I thought it was borderline awful at best below average. Didn't think the kid belonged and the great white good ninja idea went a little far in that. Not enough dialog and action for both Jackie Chan and Jet Li in it.

I agree. It was the typical scenario where two superstars were paired together by people who didn't know what the hell to do with them. What's worse, it wasn't even a proper Martial Arts flick. It was a kid friendly family film with an american teenager as the main character and Jackie Chan and Jet Li, though they headlined the movie, were treated as supporting characters. Unfortunately, this will make a possible future pairing of the two somewhat ill-received as this will be the reference point that people will be using.

My sentiments exactly, come on, that white american scrawny kid with his shirt off as the main focus of the movie while you have two martial arts legends standing by watching that sillyness, haha.

*snip*

Dude, These were some of the first Kung Fu flicks I watched as a kid! Thanks for that.

Also, I agree with your earlier statement about not liking Jackie Chan all that much, with the exception of Drunken Master...except I preferred his original 1978 film of Drunken Master.

He was in peak condition for this (as skinny as he was) and I felt he really displayed the art well in this. The one you posted was definitely produced better and had a better story though.

Sub-Zero is half-Chinese. Scorpion is Japanese.
