Apparently that doesn't matter, he didn't draw the Deadpool or Iron Man covers those pieces are based on either.

Harbinger 07-11-2024 02:48 PM

These aint figures theyrw statues.

snake5289 07-11-2024 02:57 PM

So disappointing. I really wanted a Ghost Rider to go with my Spawn figures.

McFarlane Marvel Posed Figures – 1/6 and 1/10 Scale Pre-Orders Live

I grabbed 1/6 spidey. No clue where I'm gonna put it, but will give it a shot. I like the McFarlane-y Spider-Man style, so this is a good one off for me.

ghostbogey 07-18-2024 11:01 AM

Spidey 1/6 Cover!!!...

Me will "Pre-Pre" this dude..
Nice McF ;^)

No, you are not alone. Putting them out w/ reprint comics of their origins &/ or first appearences, would actually make me more likely to buy them.

Music Maniacs - Slash and Freddie Mercury Figures by McFarlane Toys

https://www.toyark.com/wp-content/up...ie-Mercury.jpg

StudioOneTwelve 08-07-2024 05:30 AM

Music Maniacs being $24.99 is pretty lame given that their other 6" limited articulation line (Batman 66) is almost $10 less per figure.

ghostbogey 08-07-2024 05:37 AM

Not into...
these McF "Band" figs...

However....
Me will do...
a "Slash" for sure!!!! ;6)

Dolemite 08-08-2024 02:10 PM

Freddie looks like he's saying "DOOOYYYYYYY"

Never thought slash could get uglier….yet mcfarlane did it.

The '90s Movie Maniacs had ground breaking phenomenal sculpting! What happened around 30 years later to get these soft sculpts and reduction in size for around 3x the price?

Movie Maniacs relaunch and Music Maniacs are both around 5" in height.
McFarlane's Batman 1966 is more in scale with Marvel Legends which seems like another downer for these "Maniacs" pricing.

Although as an example both Freddy Mercury and Slash real height is 5'10" so technically they could be considered the correct 6 inch scale like figuarts is, Marvel Legends is slightly larger than an actual 1:12 / 6 inch scale, that said I don't believe McFarlane looks at the proper height between real actor/musician vs figure as all of them appear more like 5"...

I used to love collecting that 5 inch Walking Dead line from McFarlane. I haven't displayed them in several years-they're all in a tote. I'm not sure if I will feel the need to collect more-certainly not these initial 4-but it's cool to see them again.

Harbinger 08-15-2024 02:44 PM

I dunno why todd inst just releasing these medieval spans at retail. Hell he was popular and one could not find him easily. These are cool but not really something that should be crowd funded.

Mine are also boxed up. Are these even new sculpts? They look like they were from arcs of the show already covered.

BLACKBAT18 08-16-2024 10:41 AM

yep these are full on reissues of the old line. i don't mind it but would have liked new paint or better heads because man Daryl and Merle do not look like the actors.

Thanks, that's what I suspected. Daryl looks ok to me, but yeah... Merle.. not so much.

If they get some good sculpts I would like to get Alpha, Beta and Lydia... especially Alpha.

Harbinger 08-20-2024 07:14 AM

Ill back the standard versions as i dont need all that signed garbage. Really just want the classic red n blue version. The others ill just hang on the wall in my office.

I grabbed the Standard Trilogy. I don't care about autographs in general from any aspect, but I somehow have like 20 things singed by McFarlane. I didn't need to pay another 100+ for the 2 extra signatures.

StudioOneTwelve 08-25-2024 01:06 AM

Medieval Spawn looks cool and all, but when you see the photo side-by-side with the 1995 figure it just kind of makes me wish they tried translating that than doing a totally updated design.

Cobra1 08-25-2024 09:12 AM

Am i the only one who finds spawn’s collar blowing to the right kind of irritating? If you have him looking straight, there’s a collar in his face. The only way to get him to have a clean profile is to have him look slightly right

snake5289 08-25-2024 10:37 AM

A couple of the pictures show both sides going straight up so maybe it's softer plastic or slightly bendable? Either way a little bit of heat from a hair dryer should fix it.

EvilMonkeyPope 08-25-2024 11:01 AM

Yeah, I don't like this update. It doesn't match the original design, it's way too busy with details, & looks more Renaissance than Medieval.
