Kinda interesting how there's zero interest in the single card Starlord figure though, seeing as how it's the same exact body as the MU AIM soldier... buy a ton cheap, spray 'em down with some yellow, sculpt or cast the super easy AIM head, and you've got an army. I'm picking up a few for that reason as well as for a classic Red Skull custom.

Funny I've been thinking about doing that too. I've been looking for an aim soldier for a while now as the secondary market price has went way up.
I can't wait until we find out the future of this line at sdcc. Ordered some bossfight figures while I wait for MI news.

Probably because anyone who wanted this figure got the team pack a while ago. Definitely Star Lord's coolest costume though.

It is pretty funny though that after releasing probably their most well thought out wave of figures to date, they immediately follow up with what's possibly their worst. I realize it's probably to coincide with GoG hitting theaters, but what non-comic book fan viewer of that movie will recognize or want a Starlord that looks nothing like what's on screen? Baffling.

Except for the dome-cap they pretty much are using his Abnett and Lanning helmet, so close enough. Still a lame wave distribution, as I've noted before, getting the team pack is cheaper.

question up for debate, best 3.75 wolverine/Logan figure? looking for a loose one, I'm loving the Logan from the silver samurai MU two pack, but due to it being nearly impossible for me to find anywhere, I can't get myself to open the one I picked up this past weekend...

Why the heck wouldn't you open it? It's a great set... I just got it recently and Ive been posing the sh*t out of both figures for the last two weeks.

How's that wolverine. I like the silver samurai.

The wolverine in the set is surprisingly really cool. Great paint and uses the same body as MU Astonishing Wolverine, but also has the best claws on any 3.75 wolverine ever.

I was thinking getting the set for samurai and get rid of wolverine since I have astonishing wolverine

xMostWanted559x 07-10-2014 11:11 PM

What made u guys decide to collect 3.75 vs 6 inch. I noticed 6 inch figures don't cost too much but doesn't seem to have same amount of figures

ukmu 07-10-2014 11:19 PM

@MostWanted.... get it and trade Wolverine to COLLECTVINTAGE. Help each other while helping yourself, that is the TA way. You two should pm each other and work it out.

Working on some.custom.vehicles this weekend. Finally got a rotary tool so I can cut the wheels off of a GI JOE PIT MOBILE HQ and put on the tank tracks so it looks like a proper war machine. Can't wait to finish it and share pics with all of its HYDRA goodness. It holds two mechs, a giant drop ship and has enough guns to free Somalia from oppression.

I'm in talks with two people who has that set if I get one I'll be happy to split the cost with him

Open it, don't limit your enjoyment of toys because you worry about what's rare or valuable. Enjoy the toys for what they are, free them from Magneto-prison. Personally I like the Astonishing Wolverine, but I suppose if you're going for an earlier look, it's hard to go wrong with almost any of 'em.

The Astonishing Wolverine has molded details, this one is smooth. It's based on one of the gold and brown suit figures (thanks to Cool Toy Review for this picture), with Weapon-X forearms, and a new head and hands.

Space and budgeting. When I started into MU it was only two or so figures, but then I decided that if I wanted to collect Marvel the smaller scale was easier to work with. Using current prices you can get two 4" figures for the price of about one 6" figure. The variety of characters is also much greater in a smaller scale which releases more waves with more figures in each wave than larger figures. I also took into account that the 6" figures are relatively just blimped up 4" figures, slightly better paint apps, slightly more pose, etc. but nothing much really pushing them over the top. I know it's not fair, but I would say that other companies have spoiled me in regards to 6" figures. I'll use the incomparable NECA for example: the Dutch figure they made for Predator is around 7" tall and is, like Marvel legends, around $20. The main difference is it looks like this.

Again, not really fair, what with this being modeled after a real person. I suppose my point is: I've been spoiled by other companies on the 6" plus scale, so Marvel 4" figures are still cool for their price and size.

DBL117 07-11-2014 02:08 AM

Hey, I am trying to work out a custom, but do any of you guys know a 3.75" figure that wears a suit like the MU Pro X?

bmorr 07-11-2014 04:37 AM

the MIB 3 figures

ukmu 07-11-2014 08:12 AM

I personally have never had any interest in the 6" figures. They have zero appeal to me. I guess it would go back to my Freudian childhood play habits. I enjoyed GI JOE and Star Wars the most. Also, vehicles and playsets are paramount to me, that option simply isn't there for the 6" line.

I agree also They have a bad habit of not making people. Bulldozer comes to mind,

collectvintage 07-11-2014 08:35 AM

great idea, if we can split the lot PM me... i literally have hundred's of MU items in box i collected MOC... now i love opening them i purchased about 8 loose figures i couldn't find MOC from a toy store last week and have kept going ever since...

i'd open it if i could easily find another !!

how is the SS from the crappy Wolverine 3.75 line? my local dollar store had it for 2 bucks so i thought i would give it a shot

I dig both lines but a heavy emphasis on MU. This line does have its fair share of unreleased stuff as well.

K Dubious 07-11-2014 09:38 AM

I agree with a lot of the points made of 6 vs 3.75, but personally it came down to some simple stuff for me, Cost and Availability. I never wanted any of the 3.75 guys for the longest time. In fact I vividly remember seeing both versions of Vision peg warm and thought who would want these tiny things??? Well the answer was me I just hadn't realized it yet. I may be the only person on the forum who's number one motivation to collect was Mavel vs. Capcom 3 I used x-23 and thought "Man, I wish I had an action figure of this BadAss Chick" and then Hasbro went and released her. I know she was available from toybiz legends already, but honestly who has seen that figure? It is really bad much like Scarlet Witch her legends figure is equally horrible. Then the collecting side of me took over and then the OCD side took over, I not only had to have every figure (plus ones they don't make), but they all had to be in scale. The Mantle was never the same.

Also the new setup is really coming along. The Green grass will be much different when finished, but I wanted to give a taste of whats to come

My feelings exactly. It's why I touched my toes in the water of Legends, but MU made me jump in. The idea of Star Wars sized Marvel comic characters is like a childhood dream come true.

Two dollars sounds about right for that one, it only has about 5 POA, but it looks fairly nice. Some good sculpting, and decent paint, for two dollars I'd say go ahead.

The fast action one? I saw that one clearance too

Do they make like a legends size sentinel if I didn't want to go with the giant one
