DT Yellow is supposed to be out in February.

Also, Legacy Shogun was never announced. Hinted at, but never actually announced.

Honestly? I don't mind.

I never bought any of the Mattel figures - they always felt sub-par to me, even in regards to recent waves. I currently collect DC Collectibles, so really I just continue to collect that, or this new company surprises me with surprisingly well-made figures in the 6 inch scale. I'm sure 6-inch figures will continue in one way or another.

adcatalano 12-27-2018 12:09 AM

I don’t get why people are sleeping on Spin Master and being super dismissive of them. They are a huge company that makes a lot of money. They created Paw Patrol which is a massive cash cow. Sure they haven’t done much in the articulated figure area, but I doubt they can be much worse than Mattel. They made a big power move by getting this liscense

DCUC hasnt been around since 2014, the line ended as a MattyCollector exclusive series and was then brought back but re branded as DC Multiverse

What's Has-Con?

KingYuk 12-27-2018 09:02 AM

I think there's a better chance of seeing that Hasbro/Mattel merger finally go through before Hasbro loses Star Wars or Marvel.

Hasbro's own convention to promote their products. The Marvel Legends X-Force Deadpool was originally a Hascon exclusive back in 2017.

Dendric 12-27-2018 11:06 AM

Spin Master also makes the current TMNT figures for mass retail, and they are pretty good. I'm not expecting greatness but we'll see, could be interesting. I still can't believe Mattel was still using those outdated figure bucks.

SpasticPlastic 12-27-2018 11:12 AM

Playmates makes the TMNT toys, though.

You missed the part where it said that they're licensed to produce toys in the "boys' action category" (while Mattel retains "girl's toys" rights), I see. :p

It should have stayed that so we could have gotten a real figure in that wave.

I’m glad we got the xforce deadpool. The real dp fig that shoulda been replaced was the underwear deadpool. That one shoulda been the blue and orange xmen outfit dp.

DON'T get me started. Have you SEEN the current line?

tlasjr 12-27-2018 07:55 PM

I think the point almost everyone is missing is usually when pitching a major brand like DC the licensee will bring at least concepts of what they want to do with the brand so the license holder can see the brand will be well represented.
As a 1/18 collector Im thrilled. With matterl the license was dead to me. Im betting if the release non movie properties they will avoid 6 inch scale to avoid confusion with both products on store shelves at the sam ed time ed in the same scale.
Looks like their first outing will be be cyborg.

I couldn't be happier that Mattel lost the 6" DC rights. That company has been a joke for YEARS. Their mainstream products have been outright EMBARRASING compared to the last few years of Marvel Legends. I never understood how they could be so far behind in quality for so many years and STILL keep the liscense. I mean for f's sake they are JUST NOW using rocker ankles.

See ya Mattel!

Lol.

You’re trying too hard. A convention being cancelled isn’t quite the same as a toy retailer filing for bankruptcy, but nice reach. I know you’re sad that there will be far fewer DC toys, but there are several waves of Marvel Legends in circulation right now and we’ve seen several waves into the future. They’re gonna be just fine.
This Marvel vs. DC feud you perpetuate is kind of schoolyard. No one cares.

God no. I can't even get anyone to buy the grey Deadpool as it is, the last thing I would need would be his retarded cousin also in my metaphorical garbage bin.

I have no interest in X-Force DP.

I'd buy X-Men blue and yellow DP in a heartbeat.

hasbroherofan 12-28-2018 12:48 AM

X-Men uniform DP is an instabuy from me as well.

Tomax 12-28-2018 01:40 AM

come on guys, give spin master a chance. their paw patrol line has 50 points of articulation and are quite good.

TheBlueMarvel 12-28-2018 11:12 AM

Well, all this talk did inspire me to nab the Lobo wave last night. Here's to new beginnings, but before all that, scooping up the best of what's left of Multiverse: Mammoth, Beast Boy, Starfire, Black Canary, Katana, Simon Baz, John Stewart, variant Ray, Nightwing, and even 'authoritarian'-crew cut-Aquaman (or whatever that thing is). Mattel and DCUC will continue to take up prime real estate in my collection. DCUC remains one of the greatest toy lines of all time.

User897 12-29-2018 04:09 AM

Spin Master was the obvious choice after seeing how well they handled TRON: Legacy. SMFH.

ToyAddict 12-29-2018 07:03 AM

I could count on one hand the number of DC figures I've bought since DCUC ended. But there are finally figures I've been looking forward to in the future waves. . .most of the Lobo wave, Black Canary, Katana, Ninja Batman, and probably most of all Bizarro. Hope these don't get canceled!
