Guessing at least part of it is that Target FINALLY learned their lesson and limited them to 1 each.

Perhaps the recent Bludd clots on Target shelves also discouraged scalpers from competing for stocks.

I had no idea Target was putting BBQ and Breaker up for preorder yesterday, so imagine my amazement when I managed to preorder BBQ. Breaker was a no go, but that wasn't surprising.

Breaker was available from 1pm to around 5pm yesterday on Target.com, with that amount of people that was able to place an order, that should increase your chance of finding one in stores when he comes out.

Target finally found out how to kill the bots. HISSTANK people reported that any attempt at ordering a second one on the same account/address gets immediate order cancellation message.

I wonder how come Breaker is so wanted... is it because of the RAM? Or just because he is an exclusive. Paying $40+ for someone like Breaker is hard for me to stomach... even though I would probably buy him if I saw him. To me the essentials Joes are Hawk, Flint, Duke, Scarlett, Jaye, SE, Falcon, Beach, Stalker and Cover Girl. Pretty much everyone else is 2nd tier.

How is Roadblock 2nd tier but Beachhead gets listed among top-billing?

^ Yah, that is pretty much my childhood lineup. I am one of those kids that loved G.I. Joes, but never really cared about the comics or the cartoon... I only liked the toys. Also growing up I actually never had a Snake Eyes figure because I could never find him in the store... so I just learned to live with out him. That's why even now I would barely classify SE as essential to my Joe team.

I think you answered your own question. With a huge diverse cast of characters as GIJoe, I think a lot of what make certain character our favorites depends a lot on context. Breaker being one of the original 13, was always there in the beginning, blowing bubble gum. He's the radio guy, as Dial Tone's filecard would say "The cavalry ain't comin' until the man with the radio tells 'em to.", so he's vital to all the ops too. Without the comics or the cartoon to get to know the character, I can see why you wouldn't understand why Breaker's so wanted.

^ I actually totally forgot Breaker was part of the OG13... and I actually absorbed a lot of Joe knowledge from my time over at Hisstank, but forgot about it all since I haven't been there in so long. LOL.

Does anyone still need a Major Bludd?

Not speaking for everyone, but Bludd was readily available in most stores and was online for shipping for a few days, so I think most that wanted one have got one. So thanks!

Well shit, another Target had TEN Bludds on the pegs. Guess that means they finally listened to us.

Now, let's hope they don't go: "Look at these Bludd clots (it’s a term!) on the shelves, see, GIJoe don't sell! Cut the orders for the Troopers, Vipers and (imminent) Alley Vipers orders coming in!"

Plus... all those people that bought whole cases of Bludds last month will probably return them all to Target too since his scalper price has plummeted. It would be so hilarious if CI Roadblock becomes more valuable than the other CI exclusives in the end. Bludd is completely sold out where I live though.
