Pretty cool! That's like the level of care that only a small mom & pop store would ever do. Good show McFarlane. |
Oh, that is really considered of Todd. :)

Popeye figures from Amazon, found Casey at Walmart, and a couple repaints I did recently. These will probably be my last new figures of the year. (Hopefully not.)

Is that Deathstroke custom made from Geralt?

I've been thinking about the last year in collecting for me and what the future may hold. It's been interesting to see how just over the last couple years my focus has shifted and I'm buying less of some companies and more of others. My collection was usually DC Direct and NECA. I never went into a Walmart or Target to look for toys. Now, I'm in both every day. Sometimes multiple times. It's insane. Until G.I. Joe Classified, Hasbro didn't make a stitch of plastic I was interested in. And, likewise, until the MOTU Origins line, Mattel was not for me. (I know it's blasphemy, especially for a DC fan like myself, but I hated 90% of DCUC stuff.)
Here's a rundown of what I bought this year, from the bigger companies. I've excluded Jada, DST, Boss Fight, etc. Mostly, because there were just a few things and probably will not account for a large portion of my collection anyway. Also, these are releases. A 2 pack or 4 pack is still just 1 release, so figure totals will be higher than these numbers. Also, I didn't count any multiples of anything. At one point, I had 6 Classified B.A.T.S., but I only counted it once. Mafex- 6 Super7- 12 Hasbro- 21 Mattel- 36 NECA- 51 McFarlane- 229 It's really weird to me that I almost bought as much from Mattel as I did NECA. I guess nostalgia is a helluva thing, eh? |
The new toys look great. Popeye's series is finally out. It's great to see it here. I'm sure it would look great in your collection. My Bluto figure is still missing from my collection. I need to buy 1. :)
By the way, happy new year and I wish you a healthy year. |

I don't even know how you count. You got a spreadsheet? My collection this year went into the shelve with other in the same movie/theme and blended in. However, that number is impressive!

I've always liked Deadman. Don't know about that O-Face Aquaman though.

What's with Evilyn's Halloween bat costume?
Growing up, I've always found Roboto kind of out of place, all these muscle men/women in loincloths and sword and axe and then you have a robot. But then all their vehicles are sort of advanced too, including Strider. NICE, Mafex Harley. And space guns! |

I need some McFarlane stuff to drop soon, so I can stop buying other stuff just to scratch the itch.

Those Invincible figures look cool.

Anyway, that Last of Us set is actually pretty nice. I was very tempted, but not at full price. I'll probably get it when it's on sale. Invincible Figures look cool, as already mentioned. Alf: Cat sandwich included? I'm surprised PETA hasn't go after NECA. |
