My local store had some of the King Shark wave reduced as the packaged was all broken, picked up another Batgirl as the leg joints on my one seem weak and I'm scared it will break at some point!

Zero Year Batman V1 and V2 Side by Side. Left is V1. Which Version do you lean towards as your Fav. Choice?

^^^

i like both..but i want the buckles/straps and pouches from ver2. on ver. 1

Black Arbor 06-22-2017 01:05 PM

Both look good but I'd go with V.1, simply because he doesn't use the Ultimate Captain America legs that I can't stand :D I think DCUC legs have the most aesthetically pleasing joints of any of my figures, besides some specialty market stuff.

V1 on the left. I like the scale of his accessories as them seem to be a more realistic size compared to the figure. Also, since someone else mentioned it I can't unsee those ball jointed hips on the V2.

My Walmart finally got in the King Shark wave and thanks to every other Multiverse figure not selling they were also priced as clearance at $16! The only figure I wanted from this wave initially was Joker (who I just wound up ordering online back in April) but I sort of figured if I ever found Batgirl I'd probably get her too and last night I did. Still bothered by Mattel's refusal to enter the modern era of articulation but that's to be expected. I am confused though as to why they bothered giving this figure a swivel at the bicep if they were also gonna give it a swivel and hinge at the elbow, it seems like just the swivel bicep and elbow hinge would've been easier or maybe just the swivel-hinge elbow. Of course being Mattel there is some paint smudging on her mask but it's not terrible. I know it's asking too much of Mattel but maybe the screen side of the phone could've been painted a light blue or even white just to make it a little more phone-like. My only other paint note is that I feel like her hair should have more of a red-orange color than it does. Still a cool toy of a cool costume for a cool character, I may have gotten the Icons version over this except that I don't care about the bike and the extra space it takes up plus how much more expensive that bike makes the Icons version.

Same.

Black Arbor 06-25-2017 02:27 PM

Shameless plug but I'm clearing out my DCUC dupes and I've got 'em all priced at 10 bucks each, even the collect and connects!

I've heard that the "Rookie" Robo-Bat wave has been showing up in stores, has anyone picked these up yet? If so how are the figures?

Cripes i wish. My area ( and stores ) are still over saturated with those damn doomsday wave figs. Its like the stores refuse to clearamce em ( except a couple fail marts ) and no one wants em anymore,

The Ares wave has been appropriately flooded into my area, the only one that is any hard to find is the TRU exclusive Wonder Woman but when they get it they get a bunch. The King Shark wave on the other hand has been very elusive and I've only seen it once in person so thankfully I nabbed the only two I wanted.

Augustus_Cole 07-17-2017 01:57 AM

i FINALLY saw a figure from the wave...
There was a hawkman in Target (actually 2 of them) but no other figs.
So at least i have a King Shark Leg now..
I gave the Hawkman figure to my nephew.

Tomax 07-20-2017 02:56 PM

i know everybody is busy looking at pics from sdcc but look what came in the mail today...

Sigh, I wish I had kept my Mattel figures. :-(

Dr Kain 07-23-2017 11:20 PM

So Mattel has shown off three new figures, Rebirth WW, Simon Baz, and Ray. And to my amazement, they all have double jointed knees (not arms though), wrist hinges, and possibly ankle pivots/rockers. WHy they never even showed these off at the show is beyond me.
