Geezus man.. he shares Dooms plastic prison in the two pack.. you think youd at least look into who this bald dude is that Doom is two timing on you with!

PS. If you read "Secret Wars" ..starring DOOM.. you SHOULD know who Creel is! :p

Jason Abbadon 10-18-2011 02:52 PM

Well..Creel is working for Doom in Doomwat...so I guess you've failed your Latveran Leige y not knowing!

Incidently, the short story your avatar is from "Always Doom" is the single best Doom story ever written.

If only we got that awesome Goblin Armor Norman was wearing!

I dont care who came with him in the cp,I also didnt go looking who that insect fairy lookin thing that came in the pack was either.

Jason Abbadon 10-18-2011 02:56 PM

Er...Doomwar!

I can do a lot of things well, but typing aint one of them.

bmorr 10-18-2011 02:59 PM

then why do you even collect these figures? your reasoning is pretty frustrating. For that matter, how many of you here buy these figures not knowing who they are in the comics?

Hold up dog, first off why do you question ones reasoning simply because they dont know EVERY tidbit of info about EVERY character?second,I mainly collect Doom and Vader and challenge you to question my knowledge of the 2,since you asked!

bmorr 10-18-2011 03:05 PM

alright fine i didnt know you only collected specific figures. how should i know? jeez. No need for pistols at dawn.

D00MTR0N 10-18-2011 03:10 PM

seriously, does anyone know what jason was talking about with that short story called "always Doom"?

I was just joking.. hopefully that came through.

BUT.. I must insist that you read SECRET WARS if you are really a Doom fan.. its must have stuff.. he really takes center stage in the 12 issues featuring just about every A and B list Hero/Villain in the Marvel UNiverse.

Plus you get to see Spidey get his black suit..which becomes Venom

Plus You get to see the Wrecking Crew.. well.. wreck She-Hulk.

Plus you get Galactus.

I have read it,and own the whole series.

btw,I take it no one but jason has heard of that "always Doom" story then?

D00MTR0N 10-18-2011 04:06 PM

frustrating to say the least...

trebleshot 10-19-2011 08:26 AM

I think "Always Doom" was a Fantastic Four story arc, but don't quote me on that.

I don't think anyone has used the card art on the front to determine which version was the variant or regular release.

Quote:

Artwork shows white gloves, yet the figure has black gloves. Now this one is not the variant because the picture of the actual figure on the back has black gloves.
Punisher does not have a variant. There were two separate releases in different waves with different numbers on their packaging. Definitely not the same thing as Flame-Off Johnny or Absorbing Man.

Quote:

Bottom line, to me, the variant is when the figure doesn't match the picture of the figure that is on the back of the package. So for the absorbing man, the metal skin version is the Normal one and the skin color on is the variant.

And this is what I have on Toyark's MU checklist, for the same reason.

I never even heard of this creel person, who is it?

He's a petty criminal imbued with the ability to physically alter his form by touching any type of material he touches. He was given this ability by Loki in order to make Creel into decent muscle to beat up on Thor. At first, he wasn't in control of his ability, and he'd turn into anything he touched against his will.

Nope, I don't think it exists. Nothing comes up on any of the Marvel comics databases.

I don't think he's human any longer. He's imbued with Asgardian magic, so I'd say he's more like an Asgardian creature. Though you could say that any one version of his body really isn't his true body, since it's in a constant state of flux.
