Is anyone having issues with the torsos from these guys? I have two which just easily come apart...

Yeah I've seen lots of QC problems posted on a bunch of different sites.
Can you glue it back together?

Symbiote 10-21-2011 01:13 PM

The joints reminds me of the marvel showdown figures. If the peg didn't break off you can use crazy glue to strengthen up the ball socket joint or try heating the plastic and remold the joint ( I never tried this though).

It's weird, it' actually double jointed.

So you have the top half of the body and the lower half of the body.

Inbetween is suppose to be this bar with two balls on each side. Each body cavity has it;s own socket.

So I have one figure who's bottom torso joint is too loose and another which is the opposite.

Blood 10-22-2011 06:53 AM

with all this about the QC, I'm starting to getting second thoughts about getting this, considering that this are not gonna show up here

Tarquinius 10-22-2011 07:06 AM

I'm not regretting what I bought. I bought 3/4 sets, and I think the Fuetes set will probably be around more then the other 3.

As playable action figures, they arent the greatest. But for Marvel v. Capcom dioramas or set ups, they are amazing!!!!

boombatty 10-22-2011 07:53 AM

My Blanka doesnt stay together at the chest, and his right hand wont stay in (either of them) and his right foot is so loose he cant be posed.
My Guile had his upper arms backwards and they cant be fixed based n how they add the articulation in the shoulder and printed the American Flags. The paint on the Foot joint came off when moved.
My Ken's foot broke off first time standing.

Unfortunately I never should have bothered to buy them in the first place I think.

vampireheart 10-22-2011 12:39 PM

Man i hope when i get the ken/blanka pack i dont get one with that bad of QC, sorry to hear that.

CLASSIFIED 10-22-2011 01:45 PM

I hope the Guile/ Abel 2 pack I get to replace the one that broke isn't as crappy quality wise as the first one I got.

BlackMagnus 10-22-2011 02:17 PM

Sick pics vampireheart! Awesome PS skills man.

TheLoudMaster 10-22-2011 02:43 PM

I just got the Ryu and Sagat set after patiently waiting for a restock.

These things are pretty solid, although my Ryu's right knee is loose right out of the package. It keep swiveling around.

I don't really know what else to say about these guys. They're fairly solid and have a decent range of articulation, but I wish Jazwares would push the limits on these things and try to be on par with MU.

perrych 10-22-2011 03:49 PM

I got 3 of the 4 packs. Sagat is the only one I'm having trouble with - his leg keeps slipping out of the hip socket. Tried super glue and heat, and it seems to just hold in place for standing but I wouldn't dare try to pose it dynamically. The others are great.

thanks brother, and to everyone else thats having issues with QC of the figures it appears to be really scattered because I got El Fuerte and Seth pack and his hands are super loose almost wont stay on but the Ken Blanka I got was really well put together, Ken was almost as perfect as an MU really solid but his knee wouldn't bend so instead of forcing it im going to give a few tips to help alleviate some of the QC and hopefully make these guys a bit better. I know we shouldn't have to fix a figure right out the package, toy companies should make solid figure from the jump but the world aint perfect.

TIP 1: If and when you cant move a joint smoothly DO NOT force it, instead run the figure area under really hot water or use a tiny portable heater to soften the plastic. If that doesnt work use an exaco knife or thin blade and wedge it in between the joints some of these figures are really coated with paint all the way around and sometimes get stuck together. It appears that they may have gotten wind of people complaining about the joints and they last minute painted them to conceal the actual joint color (not cool).

TIP: 2 Crazy glue works wonders on pegs if you have a loose hand on a figure coat the mushroom tip end of the peg with some glue and it will stay in 90% of the time better than before.

That said I hope we get E. Honda, Dhalsim, Zangief, Chun-Li and M. Bison before this line is over.

Does anybody have Vega?
I saw him on the back of the original series boxes, but nothing as of yet.
Also there's a D-viper too.

Awesome tips my friend, Crazy Glue should be in every collectors tool box.

Just started collecting Street Fighter figures myself. Got a NECA Ryu and a SOTA Blanka. I still can't decide which line to get, but it looks like it will be SOTA. Too bad it's too damn expensive... May be impossible to collect.

Autobot_Goldbug 05-20-2012 07:27 PM

The single carded figures have shown up in Mexico.

Apparently they have vastly improved on the QC according to the buyer.
Look at Ryu's headband. Now it is completely painted unlike the one in the previous pics.

Yeah the Sota figures are great.

I've been recently collecting them.

They are expensive as hell though. I've been buying alot of them with a Paypal charge but it's hard paying this much for figures but they are great.

I never seen any of these other then Series 4 in stores and all they had by then was Gen, Adon and I passed. I bought M. Bison MOC from Ebay about 3 years or 4 from a seller for 65 and he threw in Vega and Guile with all accessories. I got lucky and found two Zangiefs and E. Honda on clearance at FYE a couple years ago for 5 bucks each.

I just recently bought Ryu, Cammy MOC, Sagat MOC, Chun-Li MOC, Akuma MOC and I'm waiting for a package from Dragonspaw on Marvelousnews for Ken, Feihong and the Revolutions Ryu and I got all three of those for 36 bucks shipped.

Going to collect the whole line's regular figures but it's getting quite expensive, even more then Legends.

Here's what I have so far.

http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...9/101_0575.jpg

I added a different head for my Guile. Guile's my second favorite Street Fighter character after M. Bison but I don't care for his hair. I hate stylized Japanese hair styles in games or animated shows. I also used his metal dog tags for a Marvel Select Wolverine Movie figure so I gave Guile some other Dog Tags. In hindsight I wish I hadn't did that because I had that Wolverine figure put up and now I can't find the dog tags anywhere.

If anyone's wanting to sell their Sota or Neca Street Fighters holler at me.

Shin Densetsu 05-21-2012 07:55 AM

How much does SOTA Sagat sell for now? I should've collected the line more back in the day. I only have Bison, Sodom, Ryu, T hawk, Cammy and Adon.

How does Revolutions Ryu stack up with regular Ryu?
