I know we would not get 20 inch tall Sentinels. They already are selling giant sized versions of Spidey, Hulk, Thor, DP, Cap & IM, why not put them in that line?

EvilMonkeyPope 09-15-2017 11:57 AM

Thanos repaint is missing his gold codpiece!

Snowflakian 09-15-2017 03:21 PM

Definitely need to get that Thanos.

Love that spider-woman's new costume is getting a figure too! Wish it was in a scale I collected though.

Still, all around these are looking pretty awesome.

ToyCents 09-15-2017 04:58 PM

apocalypse and thanos look really good

Won't lie, if they do a size normal BAF Sentinel (8 to 10 inches), I'd like the Capcom styled one. As much as I want a properly sized one, they've done nothing so far that makes me think they'd even attempt it. I'd buy a couple single packed 15-20 inch ones in a heart be though
