Deadshot Custom
 

The plan was to make a Red Arrow/Arsenal custom but it just wasn't looking right. He looked more like Deadshot, so I went with it.

He's from the JoyToy Dark Source Trio, specifically Steiner, with the Funko figure's head. I had a lot of fun cutting up guns for gauntlets and making the double-barrel, double-magazine rifle. I added a bunch more holsters and such so that he was truly decked out, and a paint job over the whole thing.

Like a lot of others here, I had a lot of trouble finding SM Dr. Fate in stores, so I made my own. His base is the Jazwares Fortnite 4-inch Master Key. Originally I was going to sculpt the helmet and have him in a more modern style. Well, it didn't look good. So i got me a JLU animated figure of the good doctor and took his helmet & cape.

The full repaint had barely dried when I finally found the SM Dr. Fate in Target. So it goes.

I really want more DC figures. Ivy, Bluebird, Signal, Huntress, and then gimme Titans like Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy.

I really wish they would do some Titans.
The TV series isn't really kid-friendly though.
Some Stargirl characters would be cool.

Captain Boomerang
 

Today I've got a custom inspired by Mikestro_Allegato on Reddit. Can't post links yet with this account so you'll have to find them yourselves. Thanks for the inspo, Mikestro!

Captain Boomerang is the black tux Joker, the disheveled one with all the belts. It works so well to match Boomer's chaotic outfit energy.

I sculpted a flat shirt, fuzzy collar, and moustache. Gave him a full repaint and made him some boomerangs out of the plastic case, gluing smaller ones to his collar. I really liked the look of the energy Boomerangs from The Suicide Squad so I wanted to emulate those.

Went to Walmart for the first time in a minute and found Spinmaster Justice League 6 packs with Supes, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman. The shelf said $25 and online said $15, but the register said $5.

Wish they would have subbed in a GL as I never found that one.

Still, I doubled back and picked up a few more for Toys for Tots donations.

I just got back from Walmart, and at the front of the store in stocking stuffer display bins they had spin master 4 inch figures like last year. I finally grabbed the elusive Lex Luthor. The others were Superman, Wonder Woman, bearded Aquaman… I think that was all.

Comparison shot of some 3.75" to 5" Lex Luthor figures with his Warsuit. It's always been my favorite look for the character. One of my customs is thrown in there, obviously.

This is from a 2012 TMNT Baxter Stockman. I really liked the idea of a retro-robot suit for Lex, kinda like the robot from the Fleischer cartoons. I had some spare JoyToy mecha hands to complete the look. Head is just infinite heroes.
Still would like to clean up the lines and such.

Made him using a Hulkbuster from the IM2 line and a Public Enemies Lex head. Still need to track down a Lex in his business suit.

Is there any chance someone could pick up a Wonder Woman for me and send it? Would be an amazing Christmas gift. The prices are absurd on eBay with all the fees, extra tax etc. if someone could get one to me for under $25 I'd appreciate it.

If you can get Lex, Brainiac and Batwing too that'd be amazing. They're just not available here at all and the markup on ebay is absurd, I'm paying 300x thanks to shipping taxes etc.

Hope everything works out for you. I can't recall seeing a WW in person before. I got super lucky and found a lone Lex Luthor the last time I was in Wal-Mart so maybe some of those later figures are trickling out around here.

As for Brainiac I completely forgot they were even making him.
