They cracked the case. NECA couldn't finish Ultimate Wolf because they were basing their entire design process off a single obscure photograph of a prototype (which they obviously didn't simply have on hand). Wow. Mystery solved. It's like how NASA lost all the telemetry and relevant data on the moon landings- hence why they've never returned. Who knew! :mad2 |

Would have meant a bit more. I will say they are bright and colorful and only a matter if time till someone makes 12 inch versions of killer Klowns or smaller. My money is on Trick or Treat doing so. |

We need like every single variant of every single character from every single obscure interpretation of these complex characters and creatures in roughly 3-4 different color variants before we can even consider moving on!!!! Some people man.... :bow :raph |

Six, long, long years ago. Like can I just buy the prototype for an exorbitant price? I swear they're doing this on purpose to spite those of us who aren't jumping head first full speed on the TMNT train. Like I'm sorry okay? I'm sorry!!! I've tried- I've really tried. Anthropomorphic sword/stick wielding amphibians just don't do it for me. I know- call me crazy but I've done all I can to bend my taste. It just won't budge. |

Like if this is the last Predator figure they release I can die happy. Literally all I'm asking for is a tiny scrap in comparison to the TMNT behemoth... |

Seriously though I get your frustration, my interest in TMNT is fairly minimal so to see like 80% of their new stuff being from a cartoon that has no draw for me is a bummer. My silver lining is that with NECA's ever-rising prices there being so few figures I'm interested in makes it easier on the wallet. |

However, my only silver lining is that with every TMNT figure released we inch that much further to Wolf. Only two to three more miles to go... :o |
The Mirage stuff looks incredible. They've got me hooked, dammit.

I totally understand Neca pushing the tmnt hard. For so long, it was a brand in a very walled garden. There was nothing tmnt unless it was playmates (who literally own the toy rights… they aren’t just a licensor). Somehow, Viacom was able to make Playmates see the profitability and benefit for opening the doors to the garden. Tmnt fans are finally getting the toys we’ve always wanted. The original playmates line wasn’t animation accurate or comics accurate either… it was just its own thing. Now fans of the animation get their perfect turtles. Fans of the arcade get their perfect turtles. Fans of the comics are finally getting updated versions of the original turtles (I know a lot of people call these “IDW” turtles, but they look just like the Eastman-Laird art from my 80’s graphic novels III and IV). These are excellent options for those who either don’t want the ko set that’s been around for years or want a set that shows the continued evolution of tmnt.
Overall, I think Neca has done a great job of balancing product and offering a wide assortment of IPs. 5 years ago I would have never imagined They Live figures. I remember years ago all I ever saw that was Neca were Alien, Predator, and horror film figures. Now they have all sorts of lines, and many of the brands actually get fairly deep picks… it’s been fascinating to see the brands Neca has chosen produce. I’m a huge fan of the 30’s Universal monsters, and seeing the figures on the shelf, and even seeing the eyes of kids as well as old farts like me light up when they see these retro “villains” gives me hope for the future generations. Also, Bob Ross figures?!?! Neca is definitely “Made for geeks by geeks.” Love them! (This is 100% genuine opinion of Neca, I’ve never received a penny from them) |

Deactivative your almonds, this ain't something to get so worked up over. Toys are meant to be fun! |
So much hate for TMNT on this thread, the fact that Neca are going deep with obscure characters shows the line is selling well for them, and whether you like them or not, these are amongst the most source material accurate figures out there, and they just look good. I understand people wanting stuff that suits them and their interests, but reading some of these comments just made me feel bad for actually wanting to collect the obscure animated figures.

Maybe they stopped doing it because they realized nobody wants a shitty ass figure from such a shitshow of a movie. |

I'm not collecting TMNT but I'm sure enjoying seeing it all. Some happy nostalgia from how deep NECA been going in for it all and I'm glad those who want them all and can afford them all. It's a lot more colourful and varied to look at than when it felt like all NECA did was Alien and Predator things. And I loved those movies (the first couple of each, obvs. lol). I can't even tell most Xenos apart. Same with Preds. :) |

You can afford all that? blimey. |
So is NECA going to reveal anything new this weekend beyond what was shown the other night?
