They finally cleared the air, the weapons rack is totally unpainted now, but better what they were going to do at first anyway.

That's good as far as the figures are concerned since they can use their accessories without required plastic maintenance, but now there's a slab of plastic included I have absolutely no need for.

But that’s probably the best we can get.

I love the little turtle accessory that comes with Splinter, I don't want Splinter but I'd love four of those.

The little tea cup with the sculpted steam coming out of it is genius. Genuinely one of my favorite accessories I’ve seen on a figure ever.

Too bad I really don’t care about this figure and don’t think I could use it with anything else.

Yeah I agree, it's for the best but now the weapons sprue looks dumb like you said, but accurate I guess.

Vamp 10-09-2019 08:47 PM

I wanna get that Splinter and ill put a Batman decal on the coffee mug (who gets the reference)

Good grief. If I'm ever feeling down, I'll come to you.

@RamenRider you kinda seem like a negative person/downer. Seems like @Spooked was being sarcastic. I'm just happy we have these or something Turtles based on vintage stuff. I wonder what the packaging will look like. I didn't care about the weapons not being perfect. So will we have two weapons racks.

Yeah, I was happy before. I'm sure some people will paint the second weapons rack. It good to be positive

Well, one could say, it's negative sarcasm.....ramen liked an accessory but had no use for the figure. So you tell the guy he's a downer and you wouldn't want to be around him? How is that funny or have anything to do with ramens comment?

If no one criticizes anything, things might not change for the betterment of everybody. Just because you're already happy doesn't mean you should interfere with others trying to get what they want.

It's not personal, it's business.

SHF has the best turtle team on the market. (Yeah, I'll say it again and again, feel free to continue criticizing me) You own that set? You happy with those? I was, but it didn't matter because nobody else was and the line came to a severe halt.

Would I rather have had a few changes or additions added to those figures based off of all the criticisms so they sold better and more figures came out??? Absolutely!
People warned them the head scuplt was too toony, SHF didn't listen, and now it's over. Totally amazing figures, down the tubes. 30, 40 bucks on sale....a damn shame.

So please people, criticize freely!!!!

The more buyers, the more figures. You want more of these figures right? I do.

I never said anything about being around RamenRider and I never said anything about it being funny. You should read what people write before posting stuff. I'm glad u enjoy your S.H Figuarts line, or Turtles, they are nice. I was trying to help clarify why @Spooked said he would go to him for help, perhaps he was being sarcastic. I'm not really sure what your complaining about.

The “issue” with it is that Bandai has toy production ADHD. They start a license, show tons of figures, then quit after 3 or 4. I think the longest license they’ve supported is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that also has gaping holes in the roster.

The Barnes in my area couldn't move the SH Figuarts Turtles at all. Unlike more popular Figuarts, these are fairly easy to find for below retail price.

I have to agree with them being shelf warmers. The MSRP was $60 I believe. $240 is a lot for the set. I got a new set for $120 from Megapolois during a sale which was great.

But it's all relative, I'm paying $80 per Mafex figure and am fine with it haha.

I really don't think it's ADHD with Bandai, if something sells (like DBZ) they pound out releases. I really feel like Star Wars is lacking for them and they basically only make some stuff just to do something with the license. They have a ton of prototypes they haven't done anything with.

They languished for over a year, easily, in the 2 Philly areas Barnes I go to. The Toy Source was selling them for $45 (they still have Mikey), BBTS still has Mikey and Donnie for $47 each. So they can still be found pretty easily if people want to pick them off from different stores.

I understand the lack of villains, because Figuarts is a Japanese-aimed brand, and typically sales of villains are minimal compared to hero characters. Ninja Turtles is the same way. The 4 turtles are done, so in Bandai's eyes, the brand is done. Yeah, they showed the villains as prototypes, but I think they were "proof of concept" not legitimate figures, since there was TONS of support for them. Even people who didn't collect Figuarts wanted them, because the Playmates Shredder and android Krang were horrible toys. Popularity was definitely not a factor in shelving them. Just like they shelved Vision of the MCU, and many others. Bandai just jumps around like crazy.

Storm Collectibles seems to do the same thing now.

I just think you're flat out wrong. I hardly see anyone posting pics of the SHF TMNT figures, 90%+ are using the NECA cartoon turtles on their shelves. What company in their right mind doesn't produce figures for lines that sell well?

Bandai is one of the biggest toy companies in the world for a reason, they know what sells and what to make.
