old I believe

MGTAJ 02-14-2012 03:02 PM

If any of you lads want a Silver Centurion Iron Man or an Iron Spiderman MOC hit me up; willing to do a trade or sell if you want 'em

TheTooN 02-15-2012 04:31 AM

I hit Derby TRU a couple of days back. More to kill a few minutes while waiting for Maccy D to switch over to their Lunch menu than out of any hope of finding anything. They had a couple of pegs of MU but still stuck on the Bucky wave. No surprise really.

Tesco stores in Long Eaton and Toton have not had any new MU since the Cable wave and I didnt see any in either.

What did make me laugh out load was seeing TONS of unsold Thor 3.75 at the eye watering price of £10.99 each..........and Cap at £11.99 !!! What planet are they living on ?

Panthro1978 02-15-2012 05:08 AM

I've just had an unusual sighting - Cap and Iron Man Quad Bike toys in Avengers packaging. The space next to them, for the 3.75" figures, was empty however. Wilko's in Liverpool.

That's more than FP.

Panthro1978 02-16-2012 05:21 AM

Just picked up Steve Rogers Super Soldier in FP. Was tempted to get the MU Winter Soldier too but resisted.

My local TRU has about 20 MU Winter Soldiers and about 2 Iron Patiots, they've got to put them on clearance at some point if you want me to keep an eye on it.

I imagine the situation is pretty similar in most TRUs?

Must admit that my TRU is a Marvel wasteland.

Again, you guys should try to ask Arkers to help you out. I'm sure there are at least a few US guys that would be willing to help you out but you'll have to cover the crazy shipping.

Alienweirdo 02-17-2012 02:29 AM

Just a hypothetical question, but what do you UK chaps think of a Facebook group/Fan page for UK MU collectors? Just to make things easier in terms of discussion and networking, reconnaissance and hunting etc?

Not that I want to take people away from here (this place is great for info and discussions with people across the pond, not just about MU either), but since there is a distinct lack of UK Marvel toy sites I thought that it might be a good way to get more UK enthusiasts together to help each other out etc, as we have quite a hard time finding these toys. Obviously it wouldn't be exclusive to Uk people, just focused.

As I say, it's hypothetical as I don't know how much time I'd personally be able to dedicate to administration of the page and stuff, and I have no idea how to build a website and I don't really want to rent a forum. If it doesn't seem worth it then it doesn't matter :)

I'd probably join a Facebook group.

I'm sure that a few of the other guys already have traded with fellow Arkers across the water (and we all appreciate that you guys are willing to do somewhat "risky" business with lads in a foreign country), but sometimes the deal breaker is the "crazy" shipping.
Shipping a figure carded around the UK is only like £3 so paying that + UK costs is sometimes cheaper than getting a good deal from an American Arker but getting screwed with shipping to here. By spotting what we have seen on our daily travels, it helps us to get the best deal possible.

Also, I'd be up for a facebook group to recruit as many UK'ers as possible, it should help with sightings and such

Hulk97 02-17-2012 10:04 AM

i dont tend to look for MU but the latest figures ive seen were Doctor Strange and WW2 Cap. Both in Tesco Extra's. They had a Cyclops and Namor too but they've gone.

That's great, I've sent a request :)

I was thinking of MU Action figure Specific, but I'll see how the group pans out.

Alienweirdo 02-19-2012 01:36 PM

Popped into Asda's Bexleyheath, South East. They had Iron Man, Captain America and Thor movie figures for £5 each, including Movie Whiplash, Red Skull, Sif, Odin, Destroyer and Frost Giants.

Picked up Sif and a Frost Giant :)

MGTAJ 02-19-2012 01:51 PM

Was just about to post this news. Picked up WarMachine, Crossbones and Red Skull for 5 each which is a total bargain.

PrimeWolf 02-21-2012 04:18 PM

So is anyone going to the London Super Comic Convention this weekend?

London Super Comic Convention - Home

Stan Lee will be there! But he's charging an obscene amount of money for his autograph...
