McFarlane Marvel Posed Figures – 1/6 and 1/10 Scale Pre-Orders Live
I grabbed 1/6 spidey. No clue where I'm gonna put it, but will give it a shot. I like the McFarlane-y Spider-Man style, so this is a good one off for me. |
Spidey 1/6 Cover!!!...
Me will "Pre-Pre" this dude.. Nice McF ;^) |

Music Maniacs being $24.99 is pretty lame given that their other 6" limited articulation line (Batman 66) is almost $10 less per figure.

The '90s Movie Maniacs had ground breaking phenomenal sculpting! What happened around 30 years later to get these soft sculpts and reduction in size for around 3x the price?
Movie Maniacs relaunch and Music Maniacs are both around 5" in height. McFarlane's Batman 1966 is more in scale with Marvel Legends which seems like another downer for these "Maniacs" pricing. Although as an example both Freddy Mercury and Slash real height is 5'10" so technically they could be considered the correct 6 inch scale like figuarts is, Marvel Legends is slightly larger than an actual 1:12 / 6 inch scale, that said I don't believe McFarlane looks at the proper height between real actor/musician vs figure as all of them appear more like 5"... I used to love collecting that 5 inch Walking Dead line from McFarlane. I haven't displayed them in several years-they're all in a tote. I'm not sure if I will feel the need to collect more-certainly not these initial 4-but it's cool to see them again.

I dunno why todd inst just releasing these medieval spans at retail. Hell he was popular and one could not find him easily. These are cool but not really something that should be crowd funded.

yep these are full on reissues of the old line. i don't mind it but would have liked new paint or better heads because man Daryl and Merle do not look like the actors.

If they get some good sculpts I would like to get Alpha, Beta and Lydia... especially Alpha. |
Ill back the standard versions as i dont need all that signed garbage. Really just want the classic red n blue version. The others ill just hang on the wall in my office.

Medieval Spawn looks cool and all, but when you see the photo side-by-side with the 1995 figure it just kind of makes me wish they tried translating that than doing a totally updated design.
|
Am i the only one who finds spawn’s collar blowing to the right kind of irritating? If you have him looking straight, there’s a collar in his face. The only way to get him to have a clean profile is to have him look slightly right
|
A couple of the pictures show both sides going straight up so maybe it's softer plastic or slightly bendable? Either way a little bit of heat from a hair dryer should fix it.
|
Yeah, I don't like this update. It doesn't match the original design, it's way too busy with details, & looks more Renaissance than Medieval.
