Nope. Hasbro is not crossing the Avengers/X-men boundaries. Rogue will only be released with X-men figures, and the Onslaught head is being referred to as an "Easter egg" in the X-men wave.

Right. Didn't mean to confuse

warmachine6 10-27-2015 06:53 PM

i think the BAF is Apocalypse, A sentinel is much bigger than the Hulk Buster I'd say

The Rogue was unveiled with the newly re-arranged Cap wave at NYCC, causing many to think she is a part of that wave, when Hasbro pulled a fast one on everybody by announcing that she would be in a separate X-Men wave. She will be however coming with the classic Onslaught head as a bonus for those who finished Red Onslaught so they can create classic Onslaught. It is unknown if she will come with another piece to supplement the BAF for that X-Men wave at this time, but being that there is typically one figure per wave that carries a spare piece (for example Misty Knight and White Tiger held the same Rhino BAF piece,) this might be Hasbro's way of squeezing the most BAF pieces out for their money.

It's also f'n stupid. Having to collect parts over two separate waves of figures is both confusing and lame. It was tough enough with the Mandroid wave when the parts were released in two separate "swap" waves, but literally spreading them out over two waves, one of which is likely to be announced as some sort of exclusive (like the first X Series of figures were...) it just makes for a hot mess.

Phantomcrow 10-27-2015 08:40 PM

As high a demand that the Rogue figure is going to be I hope she is the double pack in the case next year. I don't even mean for just the Onslaught head, just for people who want Rogue. But if these forums are any indication, I think the cap wave is going to have a lot of people buying it ( who were not before ) just to make Onslaught now that the proper classic head is coming.

Black Arbor 10-27-2015 09:08 PM

Welp, my LCS did some clearing of house, and pulled out two each of the Hasbro Galactus and Sentinel from the back, all of them with the variant colors (Dark purple Galactus and cartoon-colored Sentinel). I really want the Galactus, buuuut they're asking $150... :P Anyone know if that's a fair deal, or should I haggle? I know I could look on Ebay, but I don't want inflated markup scalper prices :D

This is where a Walgreens exclusive comes in perfectly.

Captain Nash 10-28-2015 07:29 AM

I hope the Rogue is not hard to find. It would be a major PITA considering so many people want an updated, non-boxed set Rogue, that's an awesome looking figure, to replace one of the worst ML Toybiz made.

But I guess since I do have the fug version I'll not pay premium prices, but will get at a near-MSRP, hopefully. Unlike certain "other" figures, if they do end up being a part of this wave.

warmachine6 10-28-2015 08:19 AM

im hoping the x-men wave will give me figures i would very much so i can buy a box-set

I honestly still don't want the whole cap wave, but once again it seems like for myself that i might want that Onslaught BAF... really only ones that seem appealing are Cap and or Rogue. so what happen with the Namor figure and the guy with the american flag painted on his head.

Walgreens is honestly starting to become a PITA to find figures.... i got real lucky and found a bunch of the Black Ant figures when they first came out, but to this day im still not finished with the Marvel Funko pops and i also as others may have seen me post a day or 2 back. I still cant find me yellow costume DD....

Captain Nash 10-28-2015 06:24 PM

So over the weekend I filled in another hole in my collection and got the Toybiz Namor (for $40 including shipping.) It arrived today, pretty awesome. I think that concludes any back purchases in my ML excepting the X-Treme Rogue, The Young Avengers set and the one that will NEVER happen, that X-Force set.

It felt weird opening the clamshell again.....

According to an interview at NYCC, Namor will be a single figure retailer exclusive. I believe it was said that Nuke will be part of the second wave of Captain America figures.

Which X-Force set are you referring to?

The Wolverine, Archangel, Psylocke one. Really the only reason I'd want it at all is because of the Psylocke but well, at the prices it goes for it's not gonna happen.

Oh wow! I didn't realize how expensive that's gotten. I'm glad I got mine when it came out. Good luck finding one.

warmachine6 10-29-2015 06:13 AM

well you might get lucky with psylocke she might be in the new x-men wave due to being in the Apocalypse film

300 dang, although hasn't it been always that price or was it 200 before. But I'm glad I have it as well. Would be one of the last few pieces that I would get rid of if I ever had to go that route.

daetrin 10-29-2015 11:10 AM

I was lucky enough to pick up Psylocke from eBay in those first days after SDCC for a very reasonable price.
(I think it was 35 or 40 dollars inc. shipping)
I've actually been lucky that way for the past 4 years.
Not so much luck this year though.
I kept looking and looking but have not found a Magik for less than 75 dollars (including shipping), although most went for 90+, which meant I had to pass on her.

To keep me from crying myself to sleep at night, I've convinced myself that one day an original new mutants box set will happen.

On another note, do you know that feeling of seeing in box pictures of new Legends and not being able to stop checking for pre orders even though you know it will be at least another month?

I might be addicted.

Byrnes 10-29-2015 12:15 PM

Psylocke and Magik are two I haven't haven't gotten either because of costs. The more I wait the more they go up. It's a vicious cycle.

Starlord67 10-29-2015 01:49 PM

Not to derail the X-men train... Cuz I loves me some Mutants.... But shouldn't we be getting a Titania figure on that large female buck?? She, Enchantress and Sif seem like no Brainers at this point.

I would definitely want a Titania. Sif I'm meh on but would likely get as I would with almost any female character. And of course Enchantress is the ultimate no-brainer in the line and waaaaay up on my wish list. I approve!

warmachine6 10-29-2015 02:52 PM

i think rogue , polaris , and enchantress were the ones that have been demanded for a long time according to the interview that was a few pages back

Charliegone 10-30-2015 12:43 AM

Man...I'm glad I got the SDCC X-force set for 150. Now you can only get one at that price, but man I'm kicking my butt for selling the extra SDCC Thunderbolts set I got from my cousin...oh well.

ChuckSass 10-30-2015 04:40 AM

i'm glad i got Psylocke and Magik for $35 each from eBay when they came out. I just finally ordered Hela and man was she pricy

SymbiSpidey 10-30-2015 08:23 AM

Speaking of that SDCC X-Force set, really hope we get an updated Jim Lee Psylocke on that X-Force mold, with updated ankle articulation. Would be an easy enough repaint.
